A fantastic place to stay- very luxurious, perfect location, lovely staff and incredible food in the restaurant. Would really recommend it!
Staff and Hotel location.
Very small Room. Very drafty. Bedroom very cold.
Friendly and helpful staff. Large and attractive rooms
Rooms too cold and noisy
Everything was fantastic most of all the olde world atmosphere
everything just what we wanted
apparently my partner thinks the mirrors and lighting were not that good but thats about all
Location and the breakfast
Sink was in the bedroom and no bath
Atmosphere. Welcome. Quality food. Great selection of drinks. Cosy seating and dining area. Free morning tea and toast in bed! Feature furniture/décor. REALLY comfy bed. Location. Manager listening to and accepting feedback.
Staff were friendly but could have given more. Disappointed in dessert choices but personal taste.
Layout and room very good . Bathroom was big with shower and bath . Food very good .
Heating in bedroom not adequate , and lighting in bathroom very poor . Slightly overpriced for the double deluxe room Didn't seem to have enough staff in the bar area
Everything after upgrading to larger room.
Ground floor double room. So upgraded.
Decor of room & pub was nice. Enjoyed the open fires.
Size of bedroom was very small & we couldn't even use the basin in the bathroom because it was soo small! Wasn't worth the £200 a night!!
The location. The rooms. Ambience. Breakfasts to choose, not the norm at all, the interiors. Lovely friendly staff. Really pretty village.
I'm allergic to feathers, the duvet and pillows are feathered.I didn't say as I fell in love with the room.. I didn't know there was free wifi& I couldn't get the coffee machine to work in the room..I should have asked maybe.. Cleaners had blocked the stairs to the rooms with their gear..on check out day; 11 am which was great..so I just stepped over the mess. Not many channels to choose from on the tv. As a single traveller I'd like a better selection of movies to choose from. I'm picking now..the sink in the bathroom was way too small I had to brush my teeth side on as not to bang my head on the glass shelf above.
Breakfast and dinner were excellent
Standard room very small
Cosy room, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, superb food both in the more formal restaurant in the evening and at breakfast. Everything you could want for a night away in the Cotswolds! Would definitely recommend and return.
To be super critical.. The room was a tad on the small side, but it is an old building, so for me it all adds to the charm!
The friendly & helpful staff The atmosphere, setting & the décor
parking could be difficult
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at The Porch House. It is an exceptionally stylish, friendly and excellently maintained haven perfectly situated in the hear of the Cotswolds!
the style of the room, the lovely comfortable bed, the friendliness of the staff and the excellent breakfast.
parking by the Porch House was virtually impossible (although there's lots of street parking within 5 minutes' walk), the shower could have been slightly warmer and the sink was so mini it was impossible to stand over it! Overall we felt the accommodation was somewhat overpriced for the room size and facilities.
The atmosphere of the pub. The friendly staff. Excellent evening meal and breakfast.
The tiny sink in our bathroom, impossible to wash without spilling water or banging head on the glass shelf!
Friendly helpful staff, very comfortable room lovely bed, great location, great for dogs
lack of storage space for clothes. Unable for my wife to do make up and hair due to poor lighting in bathroom
Quaint pub with lovely room. Good breakfast
Dogs in the bar. Food on New Years eve. Little choice and VERY poor vegetarian food. It would have been better to have served good wholesome food. It was second rate fine dining. Our menu did not have the beef Wellington option wheras others were eating it. When the waitress mentioned this to senior staff it went unheeded. Utter waste of money
The porch house is a beautiful place to stay- excellent staff, quirky rooms and a stunning location- look forward to coming back!
The rooms were very warm!
Breakfast and dinner.good staff, helpful house staff.
Lack of coat hooks in bedroom. Pillowcases not right size.
Breakfast was really good. Good selection. The room was nicely decorated and good location.
The hotel was very good but I thought it was overpriced at £130. Unfortunately our room was in the outhouse near the front door so unfortunately it was really noisey with other guests leaving in the morning. Note to other guests parking is listed as a feature but they are only temporary spaces. However all other hotels in the area look to suffer from the same issue
Food wasn't cooked properly and over priced
Open fires. Cosy atmosphere. Excellent breakfast included. Friendly staff.
You had to ask for wifi password. Small bottle of water not large for twin room. Drafty windows. But luckily good radiator to compensate.
Everything was perfect. Dinner was delicious and breakfast equally lovely. Will definitely stay here again.
There was nothing not to like.
