-Amazing staff! All smiles and very friendly (except for one that had attitude; you know who you are!) -They offered city maps when checking in. -Speedy check-in. -Liked the iPod dock station/radio in room. -Daily newspaper. -Cozy feel to the hotel; it feels like home. Let's start with the super heavy front door! There should be someone to open that door or install an automatic one! I have an arm injury and found it difficult to open it by myself. I requested a quiet room when I booked and got a room on the second floor #129. very noisy I could hear peoples steps upstairs! Even ear-plugs couldn't help. Whats ironic is that I got a call from reception to turn down the telly volume coz next door were complaining its too loud! It wasn't! Maybe your wall are too cheap and thin and guest are not allowed to watch tv after 10 pm? The sink has 2 handles (hot&cold) which is not practical at all! The fridge wasn't cooling, turns out it wasn't plugged in the first place! I plugged it in and 12 hrs later still not cooling! I - Shower drain was clogged not draining, which defeats the purpose of showering! Disgusting ;x -Noisy air conditioning vent! and it wasn't cold enough. - they didn't clean my room one time, although I had the sign on, and the next day they did but didn't replace the bed sheets! I spelled tea on it the night before and there was a big stain in the middle! - No complimentary water or kettle in room. - There was a mistake in my invoice, but they corrected it. - Asked to check out at 2 PM, but they said they were fully booked. Checked online and plenty of rooms were available, and when checking out I heard a member of staff saying that room #x were checking out at 2! Didn't appreciate that at all. - Will I be staying there again? IF and only IF ALL the paddington area hotels were fully booked and I was guaranteed a room on the fifth floor. It was my 1st and probably my last time there.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. I was on a business trip and needed a good quality hotel close to Paddington station, as I needed to get to Heathrow conveniently, in addition to getting to the centre quickly. The hotel staff was nice and friendly, and cleared up a mistake in the booking elegantly. The room itself was even more than I expected (and I usually have high expectations), as they upgraded me. A nice surprise! I knew in advance that breakfast wasn't included, but the reason for it stroke me there. They don't have a restaurant/café in the hotel, so dining tables are limited in number. Usually I like to have a good (I.E. big) breakfast in the hotel, so this may be a drawback for some travellers. However, there are nice cafés nearby where you can have breakfast, or get takeaway coffee.

Very comfortable, spotless and quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Good location for Hyde Park and Lancaster gate tube. Basement room with small window looking onto a small back yard and the kitchen. No restaurant at all; all meals served in the room. No tea or coffee making facility in the room.

Classy hotel at good location very close to Paddington station. Very friendly staff. Nice lobby rooms that could also be used for receiving business visitors of hotel guests. Free wireless Internet. My double room was adequate for single occupancy, but would have been cramped for two people. I was offered free welcome tea, which had become coffee when it was delivered to my room, and the pot of coffee was not removed during my stay. No restaurant or bar facilities.

A very attentive, personable, classic English service hotel. Small, boutique sized, but practical room. Excellent shower (what a difference that makes), bright, clean and well presented.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. We only stayed for one night but would love to have stayed longer. The decor was beautiful and our room was extremely cosy next time we would like to experience a different room. Food was great. The shower was cold the whole time we stayed and water running down the bathroom wall from upstairs and the room was quite small.

The intimate feeling of the hotel. Very friendly staff and it almost felt as homecoming. Beautifully decorated hotel and rooms. Very comfy bed! Good location close to Hyde Park. That there is no tea/coffee making facility in the room. Or just a small bottle of water. Minor detail but it would have make my stay complete!

Our first stay and we were very impressed by this hotel. A good location, helpful, friendly and polite staff, all of whom seemed to love their jobs and wanted to please. Very nice quiet room, [at the rear] with very comfortable bed with lovely crisp sheets and nice pillows. Excellent clean bathroom with bath and shower, and good quality toiletries.. Very impressed by the secure luggage room where you can leave your tagged luggage when you have checked out but still have things to do a very enjoyable stay, will definitely stay again and recommend to my friends. The rate you offered was unbeatable for a hotel of that quality.

We chose this hotel as it is near to Paddington Station (where the Heathrow Connect stops) and Lancaster Gate Station. Our executive room, although is small, is comfortable and clean. The staff are helpful and friendly making our stay pleasant and enjoyable. During our recent holidays in uk, we made three stays in this hotel and each time we return to London, we feel that we are going home away from home. We wish that there is tea-making facility in the room.

Well located, close to bus and tube station, quiet area but still close to everything, friendly staff and nice rooms. I didn't have an iron and iron board not tea set but everything could be organised. Didn't use the breakfast. Regular price is rather high.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It is also excellent value for money The only thing I did not like was the selection of television channels available. As a person travelling from another country I like to be able to access a wide selection of international news, sports, documentaries.

Excellent. Clean, well appointed, great location, friendly service. I'll be back! Only a very minor grumble: no tea making facilities in room. They did however provide complimentary hot drinks on arrival.

We booked the Royal Park for its highly competitive price and location, but wound up loving it for the little touches. The decor was exceptional; the room was cozy without feeling cramped; and the hotel staff were just great. A charming hotel in London's upscale Hyde Park area at an attractive price? Yeah. What's not to love? Only two things could make the Royal Park better: a breakfast room (rather than room-service-breakfast) and...uhh...an iron in the room. Had lots of fun wrinkled, but it just seemed like an odd oversight.

“The Mornington included a breakfast in the price of the room. The breakfast was very nice indeed and really set us up for the day. If we had been paying for a breakfast separately I'm sure it would have been £10 or £15 each per day. Also the hotel was situated very close to the Lancaster Gate tube station and we were also able to walk across Hyde Park to get to Harrods etc.” Jeff, Newtownards |
