Proximity to lovely gardens and other tourist attractions.
Property was in need of TLC,some redecoration, new shower fittings, carpets. Disappointed with the hotel, but staff did their best.
Very clean hotel and helpful staff. Definitely stay there again
Nice place, quiet and restful.
Breakfast service quite mediocre. Some personel not very nice.
Easy to find and great to have on-site pub so you don't have to go out to eat. The WIFI was strong and we didn't have any issues. Very quiet and relaxing sleep.
Although a great place, it is rather dated and the furnishings need some refresh in the rooms, i.e carpet bathroom, etc.
Ground floor room 17th century Inn but very much 21st century facilities. Well cooked Dinner with good choice menu.
Would have liked some fresh air at night, Double Glazing did not permit.
Very Pleasent Restaurant and Patio. Extremely comfortable bed. Lovely nights sleep.
Food. Staff. Bedroom. Public Area's. Ample Parking Etc
Not staying longer
Oldie worldie sort of place Nice
Fantastic, charming, atentive staff for whom nothing was ever too much trouble. Excellent food. All round a great hotel
Easy and comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price Fresh fruit for breakfast and good quality cooked breakfast Convenience for Ashdown Forest
Starting to need refurbishment Adjacent to main road
The look of Roebuck ,beautiful building and grounds. The food in the resturant was lovely.
There was nothing we did not like.
Location, Staff and quality of the room
Food could be improved.
Nice friendly Staff, and nice location.
That you could here people quite clearly what they was saying in the room next to us.
Close to venue for Spartan Run Good choice of breakfast Comfy bed Hot and powerful shower. Good sized room for a standard double
If being fussy: Wifi signal was very weak.
Staff friendly and polite. Lovely view from bar/restaurant, food nice. Good shower and bath.
We had to change rooms because the first was dirty. The second room much better but the window was broken and only opened with great difficulty. Walls so thin I was kept awake by snoring in the next room. Beds narrow. I was also irritated when trying to check out by persistant attempts to interest me in paying for breakfasts I hadn't had, ignoring me when I pointed out I hadn't had any breakfast.
Very helpful & friendly staff.
Dinner was awful.
I booked an executive room which the Booking.com website said had a sitting area - in fact it was identical to the size of the cheaper rooms. I feel I was taken to the cleaners to pay quite a lot extra for a sleigh bed in a precisely similar room.
Clean room, helpful staff.
The kitchen is rather average.
Comfortable beds and the best power shower! Shame about the stinky shower curtain, they need to be changed regularly!!!!! If you need to use them !! Food in pub/restaurant attached is plentiful and yummy Very quite, great nights sleep
Stinky shower curtain - sorry
The service was excellent. all the staff were very helpful and friendly. couldnt fault anything! excellent
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent value stay with an excellent value breakfast. We booked for an overnight stay to attend a local wedding reception and our experience at the Roebuck really hit the spot.
The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was delicious. There was plenty of hot water for a bath after a very long drive. Free Wi-fi was a great extra. The room was very clean and fairly spacious for a twin.
The second bed was up against the wall which was a little restrictive and there were no plugs near the bed. Mobile signal was patchy but probably due to the location rather than anything else.
Nice breakfast, cycle storage available
In summer with a window open, the traffic noise is a pain from the A road running alongside
Friendly staff and accommodating chef in respect of my special dietary needs.
Everythlng was fine, close to wedding venue etc.
Nothing everthing was fine, prices a little steep on drinks.
