The location was close to parking, was very good priced for a weekend visit.
Was quite a way out of chester city. Requested it as a birthday trip but got nothing extra not even a happy birthday which I was disappointed with as everywhere we have stayed before has.
The place needs a refresh and update. Very tired decor, creates the impression it's not very clean.
Location Breakfast was good lots of choice and kept replenished. Shower power was good with plenty of hot water
Needs a little updating, decore wise, ie bathrooms. Or a real good de-gunge.
It was just a place to stay and we had a cheap deal.
This place is average now,at one time not toolong ago,it was very good. The staff lack personality or pleasantness.Be aware that the parking arrangements are very poor. The hotel does not have its own car park and guests have to use a public one and have to be at the car park at 8am to put more money in the meter - no lie ins.
WiFi good. Close to station.
Wallpaper falling off wall in room. Requested ironing board which was filthy. Absolutely disgusting place. Stick to premier Inn you know what you are getting.
Great bed. location of hotel in relation to train station &city centre
staff seemed uninterested in the guest very little interaction
Location near to railway station. Comfort of bed.
Room was very small with old fashion decor & furnishings which looked very tired. Hand basin was in the bedroom & not the bathroom which did not have a shower! Bathroom was very basic with sliding door. No bedside light so had to switch of main light & get into bed in the dark. No double glazing on window so room was cold.
The staff tried hard
They couldn't find our booking, it wasn't on the system !!M
Friendly staff, excellent location, comfy room
there was no hot water for a shower, the bar had run out of Merlot, when we went back for a night cap the bar had run out of Bailey's
the location of the hotel is brilliant near the shops the breakfast was excellent the staff are very polite and try to help as much as they can
the problem we had was our room 307 from the start we encountered a problem with the heating the radiators didn't work after three attempts to fix it they finally gave us a heater it heated the room ok but the other problem we had was the smell in the room we could not find the cause until the next morning when we used the wash basin there was raw sewage coming up through the bath plughole I'm not the type to complain but I think that is disscusting as it made my wife sick and spoilt the weekend as my wife could not stop vomiting all the way home even the head housekeeper was disgusted with the smell I hope they sorted the problem out and not just put somebody else in there as it could make somebody ill
the breakfast was good and the library room was good
The bed was very comfortable. The tv was good nice choice of programmes. Very good location Nice staff
Wifi didn't work at all for us The shower was cold and held on by tape
Cleanliness Location Staff Free Wifi TV
Poor Wifi (on the first day, got much better)
Staff, service and value for money
No official car parking
Central location near railway station. Breakfast.
Room door very stiff, difficult to open and shut. No lamp on bedside table. No remote control for TV.
Very welcome unexpected room upgrade
room rather warm
Location Price Polite and helpful staff
The staff were helpfull & friendly The room was warm & clean The bathroom was spotless
We used the milk & coffee mugs on upr first morning but when we returned from a day out although the beds were made the coffee mugs hadn't been cleaned & I had to go to reception to ask for milk to use the following morning. I was given the option of taking milk upto my room then I& there but I was on my way out & was told collect it from the desk on my return at 10pm?
Location excellent, staff very helpful
Room was very dark need brighter lights. Room was far too hot during the night & couldn't turn radiator off as no nozzles. Toilet wouldn't flush on returning to the room after our meal which meant the toilet was making a constant noise through the night - we didn't tell reception until the morning as couldn't be bothered with all the messing around at 1am! Had a very poor nights sleep due to this and the heat off the radiator.
quality accommodation at a decent price
unclear "deal" on free drinks offer. when we booked, we sent a question asking for clarification which wasn't answered. we have stayed here previously and had several good all inc offers and so expected one of these but this wasn't to be :-(
Lovely room and breakfast was amazing... staff were great!!
Rooms far too hot!! Noisy, could hear everything from next door and outside. Rang and asked for robes to be in room and they wernt there and there was no acknowledgement of this upon arrival, eventhough it says oine they are available upon request! Said online that all rooms had DVD players so we got a film one night to find that there was no DVD player in the room!
After we had asked to be moved we were very happy staying in room 227. That is why I have only marked some of the survey as fair. This room would have been rated very good except the curtains don't quite close properly. Not good having people looking in from over the street. If we had been offered this room first I probably would have been willing to book again with Best Western.
I wouldn't have even paid £5 to stay in room 6 which is the first room we were given. The whole area these rooms are situated in feels claustrophobic and I would feel is a fire hazard as you don't know which way to turn with all the doors and different levels. The toilet almost overflowed with first flush. It had never seen cleaning fluid or bleach in its life! We didn't even unpack. I would not have washed a dog in the shower. The curtain was disgusting. The room was completely run down. Yes you are a big hotel chain. The rooms don't have to be completely modern but you have no excuse for not having them basic and clean. On this basis I would probably not book again with Best Western in case we are offered run down rooms in the future.
Location, short walk to town shops and bars etc.
nowhere to park, having to find a pay parking place.
Room was lovely, staff very pleasant,
Room was a bit dark but maybe due to energy saving bulbs
