A superb location. Staff very welcoming and generally friendly. Bar area - a good focal point. the Guinness was good, the food really nice too. Clean and comfortable. Nothing really. Bottled water in the room would have been nice...

Warm welcome on arrival from doorman as well as reception staff who were very busy as there were three weddings scheduled. Service and food at breakfast was excellent. All staff were friendly and helpful. Slight delay in registration due to rooms not being ready due to late checkouts from previous day. This was however dealt with well by person on desk. Could consider greater choice of teas and more of them in room.

Plenty of parking 1. We were tolf when we arrived that as we had booked through you were not entitled to a curtesy breakfast even though we had tried to book direct on the hotel website and had spoken to them. They did offer this when we complained. 2. the room was relatively small and dated by modern standards as was the en-suite bathroom. 3. no lift that we could see and the brassiere was on the first floor.

My stay was very brief due to a family bereavement so my comments are directed at the service provided which was excellent. Staff extremely polite.

Nice atmosphere - very much English country style. Nice and tidy room. Free wifi. 1. Arrived late and hungry, and kitchen already closed. Only sandwiches available- which is ok and understandable at 23:00. But the quality was very poor - seemingly made without any attention and passion: 2 slices of bread with cheese and a pickle next to it. 2. Very rude staff at check out. 3. No lift

Excellent room, bar/restaurant. Staff in bar and restaurant friendly but professional. Reception staff a bit preoccupied with other stuff. Didnt explain where breakfast would be served or any info about hotel. I asked if they could direct me to somewhere local (less than 2miles away) and just got the response 'sorry I dont know'! No offer to find out for me which I would have expected.

I continue to like this hotel having stayed there several times - the good parking and relatively quiet location close to good roads, are particularly attractive. The room was well presented although on the small side - fine for single occupancy but I guess a squeeze for two.Very comfortable bed. Food slightly pricey but good quality and innovative. The staff remain on the whole very pleasant but there was a lot of training of new staff and at times they appeared inattentive and uncoordinated until directed by senior staff - a temporary blip I am sure! My usual grouse about disabled facilities - although there was a wheelchair user who seemed well attended to - the fact remains that there are no lifts and the breakfast room on the first floor remains inaccessible to those that have difficulties with stairs.

I was born in this area (Northaw) and love to revisit. The Royal Chace was wonderful, with the staff being just fantastic. The restaurant food was phenomenal. I will come back with every chance I get. This doesn't affect me, but when people have to visit loved ones in the Enfield Chase Hospital, this Hotel must be a boon to them.

Pleasant staff. Rooms not very large, but adequate. Lovely courtyards, but kept locked while the sun was in them. Apparently opened in the evening. Would like a small shelf or something in the shower to put shampoo etc. on. Shower was very small.

Excellent rural location with convenient links to the M25. Very peaceful and idealic setting Continental breakfast is very expensive for what you get. Limited pastries, and the last time I saw croissants that small was when my daughter was making breakfast for her Sylvanian house toys.

Location, price, good standards in the room and friendly staff. The room was very warm and made it an uncomfortable nights sleep even though I did try to turn off the radiator.
