Very large double rooms and bathroom.

The rooms, the views, the food, the closeness to the town and surrounding attractions.

The fact that we were not able to book spa treatments because it was all booked up. The car park, again difficult to find a space when functions were taking place. The busy main road which droned with traffic continuously. Our room was at the front of the hotel.

The welcoming of the staff, the politeness of all the hotel members. The room was very spacious, clean and excellent facilities for the price. We often visit our friend George Cohen and his wife who live in Tunbridge Wells and usually eat in the Spa Restaurant where Louis the head waiter is first class. All in all a wonderful hotel.

All satisfacotory saving item we didn't like. We have stayed here many times before.

Porter never came to take our bags from our room to the car on leaving although reception were asked twice and got through to porterage. My wife has a very bad back and couldn't carry anything and I, at 75, find it difficult to carry cases. We managed. Suggest you sack the porter who failed to respond and get someone interested in the job.

Plastic pillows - for a four star hotel I would expect feather, however understand the reasons for using them

The blend of old fashioned comfort with modern facilities. The excellent friendly,helpful service and well presented good food.

Very relaxing, lovely room, we liked swimming in the swimming pool and using the spa facilities, great location.

Conveniently located for my friends to pick me up..

Breakfast starts too late - should be 7:00AM, not 8:00AM

One of the bedrooms did not have double glazing and was chilly

Great hotel, good location

The rooms were excellent.

Given the size of the bedroom another chair would have been nice. If the hotel were to be judged solely on the toast at breakfast it would be found to be wanting. Flabby bread with some scorch marks!

EXCELLENT ROOM. Friendly and helpful staff

Very well presented, nothing tatty. Good sized room decorated and finished to a high standard. Staff more than helpful moving us due to first room being directly over function suite. Excellent relaxing child free weekend!

Couldn't bring ourselves to pay £13.95 per head for breakfast.

We booked a superior room, but it was so tiny couldn't get round the bed. Staff did nothing when we complained. Bed was like rock, didn't sleep well, wouldn't stay again.
