The location is superb, central yet quiet with lovely views of the Cathedral. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the hotel is modern and yet has retained character. |

The location was excellent. I was attending a concert in Exeter cathedral, which was why I chose this particular hotel, located in the catherdral yard. However, it was literally around the corner from the city centre, shops, bars and restaurants which was another bonus. |

The hotel was in a prime position for the city centre for both shopping and restaurants There was no parking for the hotel other than a 5 minute walk from a pay and display car park, not good as it was raining on our visit |

Our room was spacious and stylish; and the hotel is very central, being a stone's throw from the cathedral. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff; they were happy to change us from our initially allocated noisy room to a much quieter room with the utmost dignified professionalism. |

Despite being at the back of hotel was quiet after 10.30 ish. Staff very helpful and cheerful. Probs. with tv switch on top of screen. could not see it and called for uneccessary help. Might be useful to have info about this in room. Glass shelf position is poor for use of sink. |

We liked the setting of the hotel in the Cathedral Yard and the access to the centre of Exeter We were very disappointed with the room that was allocated to us bearing in mind the cost of it. |

Fantastic location - right in the heart of the city overlooking the Cathedral. An extremely comfortable, well appointed room. The bed was very comfotable - certainly a notch above a normal hotel bed. The meal in the hotel was restaurant was without a doubt one of the best I have ever had in the UK. The location makes it hard to get a car close to the hotel so be prepared to lug your baggage a long way or wrestle with the one way system to get your car close. In a way the modernisation has de-charmed the hotel a little bit. There is very little sense of it's history or character left. It is definitely not a value for money hotel. |

It was a professionally run hotel; staff were helpful and the room was clean and well kept. The evening special - £25 for a two course meal for two plus a bottle of wine - was excellent value and very competitive. The cost of the breakfast was ridiculous - you could get twice as much food for half the price a couple of doors down. |

The bed linen in the room was dirty. There was a function in the hotel on the first floor which went on until 12.30. We were on the third floor and could hear every word of the dj and disco. Second time at an Abode Hotel and problems both times, never again. |

We liked the central location and the nice decorated rooms. The extra bed was of such a poor quality, that our son had to sleep on the ground. On the top he got an asthma attack. |

The bed was extremely good and the room well-equipped - but the room is made smaller by the absurdity of the bathtub actually in the room. This is a 'designer' thing and really not sensible in this context. Much better use that area for a small sitting area or an easy chair/small sofa etc. I do not like two levels in a room - possibility of accident at night? You really must update the showers to directional ones - overhead is not good for those with hair styles to preserve or who do not want to wash their hair or wear a cap! Power showers please! |

Fantastic bed. Could have slept for weeks. My room did not quite live up to expectations. I was supposed to get a desireable room, I felt it wasnt up to standard, and it was noisy. I have stayed in this hotel previously, and booked independantly- I got a far better hotel room this way. |

The location is second to none across from the Historic Exeter Cathedral. Michael Caines never disappoints! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are always a bit tight. |

Location-right in the centre yet the green and , view of the cathedral, breakfast, amazing meal walk in the park by the castle We had one night to celebrate 30 years of marrige and a much needed rest and our early morning call woke us up at 5 instead of 6.30am. We got up, showered and dressed before we saw the clock. We left tired and a little cross. the staff said sorry but it would have helped to have a little token to sweeten the morning and make us want to come back as we had spent £300+. |
