Good location next to train station and 5-10 mins walk from town
Upkeep of room poor. Hole in wall, toilet flushed once every 15 attempts. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together with hump in middle.
Being able to keep room until 11am after a late night previous.
Thought the price was too much really just for one nights sleep and no breakfast.
friendliness of staff and the quality of the evening meal
paying for the carpark
The location was handy for town centre. Staff were really friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was excellent value for money. Would definitely use again!!! Most enjoyable stay
The location in Chester is good, you can go by walk to the center. Front of the hotel building is nice. Room clean, little attention to the customer
Old rooms without sound isolation. The wifi isn't great, very slow without security Shower wasn't great
Close to centre of city of Chester, nice pub nearby on canal.
Bathroom old & dated
nearness to railway station and access to city
stair carpets worn wash room narrow
Staff were amazing and very helpful when i asked for a taxi or a razor and shaving gel. Will be back
breakfast was top quality good start to any day ..!!! well done
Helpful staff.. Cleanliness. Parking next door and bus stop outside.
A Best Western alliance hotel of good standard. It sits across from Chester railway station, about three minutes away, and a short walk into the city centre shops and the cathedral. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is mostly self service with a good selection.
Perhaps the bedroom could do with a lighter touch in furnishings. The bathroom lacked a shelf for toiletries.
Complained about the shouting coming from other rooms close to ours in the early hours of the morning from 3am till 7am!! Several other guests were heard asking the noisy guests to be quiet. The porter attended our room at 6.20am at which time shouting could still be heard.
friendly staff close to all ammenaties good value for money.
just a little bit noisy
Travelling by train this is an ideal location. Very near city centre. Reasonably priced hotel.
The room was a little dark. Light on all the time!
Clean and tidy
Don't bring a cat ! It's a compact double to say the least and is on the very noisy front street , double bed stuck in a corner. ! Jump across. !
Close to train station.
Comfy bed, location and breakfast all excellent.some parts of the hotel looked to have been refurbished to a good standard.
The room was in need of a revamp it looked old and outdated.Your photos on the web site looked completely different and moderne hence the reason we booked and paid a total of £146 for one night with breakfast.I have stayed in 5* hotels in Las Vegas and paid far less per night,so all in all I feel liked I have paid far to much for the sort break I took. Myself and my wife are looking to return in December to do a spot of Christmas shopping, and have had a price of £69 per person with, dinner ,breakfast and coach travel in holiday inn chester.we think that will be a far better sort break for our money. Next time I will think twice what I book and who I book with.
room temperature (no air con) smallest room ever
Very outdated Small room Expensive for what you get
1 minute walk to train statin and 7 minutes to city center
Internet was not working at a start and staff did really try to help with much. Though it started working later. Breakfast is not the best in town.
Very friendly reception staff. Bar food very tasty, with great service from the bar man.
Decent breakfast and efficient staff but something about breakfast is a little dull in this hotel. It needs brightening up, from the service through to the presentation. Not worth £10 for a full English, although 2 free drinks tokens helped soften the blow!
Good location, walking distance of town centre
Room very warm, no air conditioning or fan, lot of noise from kitchen fans with window open
just about everything, staff exceedingly helpful lovely evening meal in restaurant close to rail station and close to centre and canal/river walks couldn't have been happier
that breakfast is a set price ! only called in for breakfast once just cereal, toast coffee and juice ..went to pay turned out it was a set price even though i dint have the full english ,,wish they made this clearer
Staff very helpful and nothing to much trouble. Central to the town centre and train station. would stay here again
The bedrooms although comfy they could do with decorating.
