Pleasant staff and breakfast. Conveneint for station. The first night there was a disco right under our room with a loud thudding beat. We asked to be moved to another room or hotel but were told there was not any room available in Chester at 10pm. Instead we were told we would be given a good bottle of wine and be moved to a good suite for the next night. The wine we were given was only house wine and we had to endure the noise until midnight. No one should be put in that room if there is a disco on unless they are at the disco. The next night we were moved into a room of similar size- the only difference was trhat a chair was squeezed in and there was a flat screen tv and a better bathroom with a loo that flushed properly. Very disappointing. Atrocious pink and grey decor.Ugh! |

The location and price were good. very basic and christmas parties being held at the same time meant extra noise and no dining room facility in the evening. |

The hotel is in a good location for visiting Chester, shops and sightseeing. We had a really excellent breakfast. The shower worked well and the water was hot! We were given a very basic room on the third floor - a shame, but not a real problem; the bed was fine, but there was no room to move around it and the bathroom was distinctly sparten. A fan heater was in the corner - ominous sign - the radiator was temperamental. Also bedside lights did not work. We did mention these things and were told they would be fixed- after we left. |

My daughter and I were on a shopping/sightseeing weekend and this hotel is very central. The accommodation was good and the staff were very friendly. I thought the hotel car parking charges rather expensive at £8 per 24 hours. |

The room was far to warm and there was no adjustment on the radiator making the window the only option; subsequent external noise bad. |

The location into the city. As it was the party season the restaurant was closed, so missed out on the food. (except breakfast of course) |

Very comfortable large suite ideal for relaxing after Retail Therapy..! Lack of restaurant on our last night because of a large party booking, of which we were not made aware. However a discount on our bill was agreed. |

Although no car park at Hotel, the pub next door had adequate parking at a reasonable rate. Bathroom large and well lit. We had 2 peaceful nights sleep, no noise from hotel at all. Hotel staff not very friendly, room not ready when we arrived. Room smelt of cigar smoke and had no window, only a skylight and was very small. We would not have paid this price had we have known. Breakfast was plentiful but not always as hot as it could have been but loads of choice and service at breakfast was good. Wouldnt stay again. |

The location of hotel, the room and the breakfast was excellent. The fire alarm went off three times during our weekend stay, annoying especially early morning. |

Our twin room was ideal for our overnight stay, clean and comfortable, and a good breakfast. The parking, to charge £8 in your sister Hotel across the road i thought was unfair so we did not use it. |

Very convenient, helpful staff, well-appointed. Buffet breakfast very pleasant, and one could help oneself to exactly what one wanted. I ate in the restaurant, which was convenient and as good as going out to a restaurant in the town, with fair prices. Room a bit stuffy -- stale smell on entering which was easily cleared by opening the window. Mirror light in bathroom didn't work. |
