Best Haggis in the Highlands! With a lovely view of the ever changing illuminated bridge.
The staff and location were very good
The road works around the town made it difficult to know where we were going
The main parts of the hotel was clean and kept well
The townhouse they use next door (felstead) was very dirty with the front door paint peeling off. And it smelt very musty and looked more like a youth hostel. Some of the staff are in need of serious re training
Very good location excellent value for money staff could not be more helpfull
Had dinner in the restaurant. Very stodgy lasagne, and the staff very unattentive. Never asked if we wanted dessert and further drinks. Staff very slouchy in matter.
Location for city centre and restaurants is excellent
The breakfast was satisfactory. The haddock and poached egg was slightly overlooked and the variety of fruits was limited
Welcoming staff. Early morning breakfast for marathon runners. Warm ethos of hotel. Central location.
Very comfortable, clean, friendly hotel, close to centre of Inverness.
Great hotel, fantastic location for the running festival. Very central and great views.
Nice hotel, good staff and a joy to stay
The only slight dislike: there could be a few shelves in the bathroom. Makes life so much easier.
warm, friendly helpful staff fantastic food comfortable sitting room personal touch
walls must be very thin, as I was kept awake by snoring in next room
A superb and most enjoyable stay for our golden Wedding. The staff were attentive and really caring and my wife loved the flowers given to her!!
Room Furnishing Breakfast
Car park was a bit full
The location and charm of this establishment were wonderful. Within easy walking distance of many attractions and the bus station. A beautiful river front view from the dining room and lovely riverside walks just out the front door. For the most part the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.
The internet connection in my room was slow and unreliable. It was very difficult to plan and prepare for my next day's activities. I finally resorted to leaving my room and going to the lounge to use the internet. That was a time consuming inconvenience that I did not need at the end of a tiring day.
food was great, pleasant restaurant setting, deluxe room was spacious with great view. Other than receptionist staff was pleasant
entrance not enticing, awkward to get to reception. You would probably walk out if it wasn't booked. Basic room was not good for the price although all rooms were clean. Receptionist uncaring, not pleasant, therefore not a good rep for the hotel.
Cooked Highland grill breakfast. Great nights sleep, even though a wedding party was in. amazing views. Close to city centre. Staff were friendly. Lovely weather a relaxing break.
We had to leave! could easily have stayed longer!
Restaurant food choice and quality good. Staff pleasant. On return for one night night staff porters very helpful, providing coffe at 4.45 am
Room 30 next to car park entrance. No night porter on 2 nights I was there and the door opened and slammed frequently until 2am. Member of staff smoking outside window. Room small and spartan but was a single
Location was excellent for the purpose of our trip. Visited for one night....staff very attentive, very clean...and had everything we needed. Also had lunch on our arrival which was good value for money. Would return.
The room was next to the back door and as a result very noisy. Notice on the windows asking to keep them locked when you were away from the room. If it wasn't safe when empty then no safer when occupied so had to keep windows closed. The room above had very squeaky floorboards all across the room and as a result I was woken up at 6.30. The staff at breakfast check in we're not on the desk and had to wait. No staff available to check out despite ringing the bell. Other people walked away and came back later. Would not stop here again and woud not recommend it.
Loved that the room was right on the river. The room was clean, bright and spacious.
Very comfortable bed.
Could have been a bit more welcoming.
We knew nothing about Stonehaven except that it was near a ruined castle that interested me. A real delight to find the town was a quiet little gem and the hotel just gorgeous. Lovely room, great food, very helpful friendly staff.
Only quibble was that the room hadn't been stocked with towels for two guests, and at night there was no one on site to see about getting another bath towel.
The room was ok, location was fine, food w.as reasonable
Totally unacceptable noise levels from the wedding below our bedroom till 12-45 in the morning, no apologies from the management for this disgraceful display of thoughtfulness for guests
