Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly.
No hotel parking. Although there is lots of on street parking, there is lots of competition from others. It did seem to get better in late evening. I had to park some distance away, but was able to move nearer after about 6:00 pm.
the price, the bed, the tower, free accomodation in the bedroom like iron, hairdryer...
Lovely hotel will stay there again
Rooms Breakfast Location
Lift was small and stuffy and didn't like having to fiddle about with a card in order to use it.
Early check-in. Staff Co-operation.
Noise from adjoining room (paper thin walls). Small room. Slow breakfast replenishment.
Our room was fine, clean, comfortable, spacious with a large bathroom modern but only had over bath shower. The couple we travelled with had an older slightly tattier bathroom. The location is great a lovely walk through gardens to the seafront and restaurants. 5 minute flat walk to theatre which was the reason for our stay. The staff were all quite young, pleasant and worked hard. The restaurant was large, nicely decorated and comfortable. We only had breakfast but that was good. Menu for evening also looked good and varied.
Some places looked a bit tired, the outside garden did not look like it had seen the gardener or a hose for a while and considering there was a wedding going on I would have thought it should have been pristine. Hardly a large area to care for. The lift is small, 2 people and a case size, but was adequate. Parking only in the residential streets around the hotel which could be a problem if you arrived in the rain or in high season. A little overpriced but then you pay for the location.
Great location, food very good. Staff very good.
Carpet looked a bit shabby, only 1 bedside table(twin beds). Strange smell in room. Could have been from extractor fan outside window.
Staff, room, and Breakfast excellent
Lift to small and Access to romos difficult
Great location beautiful views from the room looking out over the gardens and water lovely breakfast helpful staff
Room on the small side
The tv's weird noises
The friendliness of the hotel, the large bedrooms and bathrooms, the view from the windows
The friendly staff and comfort of the hotel, food was very good and reliable restaurant staff. Everything was perfect, location was in easy reach of the beach and facilities.
There was nothing to dislike.
Location and cliff gardens.
Lift - very cramped.
Location, room decorations, breakfast
Wifi in all rooms that works
Meal options too pricey
Location, staff, food
Lack of allocated parking, no bar fridge, creaky floor boards.
Staff we're very friendly
Parking was a bit hit and miss.
This is a lovely hotel but being in Westcliffe means you have to walk up and down a big hill to get to the sea. There is a lift but that is a walk away from the hotel nearer to Southend. Having said that I would still highly recommend it as it is close to the theatre and very comfortable. They do a delicious ploughmans lunch which is a meal in its self.
Good size room, Great Location Nothing to complain about
Size of rooms
No car park
Westcliff is a lovely, clean, friendly hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and polite. Bedding and bathroom clean on arrival. Wide choice for breakfast.
Only a couple of of negatives. The view from our window was of next doors bedroom! Also the room was cold as it was at the back of hotel and radiators would not turn on!!
Breakfast was excellent. Great choice.
Getting a drink in the bar past 11pm proved difficult a few times. They hotel seemed to be understaffed.
