This central 4-star hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Stratford-Upon-Avon Train Station.
Score from 895 reviews Very good
In a great central location, this Grade II heritage-listed Georgian hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the main street and historic Shakespearean attractions. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas.
Score from 1130 reviews Very good
Overlooking the RSC Theater, this 17th-century riverside hotel has parking and a bar. The center of town is a 5-minute walk away, and the train station is a 15-minute walk from the building.
Score from 514 reviews Very good
In beautiful landscaped grounds, this 4-star Holiday Inn is in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon, just over a quarter mile from The RSC Theatre.
Score from 1036 reviews Very good
The hotel was only 10 minutes away from the main theatre so I felt safe to go alone after dark. It is in the middle of all the town's tourist attractions and shops. The hotel was quiet, warm and comfortable.
The hotel looks great and fits in well with the Tudor style buildings in Stratford. It is in a very good location to explore the town and see the tourist attractions.
The rooms were quite basic and the hotel car park was hard to find.
Location brilliant. Room service breakfast excellent.good choice and very punctual.
Parking was a nightmare. Car park was full and alternative also full. Didn't want all that messing around on arrival. Had junior suite, room was great but very small bath. Shower kept changing from hot to cold, not a pleasant experience.
everything. lovely old hotel, the staff couldt have been more helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect
Location was brilliant for both shops and theatre Lovely old building
Reception unmanned half the time Phones not answered Mini bar with nothing in it - not even water White towels were grey Bar closed promptly at 11 and no-one around to look after residents afterwards
Location - in the centre of town, close to the RSC, the sights and places to eat.
Great location, beautiful building and nice staff. Only 2 mins walk from the RSC and city centre.
I didn't like the sheets they used for the beds. They had holes in to make them easier to put on but it made me question the cleanliness of the duvet underneath.
Great central location yet very quiet. Helpful reception and restaurant staff. Large room with comfy bed. Very good value. Lovely to stay in a hotel that oozes atmosphere and charm. Would not hesitate to stay again.
Dining room, breakfast
Location perfect, hotel beautiful and cosy with old world charm, room lovely
There was nothink ti complain about at all
The staff were polite, professional and friendly. The hotel room was spacious and quiet. Other than the parking the room and breakfast were very good value for money.
The parking was very limited and seemed expensive compared to other hotels in the area. The hotel is literally right in the centre so perhaps that's why it's double the cost of the last hotel we stayed in.
Character of the hotel with lovely big themed rooms. Breakfast was fantastic with everything you needed available.
We came back on the Sunday night at 10.15 to find the bar closed which we found a little bit poor. Also when we arrived on the Saturday at 2.30pm we couldn't get checked in as the room wasn't ready due to previous occupants checking out late. We finally got checked in at 5 which we wasn't happy about.
The room was beautiful, we upgraded last minute to a Junior Suite which made our stay feel so luxurious. The bed was humongous and so comfortable! Loved it.
Lovely old room, with wonky walls and floors :)
The bar closed at 9 for maintenance reasons which was a little annoying, but it seemed like a one-off.
The room was comfortable and spacious, the location was ideal, and the centuries-old building had loads of character.
This is very minor, but the milk in the small uht containers was sour.
Proximity to shops and theatre. Lovely bathroom with white fluffy towels. Rooms named after characters in Shakespeare's plays. Real fires in seating areas.
Had to pay for parking; breakfast not included and a very small bedroom with hardly room to move either side of the bed. Not very insulated against noise of other guests on same floor.
Bed was a little small!
Friendly staff , great location
Evening menu could be a lot better.Had to eat out.
Proximity to theatre and shops. Open fire in bar area for post theatre drinks and comfortable room.
Staff at breakfast seemed very harassed. Felt sorry for them! Thought it would have helped staff and guests hugely if tea and coffee was self service...maybe toast too.
Absolutely fantastic mini-break. Ideal central location and lovely hotel room!
When we opened one of the bottles of orange juice in our mini fridge it had mould in
Breakfast was both confussed, rushed and the head waiter seemed unable to attend quickly enough and by that missmanaged his own staff. waiting staff should not be used to keep the hot plates reblemished, the hot plate keeper should be at the start of the food isle. the 2 person tables are not big enough and it took far too long to receive the tea and toast and even then the coffeee came as hot water. The bar closed at 11pm and thereafter it appeared to hinder the night staff to continuing to serve so we left the hotel to find a later bar having only booked in at 10pm. The hotel just did not feel adaptable and or welcoming given that I travel a grewat deal I was disapointed as this was my home town and I was showing my boss for the USA around Stratford upon Avon.
The location was great, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful.
The service at breakfast was a little chaotic and slow. Someone had mixed up the table numbers on a very busy morning!
To sum up this hotel I would say that by watching Fawlty Towers you guys make bloody hard work of it. Had a complaint about the airconditioning in room 324 that it didn't work properly tried changing the temperature down but it wouldn't budge. A Spanish looking porter came to look at the room and offered us a fan which didn't cool the room down. 77 pounds it cost us to find that the window never opened properely. So no ventilation there I would like you to tell me what your going to do about this and it better be good your charging silly prices for a nights stay. I will be contacting trading services to tell them how shoddy this place is run the staff are rude and tell shameless lies.
Help from staff with a troublesome sat nav...the personal touch will always triumph over technology
The bedroom was cold because the radiator was covered by floor length curtains. The bathroom was also a bit too chilly given the cold weather at the time of my visit.
