Horrible room. Creaking floor. staff was rude.
breakfast near station
basement bedroom, no window view, constant noise of a machine, people using the fire door as a smoking facility, tv in wrong place
Close to railway station.good bed.
Very slow service at dinner.Loo would not flush.no bulb in bedside light.no teaspoons at breakfast and in bedroom.
Everything from start to finish, the room was perfect, bed very comfortable. The breakfast was superb and the staff very helpful and friendly, in fact they could not do enough for you. Thank you for a lovely stay.
There was nothing not to like.
location fab near stTion n pubs
reception staff on check ou had no clue bit dizzy had to wait along time to check out .Bar area very dark .Was not offered breakfast .Expensive needs updating
The staff at the hotel are amazing and very friendly. I can't praise the customer service enough
There was no hotel car park, the room was dusty, badly in need of a revamp and I could hear everything going on outside. Sleeping was near enough impossible. I can honestly say that I won't even consider the hotel again and would never recommend it.
Great location. Breakfast was lovely. Lots of choice.
Rooms and bar area very dark. No toilet down stairs.
Staff were friendly and helpful .
Unfortunately room was adjacent to machinery which meant there was a constant background noise which became louder as various chillers etc switched on and off.
Helpful staff, great for the station and only a few minutes walk into town. Beds were really comfortable.
Located 100m from the railway station. Quite far from city centre though.
I was asked at the counter to pay 20 pounds higher per night than booked. Fortunately I remembered the price and insisted to double check.
Location for our needs
Shower not very efficient and sink taps not working properly
Friendly staff. Clean. Large modern refurbished bathrooms. Refreshments provided in room. Secure car parking nearby.
Great spacious bathroom!
The bed was lovely and spacious as a double but as it was two bed pushed together the gap inter middle was quite noticible and at times a touch uncomfortable!
General convenience to transport links, character of hotel, generally friendly helpful staff.
A small room next to stairway with noisy patrons. Needed earplugs.
Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable surroundings and value money.
Great location, very close to the train station. massive room and bathroom. the bathroom was very clean and lovely.
the wardrobe was a bit small and outdated. the bed was 2 singles joined together, so I could feel some lumps, although it was a large big mattress.
Walking access to Chester and just a few yards from the rail station. Pleasant staff.
It was fiddly to work out how to get the bath to run, rather than the shower - but hardly a big worry!
Good position. As we were going to races. Excellent breakfast
Staff on reception were very rude.
hotel is very handy for the town, pubs restaurants etc. Staff very friendly and helpful especially on reception. Good food and plenty of choice.
We had a room at the top of the hotel at the front. Needed updating especially the windows as it was very noisy at night.
Everything else, horrible rooms, disgusting smell everywhere, dirty tables at breakfest.
Following sleepless night one, staff organised an alternative room without quibbling and moved our stuff. Much nicer room, too.
First room overlooked an active building site that started around 0800. Chillers operated all night and around 0645 horrendous deep loud drone ran for 45 mins or so. This room should not be offered without warning of excessive noise. Second room involved arrival of laundry truck around 0300 with associated clattering and banging for some 20 mins.
beds were very comfy, quiet hotel, relaxing lounge bar,the girl on reception was Very very helpfull
nothing everything was fine
We are 3 mature ladies who wanted a good clean hotel not far from the city centre shops & bars, which is what we got. very clean room and bathroom and about a 10 min walk to the centre Although my friend who stayed in a singe room was not at all impressed with her room at its cost!
The room was lovely, decent size, clean and nice bathroom. I'd forgot to bring my face wipes so my boyfriend asked at reception where he could buy me some locally and the lady on reception was kind enough to give him some of her own in a little bag, thought it was very kind.
