Amazing location and friendly staff made for a perfect weekend.
Mostly i liked the location of this hotel. Its ideal for a weekends stay in winchester.
I find the hotel a bit on the expensive side for a solo traveller as myself.Who often uses this hotel to visit my daughter at the university there. I paid £105 for one nights stay and this was not value for money as my room looked out onto the rear of high street shops and their bins...of which most mornings are collected and emptied during the early hours. Thus disturbing a nights sleep....
Great location and breakfast
Very uncomfortable bed
The lack of sound dampening
Location and friendly staff
Dirty laundry basket left in the hall way for4 hours
Good value for money and right in the centre of Winchester. Clean room and friendly staff.
£5 surcharge for room service??
pillows were hard
Breakfast, size of room, comfortable beds, location, parking, and friendly staff.
Poor plumbing in bathroom, basement loos very scruffy, hotel needs redecorating in parts, bedroom noisy with lorry deliveries in the morning.
Service from staff was excellent and breakfast is always good. Rooms are comfortable and clean with good beds. Being central you can really enjoy walking through the main street or visiting the Cathedral.
Fantastic location, with a view of the magnificent cathedral out our bedroom window. Hotel was very accepting of our dog travelling with us as we walked the South Downs way
Price to pay for dog was very expensive
The town is a really busy, friendly town with great day and nightlife. Architecture has prices from all ages. Will definitely go back.
The hotel hasn't got enough parking spaces and charges £10 per night. We went out for the day only to come back to find a wedding reception taking place, so we as residents had to park in the council car park.
breakfast was excellent cleanliness town centre
delivery trucks arriving at 6.30 outside my bedroom window - very noisy brick wall for a view room small for price no stationary TV old - channels froze on occassions/no dvds to rent very expensive parking fees - this should be free for guests
Wifi. Good location
No towels in 1 room and only 1 towel in the other. Luckily found a towel and mat in the top of the cupboard in one room.
Location good. Rooms had view of cathedral.
Decor tired. Lots of dust on awnings of four poster bed. Sheet had sticky residue on. Toilet very slow to refill.
I liked staying close to the town and cathedral.
Didnt like sleeping on the side of the hotel which backed the back of the shops. As during early hours glass bottles and rubbish was emptied into industrial wheelie bins, creating alot of noise. Also even though i reported to reception the broken bedside lamps on the first nighy of stay, by the end of our stay they still had not been fixed in room 232.
Location Friendly/pleasant staff Large room & TV
For the rate, the room was tucked far away. No breakfast included & the hotel clearly wasn't full. The bathroom floor flooded loads after using the shower and there were stains on the mirror & pillow. Bed not very comfortable though was a large size
Design and layout of hotel rather unappealing
Central location, good price and friendly staff
Parking is a bit cramped and awkward to access.
A bit dated and tired. Shower screen leaking.
Location (Near town).. Beds were nice TV
No Sky Sports Shower leaked Having beggars ask for money when leaving the hotel !!!
Massive comfortable bed 1 min walk from city centre don't need to mess about with taxis Staff are very friendly, polite and helpful, gave us an ice bucket and glasses
Parking was limited, I had to queue in the pay and display, although it's free from 6pm sat to 8am mon. The carpet was a bit tired, couple of spill stains from previous guests and the shower leaked onto the floor, flooding the bathroom, bathroom could do with a bit of DIY here and there
The evening meal we had was exceptional, the room was well equiped and comfortable
Just a bit fuzzy with pillows do prefer feather, plus the extractor fan didnt work in bathroom so became very steamed up after shower.
We had a beautiful view of the cathedral. The room was very spacious
Not enough plugs in the room
