The staff were very friendly and the room size was generous. Several breakfast items were cold on both days despite having mentioned this on our first morning in the resteraunt. Walls are paper thin ( we were disturbed at 3am when couple in next room came in and had a conversation which you could hear perfectly) Uncomfortable beds which need new matresses

Lovely staff, nice clean hotel with excellent catering facilities. The rooms a very good and kept spotlessly clean by the staff. The only downside was that the walls were a bit thin and you could hear if anyone in the adjoining rooms were in the shower etc. I was on a business trip and did find it hard to sleep at times.

Loved the outside courtyard Stafford has a dreadful one way system and the carpark is really difficult to find, ended up hugely stressed had to pay taxi driver to guide to car park! Needs good directions on website.

Location was great. They also served a wonderful breakfast. The street outside could be quite noisy at night especially on Friday and Saturday. It's not recommended to leave your windows open. On arrival, I was asked which morning newspaper I would like delivered. I assumed it was complimentary until I checked out and was charged extra.

Breakfast was excellent, room very comfortable, the whole experience met our requirements. Staff were very efficent, polite and sociable. We lived in Stafford 20 years ago and are thinking of returning there to live now that we have retired. Spent a very pleasurable two nights at The Swan hope to be back again shortly. The lighting in the bedroom was slightly dim and not suitable for reading in bed.

. I was particularly impressed with your porter mark who dealt with 3 requests very promptly and resolved them immediatly. All staff were very helpful and knowlegable....shame I only had 1 night stay.....i would return and recommend We could not get a table for dinner as it was full the bar area was an option but not a good enviroment to eat on a very crowded saturday evening

First stay but extended family live in Stafford and recommended. Slight annoyance with 'token' system for car park; I didn't mind it but wasn't told so we had to aprk up and go back to reception - it made us 5 minutes late for a church service.

It is very central, good food in the restaurant & nice seating area & pub downstairs. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The room I booked was the executive suite and for the price it was very disappointing. Especially when I passed and saw another room that was 45 pound per night cheaper than the suite and loads nicer! If the rooms vary so much they should be priced accordingly. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds that I have ever slept on. Shower room was tiny.

Very comfortable rooms liked central position We both have some mobility problems. I couldn't use the bath/shower - couldn't get in! A grab rail would resolve this for us, and would be useful for other able bodied as well.

excellent position, clean and comfortable, can be a bit noisy at weekend, but goes quiet after midnight, brilliant if you have limited mobility, nice buzz about the place.

Our first stay at the Swan Hotel was in in October and we were very impressed with the room and the food. My husband returned last weekend and was very disappointed in the room it was smelly and damp and he asked to be moved which was done, although he did feel that the Hotel must have known the room was damp. He was also disappointed with the breakfast as the last time it was fabulous. Overall just okay. Smelly room and food a bit poor.
