建物はクラシックで雰囲気が良かったです

食事の注文で、こちらの要望がきちんと聞かれないで、多く請求が来て抗議したので、いいぶんは聞き入れられ- ましたが感じが悪かった。部屋の電気のことなどで教えて欲しいとフロントに電話したのに無視され来てくれな- かった。車で来ているのを知っているのに、出車の際の暗証番号など一切教えてくれず、慌てました。建物は良- いのに、スタッフがバラバラで全く連携が悪く、対応が悪いので、せっかくの伝統のあるホテルなのにもったい- ない気がした。

歴史を感じる古い建物に現代的機能がついて快適。部屋に冷蔵庫があるのは嬉しい。

部屋でWi-Fiが使えれば便利でした。

Character of the hotel, many of the staff friendly

Parking - Needed to stop outstand with hazard lights on and drop off luggage. My father, who is 82, then had trouble getting help taking the bags to the room. Rooms were very hot and no facility to cool them. Bed was very soft and uncomfortable. Considerable amount of dust, which triggered alergies. No free internet in room, which meant sitting in the bar on Saturday night Breakfast - generally good, but waitress did not provide milk for the tea,. Overall visit was well below expectations

It was in a very convenient location

Our room in the annexe was bad. We discovered at bedtime that one of the curtains was broken and we had to try and drape it over a chair but still got too much light in. The room was not very clean. The upholstery was worn off the chair. The bathroom was very bleak.The kettle wasn't clean. It was very noisy. We tried to rest in the afternoon and staff were shouting and cleaning floors with a power water spray which made a hugh racket. Noisy deliveries began at 7 a.m. It was a lousy way to celebrate my husband's birthday and we won't eb staying at a Mercure hotel again.

Location was good and ambience of outside was good.

We had a room that was not up to par. It did have a king size bed which we requested but bore no resemblance to an antique room with four poster bed etc. - holes in carpet - very sparse and furniture looked dirty - claustrophobic and had a mildewy smell. Wouldn't return.

Staff were attentive and friendly at evening meal. food was good

price was high for additionals such as parking and breaksfast. lack of services asuch as emergecny toiletries and internet connections in rooms.

Location Very comfortable bed

Cold cooked breakfast (from buffet) Staff surving breakfast were efficient but never smiled or made you feel welcome. Although some fires were lit in foyer/ bar area the heating was inadequate. Room needed repainting and a deep clean (although superficially is appeared clean). Creaking floorboads (ok if you like character but gets on your nerves after a while).

A beautiful hotel at in the middle of Stratford with a cosy individual atmosphere. Location could not be better. Nice to stay somewhere that did not feel bog standard I.e Holiday Inn, all the same wherever you go.

Our bedroom was too hot for comfort - otherwise everything was great

The flashing light on the air conditioning unit. I did enquire how to switch this off but it didnot go off. I suffer with migraine so had to cover the light with paper to stopbeing able to see the flashing.

Near the Theatre and shops. A very good room; traffic noise not a problem despite overlooking the street. Friendly staff.

Ongoing refurbishment. Lucky to get a car park space despite promise there was no need to book. Booking on line did not allow for a choice to have bed and breakfast, just bed; lucky to be there when a reasonable offer of £10 for breakfast was available.

The building was beautiful and the location was central to the town.

Many of the rooms were not ready at 2pm as promised, one couple even got moved to a different hotel. While we had waited about 40 minutes for our room,eventually we were offered a hot drink, which we thought was nice, only to be later presented with a bill for £5.95 for two hot drinks! I suppose that's one way of making money, make sure the room is not ready so that people have to spend money in the bar and restaurant. So I got to use my room for one less hour than i'd paid for and I had spent another £6 while having to wait. Some of the staff don't speak good english and when we went to get breakfast in the morning she looked confused as I wasn't given the option of booking breakfast with the room originally, and I explained I wanted to pay for breakfast as extra for me and my husband, which she eventually understood.

The fact they gave us an upgrade a it was our wedding annviversary!
