So helpful - the reception staff went out of their way to get rooms ready so our pa party could get ready for a wedding - lovely spacious rooms and food was delicious and reasonable

Golf courses Spa/Gym Friendly staff Good breakfast

We found out during our visit that we had overpaid for the room and beakfast and also the golf. There were special discounted rates associated with the Junior golf event our son played in that would have resulted in a subtantial reduction.

High standard of customer service. Lovely pool. High quality food

The rooms were lovely and spacious. The pool side facilities were very good, having the choice of the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna always had us thinking where to go next. We had a choice to eat in the bar or restaurant which was nice as would cater for almost anyone. Breakfast was very good and in a large room therefore you were not cramped at all. View from our room was over the golf course which was nice. Also you are able to pay a little extra for a late check out, which was well worth he money, as we had more time to enjoy the facilities.

Unfortunately being out in the countryside, signal was very very limited. My girlfriend would have liked a cocktail, however these were not available.

The staff were fantastic!

We originally booked a room that had a door to an adjoining room and found that we could hear everything that was being said in the room next door, which was very offputing! So we managed to arrange a move, only to discover that we had twin beds (bearing in mind we were on romantic break away from the kids!), but even more upsetting was that we were more or less next door to a wedding disco which went on to midnight!!

Excellent value for money. Staff very helpfull. Great leisure facilities.

no robes & slippers in room. no comlimentary toiletries. For a four star holtel I think these should be provided

the first room we were given the heating was not working .They gave us another room the table the tv was on was very worn on top.this was a supie rer room we had it was not up to standard.

Good size clean bedrooms, use of pool and spa facilities, reasonable priced meals in bar saved us from eating elsewhare, extremely friendly staff and prompt service. Pleasant setting.

Being just an overnighter we did not use the full facilities the hotel had to offer but the stay was comfortable.

There was nothing we didnt like, maybe anextra pillow on the bed would have been nice.

When we had our afternoon tea my wife commented on the excellent scones and asked if she could have the recipe; the charming waiter (I think he was called Tom - had glasses, dark hair) arranged to get the recipe. On the Sunday of our stay we needed an umbrella - a charming young gentleman at reception ( I believe he was foreign judging by his accent) arranged to borrow one from a member of staff as those he had were not in good condition - a kind and thoughtful effort on his part.

Our arrival was spoiled by a rather officious lady at check-in (called Jacquie I believe) who quite aggressively told us she could only check in one person at a time - she had mistaken our driver as being a guest checking in. She changed attitude when we explained but the "welcome" was somewhat chilling. Later, when we wanted to have afternoon tea we went to the bar and were asked if we had booked - we explained we were residents and also expressed surprise as there were clearly several tables tables available. Grudgingly the barman (not the nice fellow who got the recipe) did take our order - seems rather silly to behave this way with residents.

The general standard of facilities, and the location, were excellent. Staff were friendly (sometimes a little too much) and always helpful.

The stanadard of housekeeping in the rooms could bre improved: Sugar not replensihed. Empty tissue box left un-replaced

General standard of room maintenance and cleanliness disappointing, black floor tiles in bathroom highlighting casual use of floor mop. Attention to detail required if they want four star rating. Duvet cover showing signs of wear. Tv system strangely out of date for this style of hotel - didn't have access to widely available freeview, big issue during olympics!

Friendliness of staff , attention to detail I.e. remember your name and addressing you by it by your name at breakfast and other visits to resturant Nice touchs, a glass of champagne free when they found out it was our anniversary

Very large and quiet bedrooms, with huge beds meant a great nights sleep.

the staff were friendly & helpful. it was convienent to all the local ammenieties, yet it was set back in the countryside. ideal for a weekend break. excellent breakfast which was well cooked and hot.

the only thing that did let the hotel down was some of the paintwork on the doors and woodwork could do with freshening up.

Enjoyed stay and would use again if ever need to be in that area again.

Arrived at just gone 10pm and was disappointed to discover my only food options were a selection of 4-5 cold sandwiches. I would have expected better from this type of hotel.
