The fact it was in the centre of town and close to everything! The cooked breakfast was lovely and all included in the cheap and cheerful price!
It's like a time warp, very old and run down, it is in desperate need of a new makeover, obviously that reflects in the price, if it's somewhere just to put your head down for the night and not for luxury then it's the place for you!
Staff were friendly
Central location to city centre is perfect
Hotel is tired and could do with some upgrading
location ,parking , staff.
shower, general décor, lift.
It's a bit dated and tired
If only the room had been cleaned, used toothpick in bathroom along with half a bottle of used shower gel. Wet towels!!!! Tea and coffee maker still had used bottles of water next to it...don't even get me started on the floor and not wanting to take your shoes off...and I paid for this hell!!!
Staff were friendly keys security
Gave me and my partner a funny look- being a young couple Room was either too cold or too hot Hotel seriously needs an update or lower your prices. Premier inn, travelodge or the dolphin hotel are better!
Bar staff were very nice. Night porter was rude and arrogant
Night porter. How much trouble it was to get back in the hotel after going out
shower was above the toilet to use toilet you was standing in water . Bed was small no lamp by bed light switch by door could not see where bed was in dark , no parking had to park in street and make sure i left hotel prior to getting parking ticket at 8 am so rushed
It is very old fashioned, looks like it hasn't been decorated since the 1950s, but that's what I liked about it. It met the basic needs you expect in your stay at a hotel. The room was very clean and staff were very helpful and attentive.
TV signal kept cutting out, I was put in a very large room and only two out of the 5 lights in my room worked so it was quite dingy.
breakfast an d staff great
old musty and smelly
Like a barracks
Location and price
The hotel needs a complete refurb
Stayed over sunday night, so the hotel was reasonably quiet. Good breakfast. Its a plain value for money hotel, in a good location
Rooms need doing up a bit but the staff were lovely! Especially Chris! Haha
The staff were very welcoming and very helpful with any quiries that we had.the location off the hotel was near to everything we required.
When I arrived I was directed to a room that when I entered clearly hadn't been cleaned - unmade, slept-in bed, filthy bathroom and dirty towels all over both the bedroom and bathroom floor. When I went straight down to the reception the staff were very apologetic and put me in a different room. They also allowed me to leave my bags there for the day once I'd checked-out. Also the bed was comfortable and the TV worked.
When put in a new room due to the first being already occupied or just not cleaned after being occupied, the new room seemed to have just-cleaned-up-vomit on one area of the floor - the floor was wet and smelt of vomit. The corridors are very dated, and there were delivery lorries from 4am making it quite noisy. The shower was difficult to turn on/off and the temperature was very temperamental. There was no hairdryer available.
Breakfast was great. Night staff guy was very helpful and friendly.
Cleaners loud footsteps in room above woke me up early. Paying for & stressing over parking.
Able to leave the car at the hotel for 24 hours. Staff were helpful
Couldn't turn down the radiator
Very welcoming staff, excellent bar and great breakfast. Room very warm and cosy
Shower was very poor and no heating in bathroom!
I was a bit worried when I walked in, but the room was very comfortable.
Obviously needs some renovation.
lovely room newly decorated, clean staff were welcoming and very accommodating.
no hot water, and annoyed that parking had a charge plus wasn't alot of parking in the hotel car park
It was centrally located close to main shopping area They provided free WiFi It was relatively quiet
I would have liked the option of meals other than breakfast. I would have liked a chair in my room
This room has the toilet actually in the shower cubicle, which makes it all very unpleasant. Novel but awful. Also bed very uncomfortable
