Very friendly hotel with good food, pleasant surroundings and convenient for the centre of Inverness. We were lucky to have been given one of the rooms at the front so we had a good view of the river and the christmas lights on the riverbank. The room itself was large and extremely comfortable.

The location was excellent. Great river views from the restaurant.Staff friendly. Check in & out efficient. Breakfast very good. The soup & sandwiches were a real treat beside the log fire in the lounge on a cold afternoon. We were put into the annexe which was very disappointing, as we were not aware the hotel used one. There was no mention of an annexe on the hotel website--a bit mean! The room was very cramped. The fan in bathroom did not go off for ages after switch was turned off--very annoying in the middle of the night. It was a bitterly cold, damp trot next door into the hotel itself each morning for breakfast.

Clean room, helpful staff The hotel's wifi doesn't work in the rooms. No bath in en suite. Heating was off/low all day but came on full blast during the night which is both uncomfortable and unnecessary. Walls are extremely thin so heard every detaicouple couple's Saturday night drunken argument next door. Expensive food and drink. Trio of salmon - ridiculous amount of fish on the plate. The hotel isnt huge but yet there's a £5 delivery charge on room service - however if you make the effort to walk down a small staircase to collect the tray from the bar, it's free! Entrance and stairs are tired and dated. Always had to wait to get served at the bar even though it was empty because there was only one waitress/bar member for the whole place. Receptionist on check out was very rude and scruffy.

Location and surrounding area was quiet. The view from the conservatory resaurant were superb as was the food and certainly well above pub grub standard. It was a quiet 5 minute stroll to the town where ample shops bars and resaurants were available. The staff were extremely helpful, couteous and knowlegable of the area. Car parking was ample and quite secure at the rear of the building ( We drve to Inverness however the if travelling by train the station is a very short taxi ride and if walking would only take approx 20 mins at a sedate pace. The room we had was a little small but quite adequate with a shower, no bath, though I am sure if requested some rooms will have a bath. The room we had was not double glazed and much codensation and water ran down the inside of the window onto the inside ledge. Given our visit was in January and it was very cold we would have expected our room to be warm on arrival. This was not so as the rediator was switched off until we entered the room wich meant it was very cold and took some time to warm up to a tolerable standard. Once warm though the room remained quite cosy and comfortable. All in all though I would still recommend this hotel as there was nothing critically wrong.

Ease of access for me was important as I have mobility problems. The first night I stayed my room was up a flight of stairs which were somewhat difficult for me to climb. Had your wonderful staff not assisted me with my luggage I would have found it impossible . For my second stay a week later, again for only 1 night, I was able to use the room designed for use by disabled guests. This was a1st class room! It is a pity you do not have one or two more but I suppose it may be a question of space. The Restaurant was very nice, with the lovely river views, and food was excellent.

Excellent location on the banks of the River Ness - only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the town centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful - especially when I couldn't get my car to start when I was ready to leave! Very nice, large room in the original part of the hotel overlooking the river. Good breakfast.

We've been before & always found the service to our satisfaction. Food is excellent and everyone very friendly and helpful. All in all very good value. Will most certainly go again. By no means a complaint, but although the room was clean & very comfortable, the decor is looking a bit tired now.

The Waterside is ideally located, in the centre of Inverness, and therefore ideally situated and convenient for visiting most of the main attractions in Inverness for both business and leisure. The hotel is pleasant and comfortable. No complaints.
