Friendly staff nice atmosphere
Everything...Simple as that.
There was absolutely nothing l did not dislike. Everything was superb from the room l stayed in, to the excellent choice of beers at the bar downstairs.
Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room.
Difficult to find.
The staff all very friendly & helpful. The restaurant food was very good. Breakfast was delicious. Nice comfortable room. Would stay here again.
Nothing negative to say at all.
Location, easy parking, breakfast was ample and good. Staff helpful and friendly.
Not being to get wifi !!
Good location and room.Excellent breakfasts, evening menu ok.
Breakfast and bath and shower
Nice hotel and good facilities BUT marred by poor service from staff.
No reply to email sent the day before. Unable to contact hotel by phone on morning of check in. Phoned at least 7 times in the space of an hour but no answer. Wasn't told at check-in that the restaurant was closing earlier than normal - lucky I still had time for a meal but could have missed out eating if I'd been later. Staff told about above points - expected a better response than I got. The above shows a rather cavalier attitude to guests which will affect any decision on my part to choose this hotel in the future
Character, room, location and pleasant staff..
Breakfast service a bit slow, perhaps Monday and eight of us ordering at the same time ? But when it arrived it was good !
The comfort of the bed left a lot to be desired.
Location , shop ( co-op ) & takeaway next door . Food available in pub . Decor in restaurant . Buses every 10 minutes, from mall to Rochester . Nice walk round St. Mary's Island . Parking. Friendly staff .
- room - breakfast - pub/restaurant facilities
Food was good; location good
The bed was rock hard. The room was scruffy: paint peeling off bathroom ceiling, scuffed walls, filth windows (not quite the 4* English Tourist Board standard that they state). The noise level outside of people waiting for taxis when the bar closed was extreme.
Only drawback was no town map.
Well placed adjacent to old docks. Within walking distance of the old Royal Navy Sip Yards - a really superb attraction. Rooms are spacious and imaginatively fitted out. Restaurant is quieter than g.f. pub which is v. busy at weekends. Staff courteous and attentive.
We had a quieter room to the rear but compressor noise from coolers was a little intrusive. If you have a choice, try to distance yourself to either end. Otherwise, a really agreeable spot.
Very good pub within the hotel
Super location, free parking, comfortable clean bed & bedroom, great view over the harbour and river. Staff very pleasant and helpful, service very good.
Bathroom floor grubby, walls needed painting. Breakfast and dinner plentiful but very average.
Different hotel in nice setting Do with breakfast being earlier.
The upstairs restaurant was excellent. Quick and pleasant service. Excellent table with good view. Very few people. Same menu and beers as in the bar which was crowded, noisy and you had to wait 15 minutes to get served. Breakfasts were good
The bar area. The fire alamrm (false alarm) in the middle of the night
good location, overlooking the river. Close to indoor shops, restaurants and cinema. a short walk to the historic dockyards.
bathroom needed modernising, Car park was busy with people using co-op next door, although quiet at night. Drinks expensive, my husband paid nearly £5 for a pint of real ale that was flat!
Bar and waiting staff very helpful, location for our visit to Dickens World was perfect.evening meal was very good.
Hardly had any sleep due to bed and pillows and a humming noise.girl who checked us in hardly spoke apart from asking for our details.
A wonderful conversion of this historic building. Great bar and outside seating area. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything worked.
Location to the Historic Dockyard , Dickens World , Shopping Centre and Places to eat. Free Car Park Daily top up of beverages etc. Easy to find Size of room Staff
Bar/Restaurant very popular so not easy to find a table, one night we couldn't find a table, no problem as there are several local places to eat. Room did smell a little of sewerage, however being close to a River I think this is to be expected. Very old double glazing ? security risk. Access from Reception to Room was unchecked most of the time. No safety deposit box. Four night stay and the sheets were not changed at any point.
