Spacious rooms Friendly staff Clean and tidy Bar downstairs
many windows, good air, nice bathroom, big room, very good price
Good location. Easy commute to city centre and the staff were excellent.
Maybe some refurbishment of bathrooms.
The staff there clearly treat every guest as an individual, not just another customer. We were made to feel welcome, comfortable & relaxed. Nothing was to much trouble. The room was great, everything we needed was there, all clean & functional.
Staff were excellent (Carl was funny and welcoming). The room and surrounding area was quiet with no noise from the road.
Room was cold and a bit dusty. A space heater was provided instead of the central heating working. Spindly spiders were in the corners of the room suggesting it hadn't really been cleaned thoroughly.
Very friendly & helpful staff. Hotel was warm and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Full English breakfast was delicious and cooked to order.
Location- really close to Old Trafford, walking distance. Easy distance to Trafford bar tram stop, 2 mins walk, easy to get into city. Staff- really nice and helpful, good to have a chat with as they poured a lovely beer. Decor- as a united fan I loved all the photos of old players, the place had a sense of history to it!
My friend thought it was like a hotel from a scary movie.... It is a little dated, but that did add some character to the hotel. Maybe just needs a little tlc. Other than that, nothing at all.
Smell outside room 19 Draft in room Run Down Bar Facilities
Room was spacious
All the furniture was dirty, bathroom was mouldy and smelly, needs refurbishing
This place was a dive, there were drunken people all over the place and it seemed more of a hostel than a hotel. There were drunk people in the bar when I walked in, there were drunken men outside my room until 2am then there were drunken girls that came in at 3am. if someone walked in another room my bed shook. I stay in hotels A LOT for work and this was the worst hotel (/hostel!) I've ever stayed in!
Staff Service Breakfast
The staff were pleasant and helpful. Lovely building with great potential. Shame about the graffiti on the war memorial
Tv wouldn't work, sound but no picture. Asked staff and had to unplug and it worked. Toilet in our room wouldn't flush. Had to use the bin to fill with water and then put down the loo. Cold water tap in sink wouldn't work. Breakfast wasn't worth the money
The room was cosy.
Too many stairs to climb. No lift.
Close to the city centre if you travel by car; free parking in their courtyard; the bloke that served breakfast was really nice and amiable; the building is old and nice and should be better maintained
Rather dirty and in desperate need of refurbishing (shabby furniture, chipped tiles in the bathroom, mouldy shower pad); one of the windows didn't close properly, the water in the shower had almost no pressure (quite difficult to was and rinse your hair), one towel was grey rather than white, the doors/ walls are quite thin and you could hear anything, the carpeting is old and it's kept in place with packaging tape...
Great Breakfast Close to the cricket ground Late bar
hotel needs a full refurb, staff very freindly
Big spacious rooms bar on the ground floor cheap around Man utd Old Trafford stadium
old building so no lifts. If you have heavy bags you will have to carry it up the stairs. Tiny bathroom No food. No near by restaurant except a take away about 5 min walk. No hair dryer
Friendly and helpful staff Clean and comfortable bed Great breakfast Good value for the money.
First thig I saw as I entered the room was a very grubby stain on the arm of a sofa just inside the door. It was easilly removed with a damp cloth from the bathroom, but it gave a poor initial impression of what was actually not a bad room.
Staff we very welcoming giving a homely atmosphere
The hot water sometimes went off meaning for a night I had to endure a cold shower
Location was adequate for our stay
Booking a hotel & being out in an, Anex with no heating & not very clean
Have stayed here for every trip I've made to Manchester and love it. Great prices, big rooms.
The bath tub looked like it could do with an update
Bathroom was sad...the shower was broken...really had to struggle to get a simple shower too
Excellent room - greatly improved from last stay a few years back. Free parking and friendly check in chap. Would stay again - excellent for Old Trafford cricket & football.
Not sure I'd want to walk the streets after dark around here? Hey ho, bar in hotel was fine…..
