Thankfully we only booked for 1 night. Totally misled by hotel pictures and description. 'All the Welbeck’s rooms equipped with a tv', no tv in our room and when queried with staff, could not understand English too well. Bar or was not open, although was told that it was open between 7pm & 10pm. Room was dark & mouldy (nothing like pictures on website), stains & marks on bedding sheets.

This hotel is disgusting. The photos on your website must have been taken a long time ago. When we first checked in our room had vomit or ?? on the floor (202) and it stunk. Then we were given another room (209), this had water damaged ceiling and walls, dirty marks everywhere, loose floorboards. Faced with not having anywhere else to stay in Blackpool we agreed to have the room. I can send photos if you like. There was one socket in the room which was too far away for the kettle and tv (which didn't work either), there were two towels - one we didn't use as it was dirty. We had booked for breakfast, the cutlery and plates etc were dirty, even the glasses were dirty, no excuse for cleanliness. The only good thing about this hotel is the free parking, as long as you don't mind getting blocked in! I would seriously recommend that you do not have this hotel on your website.

Room was shockingly small. Holes in the walls. Shower barely worked - hardly any power from the water. Smelt. Matresses were rock hard. Live wires hanging above the mirror in the bathroom. Stained carpet and creaky floorboards. Room absolutely boiling without radiator being on. Lift facilities not working.

The staff were very helpful. Meals very good. Rooms poorly decorated, not enough furniture in the rooms. The bathroom needed some shelving and hooks for clothes and towels.

The staff were rarerly about. In the four nights we stayed the rooms were not serviced I.E. clean towels etc. The landing and stairway are very musty smelling. We were charged an extra £5 per day for a sea view. We had to complain about the noise coming from the room next door, which, by the way was the other half of our room (partition separation wall built but not soundproof). Whilst we stayed there were several guests who booked in and then asked for their money back. I would not recommend this hotel and would not ever stay there in the future. The hotel is run down and needs a facelift from top to bottom along with a good clean and some friendly staff.

the hotel wasnt busy yet we was placed on the third floor, there was no lift so we was out of breathe when walking up and down the stairs, we asked for a change of pillows and we was rejected. and had to put a deposit on hairdryer and a tele, which i thought was giving a poor service, this was not told upon check in only when we asked and the hotel staff could not speak english. not welcoming. and a rubbish hotel. do not know how the hotel is running.

I never been to Blackpool before and so I was bit reluctant about transport etc, so found this place which was closest I can find to the venue I wanted to go to. I spend more money in restaurant than here for then whole night. Basic room with ensuite. After reading reviews yesterday, I was shocked that how can people be so ungrateful and unfair. I would simply say that my stay for perfect for what I have paid. Some minor issues came but they were petty and not worth mentioning. I have recommended this hotel to all of my colleagues and I hope they do well. I do not understand, how staff and management can take so much non sense from people.

Place to crash, cheap and cheerful. One thing I would like to add is what people say about this place. I do not thing is entire truth. They didn't serve us drinks at 2.00am in the morning. However come to think of it now I got their point.

It was conveniently located near the event I was attending. Room was not fully prepared - no towels. i requested from reception and was given just a single huge towel. The main literature in the room was a list of prices that would be charged for any damage! I took photos of slightly damaged bathroom equipment and a broken piece of furniture that had been secreted away at some stage. Breakfast (additional cost) was served from 9am to 10am with only a little flexibility (was offered 08:30). I was checking out at 07:30 and had to wait over 10 minutes before a dishevelled patron appeared. Add to that a surcharge of £2.50 for credit card or £1.00 for debit card (not mentioned on booking.com) and you get the feeling that they just want as much money as they can get for minimum service.

It was dirty, the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful and didn't understand English, it smelled so bad on the stairs leading to our room I heaved, felt like we wouldn't make it to our room as the stairs felt like they we're going to collapse, the radiators were leaking on the landings and the carpet was wet and smelly due to the leak, our bedding wasn't clean, still had hairs on the bedding and crumpled sheets, the bed base had holes in it, the radiator in our room was on full heat but when turned down it didn't cool but not a bad thing as the room was freezing as the window was broken and didn't shut, it was tied with a piece of string to a screw on the wall! The shower was disgusting and dirty we wouldn't have attempted to use it and there was no holder for the shower head anyway, the light in the bathroom didn't work, the toliet made a funny noise when flushed which lasted around half an hr, good job we had sleeping bags in the car boot and we slept in them on top of the bed, we paid £10 for breakfast and was told (and it was also in black and white on the welcome sheet in the room) it was served between 8.30am and 9.30am, we went down at 9am and all was dark and locked up, we rang the bell on reception for 15 mins until a member of staff woke up and told us it wasn't served until 9am, even though now it was 9.15!!! we'd had enough and told them we were checking out and we wanted our money refunded for the breakfast we'd paid for to be told no!! Good job we know our rights and after some explanation we were refunded, but only £8 and we paid by card and was charged £1.50 , rather than carry it on we just left, couldn't wait to get out fast enough!! Anyone reading this please don't go to this hotel, it want's knocking down and how the place is still open is beyond me, most disgusting, dirty, vile place on the planet - anyone staying their should be paid to do so and not vice versa!!! I wouldn't let a homeless starving dog stay the night as that would be cruel!

The staff didn't really make you feel welcome. Didn't ask us wether we would like any services with out stay. Refused two of our friends a room when clearly the hotel was empty with plenty of room. Games room wasn't even active. I don't think I'd refer or come back.
