Staff all welcoming and spa treatments excellent
Noise from workman in room above mine both days of stay..could hear in afternoons esp bare floorboards and moving things around Room therefore could have been reallocated
Breckfast cost £13.95 each
Being promised a room that we could check in early then not available. Being told upgrade then not given it. Room to hot
Best breakfast I've had in years, bit pricey tho.
The total experience - the ambiance of the hotel, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff...... everything was so easy! ..... and the spa treatments were a wonderful addition.
The gym equipment didn't appear to have been maintained terribly well.
We attended a wedding and found our stay was excellent. The rooms was very comfortable, the food was lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at the spar hotel again.
Our only complain was we did find the drinks and the food was expensive.
Very clean, lovely building, great helpful staff. Good experience throughout.
Didn't stay longer
The room was very comfortable and clean. The spa area although small was clean and bright.
the air conditioning in the room didn't work along with a few of the side lamps. the food in the brasserie was not good value for money.
Good food and excellent staff. Would stay there again.
Very friendly staff. Cleanliness of the hotel and rooms.
Food choice for Valentines dinner was not that good, although we enjoyed the evening.
Room, bed, noise, bath robes and the milk was off
Loved the room and the view. Staff were very pleasant.
That couples could not use the spa together. Maybe you should have a couples day.
The whole experience was top notch , I will certainly be going back there again soon !
Quiet, comfortable, and clean. I had a standard room which was of good quality. Bathroom excellent. Breakfast was expensive, as all I required was a light snack as I had a long journey.
We had a room overlooking the gardens which was quiet and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful making us very welcome. The decor was fresh and elegant, all helping make a very relaxing stay
Breakfast was adequate not exceptional and rather chaotically served.
Restaurant was very good with good service and excellent food.
We were asked if had actually booked a twin room when we checked in! The staff here obviously think we are living in the 1950s. They wouldn't dare say that to a man and a woman!
Stunning rooms and surrounding areas. We didn't get a chance to look around the grounds and enjoy any treatments this time but very much enjoyed the rest of hotel. Decor is elegant, welcoming and it was lovely and quiet. The bed was extremely comfy and we didn't want to leave.
There was nothing we disliked.
Good comfortable stay
The food was bland and the spirit price was boardering on rediculous
Residents bar uncomfortable and not welcoming
Location is very nice
Spa facilities were not very comfortable
Couldn't get Wifi
The pool is tiny and despite notices saying no jumping kids were jumping in all yhe time I was in there
Staff View from rear of hotel Wifi Breakfast
Tired communal areas Tired bedrooms
We liked our room. It was clean and guests are well provided for, extra milk pots were sent quickly without question
The breakfast was barely edible The scrambled egg was grey, all my table mentioned this. The rest of the food was luke warm and poorly cooked. Service was good until they got busy then the staff could not cope.
We got an upgrade when I saw that our original room overlooked a busy roundabout. Much happier with the quieter room at the back with a king size bed.
Pool area was small. Wanted to complain about noisy family above us at 10.20 pm but our phone didn't work. Our complimentary robes were ridiculously small so we had to get dressed and go down to reception. The charge for one of our two nights accommodation was taken off which was a gesture at least. Food was excellent but just didn't feel that overall it was the 4 star treatment. Huge place and a bit corporate. Only go if you get a really good rate.
staff was earnest and helpful but were not able to follow through on advance requests
late openings for breakfast (0700) and exercise room (0630) were difficult to work around given commute times
