Was grossed out to find blood stained sheet and comforter Beds were lumpy

Friendly helpful staff, good location, good food.

Toilets in ground floor had a very unpleasant smell.

The staff were very freindly and the food in the resturant was excellent i will diffently go back here again

The only thing was the lift was very small

Lift. Size of shoe box, very claustrophobic! Breakfast whilst good, could do with being replenished a bit more frequently. Bed was very uncomfortable.

Being close to the town and beach. Good views from the dining area out to the estury. Relaxed atmosphere throughout. Grand staircase.

I felt isolated in room 212, when one night, there was a bit of a commotion from one of the other rooms. I did not know whether I should have checked out my safety with reception. I didn't, but everything was OK. No-one knocked on my door in anger.

To begin with Parking was not easy, on road pot luck parking. We then extremely disappointed when we got to the room, Very small, stuffy, looking out on a roof top with rubbish, strange smell, didn't feel particularly clean, stained cushions and carpet. The bed was in no way a full size double bed, and not only that uncomfortable. TV was not working properly, had to call staff twice, and my husband was spoken to as if he was an idiot! Then there's the tiny bathroom with an even tinier shower..... dreadful! We had one of the worst nights in a hotel that we have ever had, we left by 7am on the Sunday morning, we voiced our concerns as we left, but they seemed to fall on deaf ears, complete disinterest. Awful!

my stay at westcliff wasent what I would do again. I was very upset with my stay .the toilet was dirty. the receptionist told me I had to eat my sandwich in the reseption or my room . I orderd my sandwich from your bar menue so I wasent happy. my last night I had a meal in your restaurant that was a nightmare. we were seated next to 3 very rude people swearing and making sexual coments I spent over 60pound that night it was a waste of my money.i did not enjoy my stay at all . thank you Karen harling

Sea view room clean and spacious good breakfast although the first morning we went down about 9am and most of it was only luke warm although it suited my husband I told the waiter who took it to warm up under grill. The following 2 mornings it was fine, The staff were all helpful and friendly. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant in evening very relaxed and very well presented.

The smell of the cleaner used in the bathroom ! also the tray with the tea coffee on was stained alongwith dust on the bedside lights.Just need a little more attention to detail.

Only roadside parking which was a problem and will only get worse. Our group of 5 had an evening dinner each having a different meal, all meals were very poor and expensive. Would not recommend eating there.

Liked everything, staff were friendly and very helpful. Food in the restaurant was good as was the service. All in all a great hotel and would stay there again.

Excellent location, very friendly staff Comfortable room

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Despite two weddings was quiet and had uninterupted sleep. was made to feel welcome despite the weddings. Will definately consider booking again.

Would like to have known about weddings before pre booking evening meal as was unable to get into restuarant till 8pm which was too late as had show booked for that time and had to eat in room.

Location to seafront Very helpful staff

Our 2 allocated double rooms were quite small but comfortable.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and interesting. The food was very good, and reasonably priced, as was the well stocked bar. Staff were always helpful.It had an excellent location for both views and proximity to the Westcliff/South-end-on-Sea area.

There were restricted parking facilities, which on a nice day, or bank holiday made it difficult to park near to the hotel. This was due to the fact that public parking is available on the road right outside the hotel, and thus no spaces for guests turning up at the 2.00pm check-in time.

Location was good as it was quiet in evening

The bed was very hard and so was pillows

we liked everything about the westcliff, excellent location, perfect for us. really clean, reception staff were so helpful and friendly, breakfast was very yummy indeed.

Spacious room, free parking, good food.

Noisy shouting by other guests during the night in the corridors. Would have preferred to have been placed on a floor without rowdy groups of men.

The hotel was lovley and clean, and i enjoyed my stay

Had a great stay at the hotel in a beautiful suite! We are already looking to come back for weekend away.

Parking was difficult. Had to park 4 streets away and walk back to the hotel

I loved the location as we were going to the Cliff Pavilion that night, the staff are friendly and helpful, Great bar Pete John and Jake were great, reception girls faultless we will definately be back as we want to come to some of the band nights.

Having to go home!
