Location was ok to get to the Pantiles, staff extremely proactive and helpfull. Spa is dated and not very clean, do not book there if you want a spa relaxing week end. Room clean and bed comfortable but very small and not sound proof meaning that it was quite noisy on the morning and you could clearly hear the neighbour having his shower at six o clock...uncool for a sunday morning...overall not very good value for money if you consider what you can get in kent for circa 200£ a night!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - from the moment of arrival ( especially as we were surprisingly upgraded - so a very special thank you )when even though the hotel was exceptionally busy with two large functions - we were welcomed and accommodated in an exceptional manner - nothing was too much trouble. Our room was so very spacious and the bed so comfortable We swam in the morning and enjoyed the spa facilities - again staff made us feel very welcome.Breakfast was served in the delightful dining room overlooking the gardens and was again first class - apart from the coffee which I did not enjoy but I am very fussy as regards coffee!!!! Coffee at breakfast

The room had no fridge which was annoying. The bathroom had been recently renovated using very strong smelling paint that was quite overpowering to the point of nauseating. The mattress was quite hard and the linen was not great rather cheap and rough. I wouldn't choose this hotel again although it was reasonably priced.

Really lovely hotel with great facilities. Room was quiet and very comfortable Over £13.00 for a breakfast, they do not give you the option of a continental breakfast at a cheaper rate. Bit expensive if you only want a piece of toast and a cup of tea.

It did what it it said on the tin! Clean room, good shower, excellent restuarant, good value. The decor and ambience is a tad dated so don't stay here if you want a trendy city centre stay!

The hotel has good gym facilities that open early enough at 6.30am for use by the business traveller. The hotel has good double glazing which meant that the room was very quiet. Bathroom was a good size and had a good shower above the bath. Good location as easy to walk into town. Breakfast was a bit chaotic as they lost my breakfast order and then lost my collegaue's so our poached eggs had to be followed up on numerous occasions which meant we were delayed in levaing the hotel that morning.

The standard of the furnicingsd in the room, particularly the bathroom was excellent. Also for an older hotel, the interior was of a high standrd and tastefully done. Woiuld have had breakfast there but we thought it was a bit over-priced,

The location was brilliant for our purpose of a business trip in Tunbridge Wells. The meet and greet was fantastic and everything we asked was explained clearly and well. Our room was also fantastic, spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was good but shower lacked power and tended to go hot, warm, hot etc. We thought the swimming pool area needs some TLC We felt the dinner was basic food over priced and so skipped breakfast @ £13.95 each Whilst the bathroom was clean and spacious the shower lacked power and went hot, warm, hot etc. Suggest pressure is investigated which is usually easily corrected

The ambiance of the hotel A good hotel. But services lacked with the use of not correctly trained staff. Eg the bar person did not not know about different gins. They also poured in all the mixer into the glass, drowning the spirit. Breakfast staff brought out cooked meal as we were just starting the buffet starters.

The hotel was smart and clean and the food at breakfast was lovely. Very unchild friendly. They were busy with four functions so we were directed away from the lounge bar for food and to the restaurant which was closed for another two minutes, but they wouldn't let us sit down and look at menu for those two minutes! Child menu very expensive and poor quality and not down sized portions that would be age appropriate. I was carrying a sleeping heavy 5 yr old into check in, could only just about hold a pen to sign the key card, reception staff said "we ask for payment on arrival please" I indicated the sleeping child impediment and said I was a bit stuck at the moment and she just stared blankly back at me.

Friendly, clean. I literally checked in and left for dinner appointment, returned and checked out the next morning. I certainly plan on staying again and experiencing more of the hotel.

Room and spa facilities excellent, as was the champagne bar The main dining area felt a bit dated and formal for a relaxed weekend but there is the champagne bar as a less formal option. The hotel also hosted a wedding which had live music until late and kept the corridors noisy with guests, otherwise a lovely hotel.

Quiet but convenient location. Comfortable lounge and very nice room with four poster bed and excellent bathroom. Very friendly helpful staff. Delicious food in both restaurant and bar. The breakfast was rather pricey when we only wanted a continental, but we got a bacon sandwich at the golf course.

Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff Had to move rooms due to very noisy pipes. Wifi in the rooms is not reliable. Could do with a fridge in rooms to enable cold drinks.
