quality of the food and the staff were all very helpful. the hotel was very clean in all areas and the rooms were very comfortable.
Floorboards were a bit creaky but it is an old building.
The room was excellent - spotless with impressive views - great personal service - highly recommended!
Breakfast choice could be better - eg yogurt and granola
Nice decor and great friendly staff - food was also great
nothing to dislike for us
only down side no lift in hotel
The staff. The new décor, food very good. Hotel in a fantastic location
In spite of being incredibly busy, staff had excellent customer service skills and were friendly and efficient, all were prepared to give extra help.
Limited parking as wedding guests had filled the car park.
Good location for town centre, with excellent views of wye valley. Very tastefully decorated in keeping with the age and style of property. Good breakfast, with plenty of choice and available for a few hours, so suiting different peoples needs. Very comfortable bed in well presented and clean rooms . Did not have evening meal here so cannot comment on that. On the whole a very enjoyable stay.
Very small issue, but got confused on a couple of occasions finding our room, as there are various corridors so could be possibly better direction signs. Only a small issue which did nothing to spoil our stay, in fact caused a couple of giggles
hotels positioning.Slightly old fashioned, but that was a plus. layout good also breakfast
nothing negative to comment on
The ambience - the location and the standards
The management of residents/ non residents mealtimes - no priority given to residents - had to eat elsewhere!
Large double room with excellent view Helpful staff and lots of them Excellent location (although Ross itself was disappointing)
Weak shower Poor breakfast - made to order so raised expectations but was like a heated tray and eggs were over cooked Evening meal lasagne was greasy
Tastefully refurbished, retaining the feeling of an historic hotel. Comfortable and relaxed but with well trained, attentive and smiley staff. Excellent value for money and worth a tad extra for river and far reaching view. Very good breakfasts in a pleasant dining room where staff were excellent. We will definitely return.
Nothing - Would just say get back early on weekend evenings to bag a parking space! Weekdays no problem. There is parking overnight around the hotel.
Very nice meal, friendly staff, clean and comfortable would like to return some time
The Wifi in the room was a little poor
we pre advised a late check in (1am) all was in place when we arrived.
Pleasant helpful staff Recently renovated Very clean and tidy
The price of the main meals mid week, very good value.
The bedroom needed a bit more storage space, ie drawers, had we been staying longer than 2 nights it could have been a problem. This is not a comment on the size of the bedroom, which was more than adequate
Double bed rather than queen size. No wifi available in our room
Lovely room, great service.
Could not get wifi although brochure in room said it was available
location of hotel excellent for town and local countryside, good breakfast. lovely views over river from balcony.
bedroom windows looked straight onto street outside with no net curtains meaning main curtains had to be drawn when changing showering etc. rooms very warm
We didn't feel restricted in any way, without lots of rules, as if it was our own home. We loved the decor throughout the whole Hotel. The gardens were beautifully landscaped too. Thank you.
The creaky floor boards were very loud!
location was beautiful All the staff were very welcoming and sociable Restaurant prices reasonable drinks on the terrace fab breakfast vast choice Local walks on the doorstep highly recommended
can't say there was anything to dislike
the room was very nice Staff very polite and helpful
cooked breakfast on the first day was a bit poor, watery and tasted of vinegar i assume from the poached egg. But im probably just being picky :)
not a lot, nout!
The hotel was newly refurbished Very friendly staff The view from the Marchioness suite was fantastic Comfortable Bed Lovely breakfast
Nice traditional hotel.
Chain menu. Third time in 4 days - Stratford, Old Sodbury and Ross. Wifi not good.
