The location is very good. The room was spacious with a large balcony and wonderful sea view and excellent bathroom. The breakfast was very good. The evening meal choices become boring after a few visits.

I have written on a number of occasions in praise of the this hotel. The staff are excellent. The downside on this occasion was parents who allowed there children to run wild throughout the ground floors of the hotel. This really did spoil our stay and effectively prevented us from eating at the hotel. This hotel needs a guest lounge where they can dine, drink and get a bit of peace. I know that the staff are aware of the problem usually caused by none residents.

Perfect location. Balcony rooms have an amazing view out to sea and are very well designed. Food is good and staff helpful and polite. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Deal when visiting my family - it feels like a home from home. Deal is a mobile blackspot so free wifi is a must really - the hotel has bt openzone which is expensive and didn't work very well when I stayed. Only parking is local council owned and run and is expensive.

I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and it has never let me down. The Royal Hotel has stunning location right on Deal Beach. The hotel offers great customer service, serves great food, at great prices. There are great places to visit nearby like Deal and Walmer Castles both a short walk away. The staff are exceptionally friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms offer complementary tea and coffee and are of a very good size. The rooms are very clean and beds very comfortable. I can highly recommend this hotel whether it’s for business or pleasure. Wish it had free WiFi

We stayed at the Royal on Valentines Day/Night, we had a lovely room and the dinner was very good. Excellent service. The breakfast was really good. We had a really nice time. Thanks! Bedroom: Although dealt with immediately, the bed cover was marked with what looked like a splodge of chocolate. Bathroom: The hot and cold tap on one of the sinks were minus there enamel fixtures H and C, It would be even nicer to have a stand of some kind where you could put soap, shampoo razor on while having a soak in the lovely rolltop bath.

The hotel was well-located, right next to the beach. We didn't have a sea view, unfortunately, but what we did get was the biggest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Such a luxury. It also had an excellent bathroom - shower and bath! The staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner had finished by the time we arrived (past 9pm) but they pointed us towards a good local restaurant a stone's throw away. A good range of breakfast choices was offered in the morning: continental, full English and kippers among others. I liked this hotel a lot and would definitely recommend it. Not especially cheap but I'd say it's worth the money.

The weather was very poor when we visited the royal, However when we walked into our room it was warm and welcoming and we felt immediately at home. The bar for residents appeared to close at 11.00am which i felt was a little early. I think a 2 day cancelation period in the winter is too long. The weather was very poor (snow) at the time of our visit and we nearly had to returned home because of the driving conditions.

The atmosphere The central areas were rather cold and there seemed to be no way of turning the heating up. The bathroom was also rather lacking in comfort - the bath panel was detached and the toiletries were a bit sparse.

There is nothing to dislike about the hotel, however, dragging tables and heavy arm chairs across the restaurant floor, diectly below ones room, presumably to clean, at 0700 as dawn breaks dies not exactly make for relaxarion. The staff are young efficuent and charming and I suspect overly enthusiastic, hence tables at dawn.

The bedroom we were allocated was very spacious and although it was a cold day the room was lovely and warm. There were tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities with unusually these days biscuits. The staff were polite and friendly and the breakfast consisted of good quality food which was well cooked. We ate in the bar one night and found there to be a good choice of food on the menu. Would definitely stay there again. My only criticism is that the bathroom needs a bit of tlc.

The large bathroom. When I arrived at the hotel I was shown to my room but was dissapointed the room was so cold the room was not inviting because it was cold, considering we are in December I expected a nice cosy room!.The temperature is controlled downstairs. They said they had now put the heating on. The overall size of the rooms was more than enough for me, the bathroom is lovely! The bed was terribly uncomfortable
