I booked savoy for few days rest it is dated but can see they are trying to upgrade it there was buckets at bottom of stairs im assuming it was a radiator that was leaking as gas board were theyre and soon the buckets were removed could happen to anyone bathroom has been updated just needs some tlc in main living area and windows need cleaned breakfast was a plenty fresh fruit cereal and fry up was a plenty and hot all tea coffee milk an various fruit juice available all included in price
Just the room need bit tlc but didnt go their to look at decor and it was clean and housemaid does best they can its not smelly just old fashioned
The fact it has on site parking, as my husband is partially disabled
Vinegar Flies in my wine it was only after the second compliant did the barman open a new bottle
meals were fantastic ,
gave us a room with a strong smell of smoke even though we did not request a smoking room, put us in another room that had no view window had another secured partition with frosted glass making it impossible to see out, shower had very little pressure making it hard to take a shower.will not come back here again.
the breakfast, and leaving to go home
Reception dull and dirty - buckets on stairs and in lobby collecting drips. Rooms need renovating badly. Had drink in bar asked for nuts - none. Asked for plain crisp, none. Asked for cheese and onion - none. Only had 2 packets of salt and vinegar !! Would not go there again !
Location lovely rooms if they were clean
In need of a renovation. This hotel could be wonderful with the right investment, unfortunately its decor and furnishing are borderline acceptable.
Room not made up
Beautifully building lovely rooms and breakfast was nice
Asked for none smoking room and was given a smoking room the child's bed was just a camp bed and at 7.30 am we was woken by water coming through the ceiling
Food was fair.
It wasn't clean at all infact I would be supprised if they have ever hovered the carpets.
Dirty, bought a see view room but didn't get one.
Option to keep room on For extra 2 hours
Room was a bit dated
Only 1 towel for a double room but of a joke
Good Breakfast & having a Tram stop across the road
The Bathroom door would not close & the Shower did not work The room was not prepared in any way when we entered, it was very messy.
enjoyable stay at the Savoy, Family room was massive and comfy, good location for beach and tram stop outside door. we will be back.
would have prefered a sea veiw or a spa bath but to be fair we did not ask for either.
Not quite as the photo shows. Paint work was flaking, carpet in room had some stains and water was warm, not hot. Otherwise excellent. The breakfast experience was much better than the Premier Inns I normally use.
Comfortable room and bed and bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower.Decor of room was straight out of Poirots tv show.Hotel is a bit knackered but friendly staff and good food made up for its short comings.
A fading star of a hotel, like most in the Brittania chain we have stayed in,Aberdeen,Norbreck and Grand Bustin.
Hotel was nice
Location too far from centre need to get taxi really to tower
Having to queue for the breakfast which was tasteless, and on the 3rd morning there wasnt any butter for the toast, they only had sun flower spread, and the bathroom needed a coat of paint.
The location and accessibility was perfect. Off street parking around the hotel was a fantastic bonus and we didn't have any concerns about the safety of our car during the time we were there. Breakfast environment, staff and choice was excellent. Staff were very helpful.
Despite arriving and booking in our room in advance we were given a smoking room. We only found this out when we got to our room. Despite being moved at our request we were astounded that staff would automatically assume we wanted to say in a smoking room. Also why is the smokers rooms on the middle floor. Isn't this a health hazard to all?
the room was smelly cigarette smell, tv was dated, windows frosted and a view of pipes when opened. lift was manky and bottom of staircase had tin cans at the bottom catching leaking water. I have stayed in many hotels and this is by far the worst hotel I have seen, would not recommend it to anybody.
Nice enjoyable breakfast
plant room noise, all floorboards creaking, toilet leaking, windows looked like they had never been cleaned for years.
Smoking is allowed on first 2 floors bedrooms and although there is a no smoking policy on the third floor the room we were given with a 6 week old baby was smokey and absolutely stank of stale smoke we did complain and we were allocated another room but the hotel is in need of urgent decoration you should also be aware that pets are allowed in this hotel and there was no shortage of dogs also staying at the hotel.
Room too small Leak at reception Lift too small No WIFI in bedrooms, just in reception area.
