The Royal Hotel Cardiff - A Bespoke Hotel  

Along with being ideally located in the middle of the City, the staff at The Royal Hotel Cardiff are extremely helpful and friendly.

The location was fantastic expecially for young couples who were intening on going out for the night life as your in the middle of it all. Room was fantastic and huge & batroom was beautiful. Staff were very polite an helpful. We had a really lovely stay.

My only ba comment is it is a bit of a confusing entrance where you have to go up 2 flights of stairs just to get to the reception desk.

Parking cost us £16+ when on the website it said £10Could not open window - no ventilation in bathroom- no bath

Room was extremely cold, poor heating system. The bathroom tiled floor was cracked with water seeping up through the cracks and the bathroom door would jam on the floor as a result. The price for my stay was increased to apply a £2 credit card surcharge which was not included in the "pay up front, no refunds" advance booking direct from the website.

This hotel is in a fantastic location! Close to a wide selection of shopping, restaurants and bars. Staff were wonderful and very friendly. Decor throughout the premises is a refreshingly modern contemporary style and creates a lovely atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay and we are looking forward to staying again soon.

The room we stayed in was amazing!! £79 for a deluxe room and it was well worth the money, it was like our own little apartment rather than a room, very nice

If I had to find something I didn't like it would be the lower lift, it was very slow and also sometimes needed 2 or 3 presses of the button to make it come

Nice looking hotel, fantastic location for Cardiff shops and nightlife, great staff.

Noisy floor in room above us, unable to open bedroom windows which the staff also tried and were unable although they did supply us with a fan to help keep us cooler.

Excellent welcome - the staff were very clued up about my food intollernces, also we were very grateful for the left luggage facility

We were on floor three and could clearly hear the music from the pub in the building next door resonating through the building. I called reception in the early evening and they assured me the music was from the hotel bar and that it finished at 11.30. They did in fairness offer to move us to the next floor up. I declined on the basis the music finished at a reasonable time ,no such luck. It is obviously a common problem. Staff were very friendly and helpful in fairness.

Everything was very positive. We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and never been disappointed.
