Staff were lovely. Very helpful!
Tired and in desperate need of a revamp! Bed linen and towels were very clean, but you could smell ingrained tobacco smoke throughout the room. Latch on windows broken!
The location was ideal for us as we were attending a concert literally around the corner, and very near to the station, a 5-10 minute walk into the town centre.
The bathroom in our room wasn't very clean, the toilet was particularly dirty! Not good.
The Hotel was comfortable with easy reasonable priced car parking and a short walk to the city centre.
Thought the hotel was a bit "chipped around the edges" but it suited our needs.
Position, we were at a conference at The Queen. The nearness of the car parking and reasonable price. Staff very friendly.
Very little window to open and that obscured by heavy curtain so room too hot.
Price Location Breakfast
Room standard for an executive room was poor The room smelled stale and needed decorating Furnishings were very worn
size of room bath large bed breakfast included large tv location near town
shower glass door dangerous noisy plug hole in sink door of bathroom constantly smashed into sink beautiful building Poor expensive parking
Having stayed in this hotel a few years ago I was a bit dissapointed with our room this time no. 124 which i found a bit cramped and the curtain was hanging off the rail. Think it could do with a bit of a facelift. Staff very helpful and friendly and breakfast was reasonable
Good location next to train station and 5-10 mins walk from town
Upkeep of room poor. Hole in wall, toilet flushed once every 15 attempts. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together with hump in middle.
Being able to keep room until 11am after a late night previous.
Thought the price was too much really just for one nights sleep and no breakfast.
friendliness of staff and the quality of the evening meal
paying for the carpark
The location was handy for town centre. Staff were really friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was excellent value for money. Would definitely use again!!! Most enjoyable stay
The location in Chester is good, you can go by walk to the center. Front of the hotel building is nice. Room clean, little attention to the customer
Old rooms without sound isolation. The wifi isn't great, very slow without security Shower wasn't great
Close to centre of city of Chester, nice pub nearby on canal.
Bathroom old & dated
nearness to railway station and access to city
stair carpets worn wash room narrow
Near train station, room was quite large and comfy bed.
States that the bar is open to residents after 11.00 but was told it was closed and did not offer any drinks until we asked, also room was not cleaned properly
Staff were amazing and very helpful when i asked for a taxi or a razor and shaving gel. Will be back
breakfast was top quality good start to any day ..!!! well done
Helpful staff.. Cleanliness. Parking next door and bus stop outside.
A Best Western alliance hotel of good standard. It sits across from Chester railway station, about three minutes away, and a short walk into the city centre shops and the cathedral. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is mostly self service with a good selection.
Perhaps the bedroom could do with a lighter touch in furnishings. The bathroom lacked a shelf for toiletries.
The location wasn't too far from the city centre.
• the room was dated. • window rattled constantly for 2 days. • stains on pillow cases and after and day of house keeping the stains were still on the pillows. • cracks in the bath. • only 2 members of staff were accommodating/helpful/polite. • marks all the walls. • pictures on the website were totally different to what we got. • rude staff at breakfast. • overpriced. • bulb out on the main light fitting. • overall we were very disappointed with the hotel but mainly at the rudeness of some members of staff.
Complained about the shouting coming from other rooms close to ours in the early hours of the morning from 3am till 7am!! Several other guests were heard asking the noisy guests to be quiet. The porter attended our room at 6.20am at which time shouting could still be heard.
friendly staff close to all ammenaties good value for money.
just a little bit noisy
Travelling by train this is an ideal location. Very near city centre. Reasonably priced hotel.
The room was a little dark. Light on all the time!
Clean and tidy
Don't bring a cat ! It's a compact double to say the least and is on the very noisy front street , double bed stuck in a corner. ! Jump across. !
