good location of hotel helpful staff comfortable bed
Probably a very unfortunate allocation of room - it was the last one available. Noisy air conditioning, drawing cooking smells from restaurant/bar Very noisy outside extractor fan. Difficult to sleep. Disappointing.
The hotel is in a lovely location opposite the Cathedral. A warm welcome greets you on arrival. Food service and accommodation always excellent . Look forward to our next visit soon .
The staff, the decoration, the restaurant and the location. My room was nice and big, also the bed.
The toiletries in the bathroom a bit poor. Beautiful lift but an inconvenient door , it is very noisy for the rooms close to the lift .
excellent position, staff very professional
standard room was small as was bathroom.
The young ladies that worked the front desk. Always helpful smiling. Anything you needed always there and happy to help. To me they are the ones that reflect the hotel! They are genuinely kind.
A lovey boutique hotel. I loved the english scones at the cafe downstairs. The coffee is excellent too.
Spiders on the windows at night.
Nothing all was perfect
Staff were excellent. View of the cathedral was good.
Very difficult to Find the hotel a resident of Exter got into my car to show me how to get to the hotel, I arrived in Exeter at 4.30pm and arrived at the hotel 2 hours later, very frustrating. Parking is another issue, very bad. Bedside lamp no bulb, and there was quite a bit of dust.
Eggs benedict for breakfast. Room upgrade and size of bed !
Party noise from other parts of hotel
Free wi-fi unusal for UK hotels
The lift- if door not closed properly, lift not work. Not brilliant at running up three flights of stairs. Hotel staff would have done this, but don't like to bother them
Location is excellent overlooking the Cathedral and handy for restaurants and shops in central Exeter
Standard room and bathroom very small. Dropping off at the hotel by car can be awkward
Very close to the shops and overlooking Exeter Cathedral. Nice old building. Food in the main restaurant very good. I had a room at the back of the hotel so it was nice and peaceful
Rooms at the front have great views but can be a little noisy as there are a couple of pubs that overspill onto the Cathedral Green. Food in the cafe bar not particularly good
The beds are extremely comfortable, had a great view of the Cathedral from the room. Great facilities and very central. Ticks all the boxes - loved it.
The atmosphere mans staff were very welcoming great location
The room and bed were a bit too small
Brilliant room with an amazing view of the Cathedral Gorgeous décor Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff on reception, in the bar and in the restaurant Great location
The view from the room and the style of the hotel
Hard to get to hotel and no parking at hotel
Room at the front is very memorable
Breakfasts need to be more cordinated. The Delivery of the full B'fast needs to allow for those having a cereal /Juice Etc first.
Location. Bathroom was clean
No place sit &relax other than bar. Slow to make up the room. Still wasn't done by 12.30pm. Pillows were poor.
Fantastic location and very helpful staff
Great staff and food Suites are fantastic Got upgraded on two occasions City centre location
Parking arrangement is ok, but not ideal Some of the basic rooms are a bit pokey
Overall the food staff and cleanliness of the room was excellent.
We had a room which looked over an alleyway and there was an isolated noise factor but overall no complaints.
very stylish rooms; superb, unbeatable view right at the mediaeval cathedral; presence of high-quality restaurant.
no desk in the room (even the 'luxury' one); the adjacent "Well House" pub is liable to close arbitrarily over an hour before the normal closing time, depending on whether the manager thinks business is too light… very odd, and can be really off-putting if, unawares, one wants a drink with guests at 9.55 pm...
Everything!! We were upgraded to an amazing room with a view of the cathedral. The staff are always so welcoming and helpful. Would recommend without a doubt and will be returning soon.
Loved the room, the bed, the location, the hotel. Our 1st visit to Exeter for shopping trip and it couldn't of been better :) Very beautiful spot, hope to return at Christmas.
This is the second time I have stayed at the Abode in Exeter, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, perfect location too!
