Especially the staff in the breakfast room, very friendly and helpful. All staff at the hotel were really great, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was compact, but had everything we needed. A good base for a weekend in Bristol. The centre of town was a 20 minutes walk away, and Clifton village is nearby and interesting.

Great staff and location, free parking was also very handy! Great location for theatre where I was working. Decor was ropey at best but this is a budget hotel and everything was clean and presentable. Would stay again.

All the staff, from Manager, Reception to Breakfast serving staff were friendly, helpful and polite. It was close to bus routes and easy to get into town. Breakfast was rushed with staff rushing round. The time slot for breakfast was short too. It isn't strictly a Hotel as it didn't provide the evening meal there. We had to go up the road to their restaurant - which was quite nice but like a gastropub. The decor was very tired. Cracks in the plastered walls and scratched, finger-marked doors. There was a shocking sewerage smell in our room and we were eventually moved to another room which proved very noisy with creaky floors, etc. The parking is extremly limited.

friendly staff. the restaurant "racks" that they recommended was lovely. paint peeling off walls, thin walls, could here everyone in the corridors. Paid for a days wifi but had to keep going back to reception to get another password. UGLY rooms. Staff were eating cake when we walked in. The voucher that they gave us for "racks" was 15% but theres a 10% service charge so it's just 5%.

Room 1 which I was in smelled of smoke, was in the basement and felt rather claustrophobic plus I had to struggle a bit with my bags as I crossed the breakfast room to get to my room. Staff were great and car park at back very handy. Great location at a good price.

It was a well-priced, friendly and suitably located establishment for my purposes. I was in Bristol doing a concert and came back late in the evening after a very demanding day's work to a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. All staff extremely helpful and polite. Was pleasantly surprised at the value for money and overall service. Had stayed recently in London for the same tarif. However the hotel was not in the same league as the Washington. Would definitely recommend and use the Washington again when I'm in Bristol.

The staff were pleasant. I liked the courtesy call I received to confirm the booking. There was no hot water in my room. Instead of being offered an alternative room ie 2 singles or a double we were given a key for a room on the opposite side of the hotel on the ground floor to have a shower in. It was very embarrassing. The other alternative would have been to book us into another hotel at your cost as this would have encouraged me to return to this hotel when I return in the future.

I thought the staff were very nIce and helpful. Location was good. Easy parking. Very nice breakfast. The hotel is very run down after the reception area. My room was horrible - very small and poorly decorated with no ensuite and a sink in a cupboard. The bed was very uncomfortable and I could not sleep. The experience was very disappointing. The place needs a major redecoration.

Staff were very friendly and efficient. Secure but expensive parking. Location within the city. Great breakfast selection. It is a bit old and needs a fair bit of tidying up, decor and furnishings dated and worn. Rooms overlooking main road out front are quite noisy. Seems to be a bit of a Stag / Student place with groups obviously intending on going out and coming back late and noisy. I would say only just OK.

The staff were extremely polite, helpful and professional in their duties. The lack of car parking when busy is a problem. For visitors their to work breakfast would be better served from 0645 hrs to enable those having to leave by 0715 hrs to have a settled breakfast. This is not a criticism. The service in the dining room was v good.

Friendly hotel, well situated for the city and location to Clifton. Lack of car parking is a concern for size of hotel but customers are advised of car parking limitations. Breakfast starts at 0700 hrs, however, a large number of people are there for work and where in breakfast well before 0700 hrs, therefore, early breakfast at 0645 hrs would be useful.
