The small family feeling of the place, the pleasant people who run the place and the way they made you feel so important. In all a great get away from it all place. Hope to be back there at some point.
Not a thing!
Staff are very attentive without being intrusive, excellent place to stay, we will return there again.
Bed was rather soft, and the radiator in the bathroom was red hot and could not be switched off.
The setting was wonderful, the staff were very friendly, all in all a very welcome place to stay. Would definitely stay there again !
One little gripe, the hot water wasn't always hot !
They had put the heating on be for we arrived , so the rooms were nice & warm for us, the beds were very comfortable & the shower was super, All the meals were Excellent Also all the staff I would recommend this Hotel to any one:
For us the location. The hotel is not too big. Excellent service and very comfortable.
We liked everything about it.
Food, excellent Room very good, clean and comfortable;
Really enjoy the welcome, service and attention to detail. This is the fourth time we have stayed at this charming hotel. Would recommend it to anyone.
Comfortable, clean, excellent food, friendly helpful staff, peaceful location. A very enjoyable experience, would highly recommend and I hope to visit again.
great food, friendly staff, fair trade hot chocolate in addition to tea/coffee in the room
room was a bit chilly
Lovely welcoming hotel with good standard of accommodation and staff who clearly care about their guests. Lovely location and good, if a little expensive, restaurant.
Poor sound insulation between our room and the one above and size of bathroom. Room rate probably too high for the quality but suspect there may be some room variation.
Food excellent if a little expensive. Great service. Clean room.
Would have liked little milk sachets as the milk in the flask tends to go off overnight if it's a warm night.
breakfast was good. Surroundings were good.
Very dark room downstairs. Appreciate eco light bulbs but had to have every light on in the room to see, so defeats object. Couldn't read. Bathroom, asked for a bath but got a shower. Nowhere to hang anything in Bathroom, no loo brush, no heated towel rail so had wet towels all weekend. Lots of noise all night from people above and to side and lots of water noise. WIFI no good. Didn't eat in restaurant cos menu was unadventurous.
Excellent food and very friendly owners and staff
excellent staff. Felt like home from home, but waited on extremely well . Food was wonderful and beautifully presented. Nothing was too much trouble.
Nothing to dislike !
A lovely friendly hotel with great hosts, and in a super location
We liked the atmosphere and room furnishings. Staff were very attentive and polite. Breakfast very good and no waiting between courses.
Quiet but near to main routes. Room was very comfortable. Housekeeper was very friendly.
The evening meal was lovely.Good quality beautifully presented, just the job at the end of a long day spent travelling
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating. Excellent food. Great location just far enough from the main road so that it's still easy to find but with none of the noise.
Struggling to think of anything.
Friendliness of staff. Relaxing in the bar/lounge before being taken into the dinning area.
Pillows a bit flat but this is only a minor comment.
Friendly staff Excellent food Very clean
Noisy plumbing Soundproofing not good Room too dark Overpriced Sometimes insufficient hot water
The closeness to our family in South Cadbury. A nice room with a good size bed. It was nice not to have a duvet as we can't cope with them.
The front door was very difficult to lock and unlock, glad there wasn't a fire!! The bath, for us oldies, was difficult to get in and out of, infact my husband was unable to have a shower. A grab rail could have solved the problem.
