IT was very convenient for the town and shops. Also not far from the cruise terminals.
To be honest the price compared to others we have stayed in Southampton.
Price/respect, friendliness and care of staff/ layout and decor of communal areas/ room with basin, tea and coffee and TV and ironing facilities/ security/breakfast was great!/central location.
I didn't feel comfortable to use bath as other guests may have needed toilets facilities......only a minor negative far outwaighed by it's wonderfulness
Everything was just fine.
Why not get rid of the peeling paint on the outside of the building. It looks just awful!
The pleasant atmosphere, the mid town location.
Altho it is impossible to improve over present location the car parking .
Pleaty of old coach house character, great little bar
Noisy guests Too bad there is now do not book list...like the airlines have ... e
I stayed at the star hotel for my sisters birthday for a night out on Southampton town, we were right by all the shops and only a 5minute taxi ride to oceana. I've never felt more welcome by all the collegues at the hotel, our room for 4 people was absolutely massive! It was clean and tidy, although I was hungover the breakfast even tasted out of this world, well worth the money!! Best hotel I've stayed in ☺️
the staff was friendly and could not be faulted. this is budget hotel, but could be improved.
the hotel needs updating outside and inside.lovely building outside, but with paint peeling off. One bed needs a new mattress (R.22) Telefon not working to reception. Hairdryer needed.the floors need attention.
