The staff were friendly I did not consider it value for money. I have stayed in cheaper hotels with better amenities |

It was clean, warm and quiet. Pleased to see it had controllable radiators, and did not have air-conditioning, which can be noisy and susceptible to health problems. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and treated each guest as an individual. The room was a little cramped, but then we didn't see any other rooms. |

Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast room very pleasant. Location was very good for the city I felt that the hotel looked a little bit tired and could do with a "makeover" |

The receptionists were very helpful and the room was, although quite small, very clean and comfortable with a nice spacious bathroom. The location was close to the city centre, only about 5-10 min. walk. Some of the staff serving breakfast were a bit rude and seemed reluctant to respond to requests for more coffee etc. I thought it would have been a good idea to have been able to help yourself to coffee and tea from the buffet table as well as to all the nice breakfast servings that were laid out. |

Friendly staff. Loved the fruit and drinks in the room. The bathroomcould do with little maintence. Taps little loose shower difficult to get at correct temperature but these outweighed by helpful courteous staff |

Overall satisfactory given the room rate. Scruffy room. The neighbouring restaurant was acceptable. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful |

The manner in which Ii was greeted at reception and the happy, cheerful service received. The included breakfast was good. The room, 2, had very shabby, in fact soiled carpet and upholstery. The wall radiator did not work, although I was provided with a fan heater when I asked about this. I found the stairs steep so glad I was next to the dining room. I would give a qualified recommendation to other people |

I thought the hotel staff were extremely friendly and the room was of a great condition. It had everything i wanted, (tv, drink making equipment etc) I did not like the shared bathroom, which didn't have a shower, bu this was just a small matter |

I liked the friendliness of the staff and their helpfulness. The room was comfortable. There was a bath and shower which was good. The breakfast was excellent and the price was very, very reasonable. It was ideal for a weekend. The hotel is in need of redecorating throughout, and double glazing installed. This would probably make it dearer though. |

Quite and very convenient. Just what i needed for a quick & cheap overnight stay. The breakfast staff were too busy talking to each other and did not get my breakfast order correct. In addition 1 item of food was so over cooked it was almost burnt. |

proximity to places and people we wanted to visit The dining room is too small and some of the decor desperately needs replacing - the wallpaper is peeling off the walls in the dining room |
