Breakfast was fantastic
Lovely location and room.staff very professional at reception.very clean.
Breakfast service was poor.I'm a profesional myself in the industry.the two staff didnt have a clue.first half hour to get coffee and toast where only 3 tables were sat.My fried egg was hard when it should be runny.not Gd value for money.
Staff friendly and helpful. Room excellent, very modern and comfortable. Even provided with fresh milk in room. Bar food really good and reasonably priced. Didn't get the chance to try the restaurant.
Very poor Wi-Fi.
Convenience for the local amenities, beach, pier etc. Very comfortable ambiance.
No parking, only public although adjacent to the Hotel costs £1.00 per hour. It is a pity that the Hotel cannot make an arrangement with the Council
Size of the room. Quietness of the room. Good strong wifi signal even though we were in the Gods. Huge breakfast and very nice too. Staff extremely polite, especially the breakfast guy.
We were in the Hardy, and the floorboards were quite creaky in places. Didn't bother me, but I felt sorry for the people below us.
cosy atmosphere friendlly staff excellent food
large, comfortable room; excellent location on seafront and near old town and pier; welcoming, friendly staff
Could not be closer to the sea. Friendly staff appreciated as was elderly woman on my own. Warm, comfortable and traditional.
Need some form of locking mechanism or chain on inside of door. Know can only be opened by key but felt slightly vulnerable as was on my own.
Beautiful decor. V comfy bed. Stunning sea view. Excellent location for vintage shops. Spotlessly clean. Pleasant staff.
Lighting far too dim in the room...
The room and balcony, the staff.
I had a emergency whole there and reception helped me get the information I needed quickly and efficiently, Great hotel lovely breakfast will return
Restaurant food average
The family room was really big, this was really good for our young baby. The staff were all very helpful and always good for a chat about the area and life in general. The facilities were good and the fact we could have a travel cot set up in our room before our arrival was one less thing for to worry about.
no decent fruit salad at breakfast
Brilliant location, Friendliness of staff,
No hotel car park, very surprised and disappointed that there wasn't a fridge in the bedrooms - particularly given that one of our rooms was a luxury balcony room
Great location for the beach, excellent views, close to local amenities of shops, pubs and cafes. Car park outside hotel with reasonable rates. Staff very professional and friendly and gave excellent customer service. Lively bar in hotel. Interesting foyer area, good menu choice in hotel bar and in the restaurant
Wellington room - lovely overlooking the sea.
Large, comfortable room with a view and an excellent bed. We stayed in a superior double and would book the same again. Good choice of breakfast and very good service.
A few little things would have made it better. There was nowhere in the bathroom to put down a toilet bag but there is plenty if room for a small table. The light for the bathroom mirror and shaver socket were above the mirror and too high for me to reach. Little things but for the price should have been thought of.
The hotel was in a great spot, facing the beach and in the heart of the town. It was fully modernised, but still retained its historical character. Our bedroom was large, very comfortable and quiet, with a large en-suite bathroom. Restaurant menu and wine list excellent, the food was high quality and good value. The bar was lively, very popular with locals and good value. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
The council-run car park adjoining the hotel was very busy at certain times. The hotel wifi was not easily accessible - need to subscribe to Sky.
The location could not be easily bettered. It is worth paying extra for a room with a balcony, as there are few hotels of this type which are right on the beach. The Rooms and bathrooms were very large and comfortable.
The Food was fairly basic, but was acceptable.
Sitting on the balcony eating breakfast, it just couldn't be bettered anywhere in the world.
The location is quite nice The cosy atmosphere The friendly staff Breakfast Food at the restaurant was excellent Perfect for families with kids
The hotel was nicely situated on the seafront. Our room was beautifully decorated along with being very spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the food and drink on offer was of a good standard contributing to a very pleasant stay for us both.
Looking out to the sea
Friendly staff Dog friendly Great location Clean Good selection of drinks in room Nice food
Beds very uncomfortable
