I liked it was £30 for a night so £15 each for me and my partner and rooms were modern clean had tv kettle. Very comfortable beds. With adjoining bar and restaurant was cheap beer and good food, and for extra £6 got full English and continental breakfast buffet cant go wrong. Nothing got more then my 30 pounds worth

The ideal location of having tescos and macdonalds across the road. The fact that the pub that was attached had lovely food.... You can certainly tell it is rather old, fixtures and fittings are falling apart and/or havent been replaced (tap missing C/hook fallen off door and not replaced/light bulbs sticking out of the lamp shade etc). The windows are not good (dont keep out the noise) Blinds dont fit the windows to block out the light from car park. Just needs a little updating and would be a lovely place. It was a shame that when we arrived a football match was going on in the bar and no staff available to check in without having to go through all the roudy men to get to the bar.

Easy to find. Simple and clean rooms, we slept well and enjoyed the afternoon and evening. The only slight problem was that the patio doors in room 26 are very draughty due to not being sealed well.

The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean and tidy. The wifi wasn't working. The hotel and bar service was poor and can do with improving. The rooms were drafty and leaked when it was raining.

It took a while for the staff to find my reservations leaving me thinking that I had not booked. It took about 15 mins to find my reservations. The bar staff who helped out was very friendly on the other hand the lady on the reception desk made me feel very in comfortable and had no people skills. Also when ringin they said they payment will come straight out of my bank when arriving they told me that it hadn't been paid therefore was givin false information

The room was clean and well kept. The wifi was good. The food did not meet the standard set by the hotel though. The food was a bit to greasy for me and there was no service to the tables. If you don't know this the staff in the bar will not explain it.

We were visiting alton towers, after a 4 hour drive from home and then spending all day at the park, it was lovely to have a small drive to our hotel, was pleasantly surprised wen entering our room to see it was clean and fresh especially as it didnt break the bank to stay here. After freshening up we then went to the adjoining pub and spent the evening having drinks and a wonderful meal, I would definately stay here again and would also recommend it to others. Thanks again .

Second visit here, for Alton Towers. So reasonable location a few miles away. The hotel is excellent value for money, very clean & friendly staff. The restuarant is the jewel in the crown, as the numerous locals who seem to flock there, atest! Just cannot fault for value for money & the quality of food is surprisingly very, very good!!! Again, like to mention all the staff, very friendly!! Definately will return! For £40 a night, (room rate), absolutely nothing!!!!

Great value for money and ideal location for visiting Alton Towers. Attached Restaurant was excellent. Lack of curtains at the windows. I like to sleep with my window open and the office type blinds rattled the hole night.

Excellent, comfortable, friendly and clean. Near the attractions of historic Stoke and a good springboard for the Peak District. Good food at Hungry Horse in same premises Bed too soft for our taste. Continental Breakfast ok but disorganised.

The comfy bed The fact that when ran a bath the plug didnt fit the bath which left the water running out before i got into it. The first room was dirty which i went into, the second was not much better and freezing cold. The constant noise from the a50. Horrendous No sleep

Easy to locate and convenient for our needs. On each occasion we have stayed we found the reception desk unattended and had to enquire at the bar staff.

Convenient. Competitively priced. All the facilities with done of the frills. There was no receptionist. I had to queue for over 10 minutes in the bar where there was only one assistant on duty. This was very poor indeed and a very bad start to an otherwise good stay.
