Despite all the reviews i had seen the place was lovely .Its out of the way and in a relaxing area. The bus stop and tram stop is directly outside which was a bonus. The facilities are ok.
Good value for money
Would have liked an opening bedroom window also one of the two bedroom chairs needed recovering
Room size and comfortable beds.
Fire alarms going off during the night. My son had a sickness bug. At 4am we needed cleaning equipment for the bathroom floor. My husband went down to the reception and they gave him a mop! No bucket and no cleaning products. Next day asked for the room to be thoroughly cleaned to get rid of smells and germs, cleaners used a damp towel to clean the bathroom! On leaving I told reception that it would need deep cleaning before it was used again. Definitely feel sorry for people using room after us after seeing poor cleaning standards.
Bar area could have been bigger, unable to get a seat some times.Food was good.Good value for money.Tram and bus stops outside.I would go again.
The room was small to have a childs bed in it and a double bed.
Everything. Food was shocking the hotel was so run down. Needs millions spending on it. And it wasn't cheap. Very disappointed
twin room was a good size, Clean, Warm, Bed was comfy, Lift (very handy) Food Excellent, We enjoyed our stay at the Savoy. ( Great Value For The Money we Paid, Would Go Again) Thank You.
Had To Park Car In The Street ? But it Was FREE,( so not that bad.?)
The entertainment was brilliant and the hotel overall was brilliant and the room was very comfortable.
I can't fault a thing really cause was extremely happy with everything
Everything really. Good for the money.
Not being able to access WiFi in rooms. Minor drawback.
The hotel has no concept of health and safety. It has no concept of customer service especially as my wife was threatened by a male receptionist. It illegally silences the fire alarm system. The illegally allow windows to open fully, against health and safety guidance. The have open electrical hazards all over the corridors there is scaffolding outside that is accessible and unguarded. The building was falling apart with no consideration for guests and guests are allowed to smoke in the bedrooms which is now illegal although I was told that its ok as a hotel is a private residence. A family of 4 being put in a single room with a double bed put into it plus 2 zbeds completely illegal and fire hazard. Unlockable doors, underwear left in drawers from previous guests. Disgusting! !!!
The barman was very hard working and pleasant.
The hotel needed updating and decorating. The hot water was dangerously hot and unpredictable, unable to use shower. The manager and some staff were very unhelpful.
The staff did their best and the food was ok.
The fabric of this Hotel is tired to say the least. The windows were filthy. The double room had only one chair and the television came from the Arc. The Bathroom was understocked and when we emptied the sink all the waste came back through the Bath plug with all sorts of flotsam and jettsom mixed in. Paper was peeling off the walls in all the public rooms and the restaurant was full of dust and the carpet was sticky. A visit from the Hotel inspector is urgently needed and a visit to the nearby Cliffs Hotel would provide your management team with plenty of food for thought.
Rooms very poor bathroom horrible rooms very dated
Handy for the town centre.Very warm in the Hotel. Friendly staff
Bit too warm in the Hotel, got told because a lot of pensioners stay there.
The hotel needs complete renovation from top to bottom the hotel chain needs to spend a lot of money or sell it to u can
the receptionist that didnt back an eye lid when we asked for a total refund....total time in hotel 10 mins
our room seemed to be in the attic.and on entering the room ( box room) i noticed the bed sheets yuk they were the dirtiest shade of grey i have came across the curtains were hanging of the window, the bucket was full and the carpet looked like it hadnt seen a hoover since it was laid....needless to say we didnt hang around
The food was good, entertainment ok for older people .
Booked two rooms which were on different floors, booked a twin and a double got two doubles and a fold up bed not what I asked for. I was not informed of tho when I arrived either, the one double was like a sauna with a small window you couldn't open which made my asthma come on .
The room was clean, lovely and warm with a decent shower and a smoking room too which was requested.Free car parking, pleasant enough staff and generally a clean interior to the hotel. Great location in the quieter end of Blackpool with trams stopping outside.
The breakfast was absolutely awful. I am used to Britannia hotels and the breakfast can be grim sometimes but this visit it was a totally waste of going down to the breakfast room....the bacon was complete blobs of fat thrown in a deep metal dish and a very cheap cut,the sausages were inedible as was the black pudding, fried bread, eggs like bullets and the soggiest toast ever ,I had one toast and a hard fried egg for brekky...even the beans were awful. The evening menu looked good and to be fair at the Savoy it is normally quite nice and good value but we ate out this visit as we were meeting relatives for Dinner. The breakfast was its only letdown to be fair and I may just go room only in future or pay b and b and eat a brekky elsewhere.
The hotel was extremely hot
close to blackpool
first room we had was terrible could not open window and bathroom was not very clean plus the hotel could do with an revamp for the money i paid.
The price was excellent, convenient, the. Staff friendly and very pleasant, clean, food was great, will be staying again now we know we can bring our dog
Nothing we were very pleased
Room far too hot and unable to open windows. Small dead black bugs on bed linen.Offered another room which was even hotter and toilet coming away from wall. Very disappointed. They have let their standards slip very badly. We walked out and stayed elsewhere.
poor old bed nearly had to sleep in the attic old hotel in poor state
Bed uncomfortable. Windows filthy could not see through them.bathroom window not lockable. Pillow and quilt pointless as quilt too small and pillow as flat as anything. Only 1 spare in the cupboard for two people. Heating loud all night and banged every half hour: so very poor night sleep,
Hotel was near to centre, so was able to leave car and walk. Facilities in room useful.
Not enough selection for cereal. Not enough car park spaces, had to park on side.
