Character filled place with a great pub and good breaky. Difficult to climb stairs to room with luggage but that's part of the character I guess. The shower had apparently broken some time before we arrived and noone had bothered to fix it.... Just slack.

Friendly welcome - parking adjacent. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Lovely pub qith great community atmosphere. My husband and I were travelling with my parents en route to a family wedding - our room was small, though very clean and had a great bathroom with lots of lovely bubble baths and shampoos...our double bed was tiny which didn't make for the most comfy nights sleep and the extactor fan from the kitchen cranked up at 7 in the morning, which was a bit noisy - we wouldn't have known any different except my parents had a v large room just over the corridor with twin beds and easy chairs...both rooms at the same price, which didn't seem quite right. Food looked fab, but we hadn't booked a table and they were fully booked - so had to go and find food elsewhere which was disappointing -that was why we had chosen the Sun Inn - my fault...should have booked a table. Would definitely stay there again.

This is an excellent local inn catering for a wide range of tastes with comfort, convenience and enthusiasm. Our room was warm, welcoming and comforting after a day spent walking the Saxon Shore long distance path, and wonderfully quiet at night. The food was excellent with a varied manu, and all the staff were equally welcoming and helpful. We were sorry to leave and would have loved to stay longer - but will certainly be returning. Full marks all round amd many thanks.

Very oldy worldy, traditional, cosy, welcoming, very polite service, great choices for breakfast, newspapers provided, iron/hairdryer provided. toilettries in bathroom, tea/coffee facilities in room. comfortable beds, fleecy towels, good heating in room. Good restaurant. Good position for touring Kent. Carpet needed changing in bedroom, that's all, but would stay again.

The Sun is located conveniently in the centre of Faversham. It has lots of old world charm and a real "period" feel (the original pub building apparently dates back to the 14th century). We also liked the homely atmosphere in the bar. Our room was a good size with a spacious en-suite. The menu didn't seem to offer much variety and was a little pricey for those who just want a snack.

The Sun was a traditional, town centre inn with a lively Friday evening in the bar complete with a band - although none of this could be heard from our room. It has history, character and a committed staff. Will go again.

If you enjoy repetitive dance music at a ridiculous volume throughout the night then The Sun Inn will be right up your street! I woke at 12.40am to the loudest music from next door and proceeded to be kept awake until just after 4.00am. There was nobody in the building to help or to complain to so called the police who didn't do anything. Very tired and fed up when having to check out so early the next morning at 10.30am. As we checked out, the management didn't seem to phased by our unhappy stay either.

Centrally located, beautiful old pub. Very nice staff, eager to help. Room was a little cramped, and bed rather soft.

Very friendly helpful staff. Rooms were great for the price. No real luxuries, but we wanted to get away without kids somewhere that didn't cost too much and was comfortable...this it is. Room 5 shower is powerful, but so much so that it soaks the bathroom!! Food smells from kitchen in hallways but not in room, thankfully. Pub has great atmosphere but noise doesn't disturb sleep up on the top floor. We loved it.

Situated in an historic town with plenty to see. Traditional old inn with orignial features and excellent local ale as well as good food. Friendly, helpful staff. We travelled from the north midlands to do some birdwatching and found Oare Marshes an excellent location just a few miles away and the staff were happy to fill our flask with tea before we set off As a town centre pub, there was some noise during the night from late night drinkers returning home

Lovely old pub, full of character. Friendly and efficient staff. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast. Location was excellent - walking distance from the station and although central, very little traffic. We will definitely be back and have recommended it to our neighbours who visit Kent frequently.

Great location - historic old inn in centre of historic town. Wonderful welcome, staff all very friendly and willing. Great breakfast and other meals. Excellent cellar. Short drive from coast, countryside and Canterbury. Bedroom and ensuite spacious, spotless, comfortable. Will definately return. What's not to like? Unsuitable for wheelchair users, because of changes of level within very old building, but blind friends travelling with me managed fine.

The main attraction was the age of the building and a general description of Faversham in which it was situated. Liked the old look of the place and the open log fire. the bedroom had a tired "feel" about it but that's to be expected in an old building The dining tables were a bit sticky, due no doubt to just being wiped and not deeply cleaned. The fruit for breakfast was prunes which was rather too selective. We had to ask for butter and marmalade.

The room was very spacious, the bed extremely comfortable and the bathroom again very spacious. The breakfast was nice and the staff looked after us very well and with a smile - nothing was too much trouble. Only a very minor criticism: The room we had was right at the very top of the building and there were a lot of quite steep stairs - ok for us but could be a problem for some people and there was no warning on the Internet re. This.

Central town location. Convenient for our needs, we have stayed before. All staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpfull. Food - Breakfast well cooked to order and dinner is really first class. Good value. No car parking, there is a public car park at the rear. Free from 6pm to 8am. Max 4 hours @ 80p an hour during the day. Wi-Fi charges through bt Openzone. It is a very old inn so you cannot expect modern soundproofing standards, but some rooms have noisy plumbing and extraction fans.
