The Weathervane was clean and comfortable, all we needed for our trip to Alton towers (only 20mins away). Very quick check in and out. The Hungary Horse downstairs was great too. We will use this hotel again for our next visit :) There was a faint humming sound from a fan in the bathroom that could not be turned off and the blind at the window did not keep light out very well in the mornings...not big problems.

Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our stay here, considering we only stayed for one night it was such good value for money and had such a relaxing atmosphere. The food & drink was lovely and so were the staff. We loved our little boothe in which we ate our meal that had a little tv inside :) The room was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. I would definatly recommend it if you are a family aswell. Cheap & Cheerfull :) Thankyou for a lovely stay!

The fact it has a Tesco 24hours/petrol station,McDonalds & hungry horse restruant on the doorstep is fantastic! The bathroom in the rooms could be improved &the mouldy shower curtain was gross but apart from that it was fantastic! Will stay again. Very convenient for Alton Towers which was the purpose of the stay.

Excellent location for Alton towers. The rooms were clean and a good size. The food was lovely and the portions were huge and very reasonably priced. We would stay again.

Good value with comfortable rooms. Handy location for Stoke and surrounding area and close proximity to a pub/restaurant, mcdonalds and tesco. Terrestrial TV only. Adjacent pub attracts alot of 'boy racers' and young crowd who delight in foul language. Reception always unmanned during my stay. Staff pleasant but sometimes difficult to track down.

Convenient. Competitively priced. All the facilities with done of the frills. There was no receptionist. I had to queue for over 10 minutes in the bar where there was only one assistant on duty. This was very poor indeed and a very bad start to an otherwise good stay.

As we live in Spain and visit England a few times a year to catch up with family/friends/shopping....the weather vane to us is the ideal location as it is central for everything that we want and need. We had bad weather on this trip, so it was good that we could pop in to the bar for a snack or a coffee, main meal or a drink, without having to leave the hotel. The room also has everything you need, tv, Radio, tea making, iron, even a trouser press. My personal favorite for the winter is the heated towel rail! Lovely to get out of the shower/bath to waiting hot towels. Okay ... on the last two occasions we have had electric problems. 1St time the heater packed up completely. The second time, different room, the heater sparked when it was hot. One of the wall lights exploded and threw the bulb and shade across the room. Also the toilet flush was not the best. Small irritation, the reception never seemed to be manned when we wanted anything. Including signing in after a very long, tiring traumatic trip. Which meant a visit to the bar to get a member of staff. The staff in general are very good especially the new manager (very polite and helpful). However there are a couple of members of staff who we found to be loud, ignorant, and full on but I am sure that time will sort this out. However for all my comments ......I LOVE THE WEATHERVANE. and did I say that the FOOD IS EXCELLENT.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The only complanit that we had was that the room was very cold on arrival, but when we pointed this out to the staff, they provided us with an electric heater very quickly. We were very impressed with the speed they delt with this complaiint. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay, Anne and Mike Ward

Because we have family within 1 mile radius of the hotel, the location was perfect. It also is within walking distance of Tesco, Aldi and Mcdonalds which was great for us. We entertained friends in the bar. Few young ones in but in the main they were okay. We ate in the restaurant on our last night and the steak was lovely. We are English but live in Spain. This hotel was comfortable and friendly, good to have english tv in the room and tea making facilities. Great location for shopping. Will be booking again in February and again in June. Two small hiccups. The heater broke on our last day. Could happen to anyone. Would have liked more than one bath towel in the room. We did ask and receive extra, but the cleaning staff removed them again the next day and replaced them with one again. Is it the policy to share towels??

Very cold room. Had to bring sleeping bag in from family we were visiting as there was only a thin duvet and no blankets to use. Fire on wall smelt of singeing when put on. Cant comment on staff only saw a lady who gave us the key. Room had everything we needed so as we only used it to sleep in it met our needs.

I liked the location which is close to where my relations live. I liked the layout arrangement that the hotel, pub and Hungry Horse Restaurant were all interconnected. This is very practical if there was poor weather. Good value for money. Will certainly visit again.
