Very good,

“ We had been for a day out to Alton towers. The hotel was about 15 minutes from here. It was clean, comfortable and had lots of amenities. There was a pub/ restaurant next door, a 24 hour mcdonalds opposite and a 24 hour tesco across the road. So handy if u forget anything. Overall great location. ”

Friendly Staff If you book hear beware the A50 which is a very busy duel carriage way which is right outside you window, busy all night, if you stay in one of the back rooms, this kept me awake all night with ear plugs in and a pillow on my head. Stained pillow case (bodily fluids)! Sticky surfaces in room and Pub restaraunt where I had a Sirloin Steak which was like Shoe leather! I would personally never stay here again!

Not much. Room 4 - ground floor room. One of the blind slats missing from window which means that people walking past can see into the window. Window frame was broken and you could see daylight through the window even when shut. No hot water at all the following morning and we had to boil the kettle to get hot water in the hand basin. Not a pleasant experience at all.

The room was very clean, was also tiedied up again whilst my partner and I were out. The reception staff were friendly and helpful with any queries. I'm unsure wether there was a limit to available hot water per 24h or not but I did find after having a bath on our second night there was absalutely no hot water from then onwards. If I was staying for another night I would have made the staff aware of this but given that I was leaving at 11am the following morning it was not too much of an issue.

Nice sized room, friendly staff, comfy beds. Food is very basic, the room we stayed in was a bit poor is decoration wise. There is a bed side light on the wall but this twin room didn't have one at the far end! The ceiling plaster is coming down in the bathroom but rest of bathroom ok

it was clean the bar was nice, spacious, had tvs, cheap price, good food when i arrived was the only time i saw someone at reception but they were friendly and helpful Bar staff were friendly especially rob.(not including the 1 barman that kept ignoring me the whole night and only served locals/regulars) Iron didnt work in the room There was no hot water(all taps and showers) in my room or my friends room so had to take cold showers. No staff ever at reception to help. 1 barman just ignored me constantly and only served other locals but other bar staff were lovely.

Location No hot water for most of the stay. Reception not manned 24 hours ( needed assistance) Restaurant was appalling. Would never eat there again. Food was disgusting, staff were so disorganised, no cutlery, glasses, dishes etc for breakfast. Service was terrible. I saw the staff outside smoking more times than working. It was a shame as I was drawn to booking at the weathervane as it looked so friendly, pretty and welcoming. Very disappointing.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, the food in the bar was good too. The noise coming from the motorway was hard to get to sleep too and the shower in our room didn't have any hot water.

the staff at weather vane were very friendly and extremely helpful! the bed was extra comfy! the room was kept nice and warm by a little wall heater. The food in the restaurant was wonderful! But maybe put more milk in the room for the cups of teas as we like one on the evening and one in the morning but im sure if we would of asked we would have been given some. Not a bad word to say about the weather vane hotel.

The carpark at the front was very noisy. We were woken up at about 6am by a works van outside our window. Presumably they had been to get a mcdonalds breakfast!

There was a big problem with being charged twice for my room, which wasn't their fault, but they were amazing, and I believe are going to refund the difference. Big rooms and excellent facilities. Great value for money. The double booking, which I think was a computer glitch and nothing to do with weather vane I Don't believe.
