Friendliness of the staff and a really warm , welcoming atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and am coming again.

UHT milk for tea in the room is the only 'no-no' - I'd leave that to Travelodge. Everything else was delightful.

The Staff were friendly and helpful despite their mix up with the booking. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Restaurant was very good with a good choice of food. Would definitely return.

Genuinely warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Cosy, rural atmosphere in village surroundings. Excellent food, good beer and wine. Comfortable and well appointed rooms.

This was not our first stay at the walnut tree, we visit family in yeovil often, and wouldnt stay any where else, we can always rely on a warm welcome, good food, and a very comfortable stay.

The staff were very welcoming and freindly. The food was excellent and our stay was made very pleasant.

Our only small gripe was the fact that we had booked and emphasised our requirement for a twin room, and when we arrived we were shown a double, the twin had already been taken.

the whole four nights we stayed were made special by the really friendly staff,and the atmosphere that was created in this lovely hotel. They were welcoming without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a base near national trust properties and lovely countryside and who wants a great place to stay. We ate every night in the hotel because the good food couldnt be faulted, always hot and delicious and served on hot plates! Please go, you wont be disappointed.

The high standard of comfort for a single room was superb, it's not often even in a four star hotel now to get a bathroom complete with bath and shower. I was tempted by the dinner menu and was not disappointed, finding that both care and attention had been spent ensuring everything was perfect. Not often that you find everything being made fresh, rather than coming out of packets.

Appart from not being able to sample more of the exciting menu the only minor thing that I could think of was that the car park spaces were rather too small and crammed in.

The food was excellent. The staff very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

Room 11 (Ash) was a bit on the small size with everything that was in it, didn't have much room to move around.

We were in Somerset for a family wedding. The staff were great and helped sort out a couple of last minute hitches (one of the party booked the wrong Walnut Tree some 40 miles away by mistake - so take care!). The owner rang around to help find 2 rooms at the last minute. Food was excellent, freshly cooked and at reasonable cost. The rooms were all different, stylish and comfortable. Wi-Fi was excellent too, and free. Thanks, to all at the Walnut Tree!

Not too keen on the decoration of the room, but the quality was good, just not my choice.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean, the food excellent in the a la carte, first class breakfast. Ample parking and a lovely location, even the natives were friendly.

Everything about the Walnut Tree was perfect, room, food and staff, we will be staying there again and I would highly recommend it.
