Stayed here for our anniversary great value and all round nice hotel
Stayed here for one night and found the hotel although old was in good condition. Room was clean with a good bed and bathroom. Would definitely stay here again. Town centre was easily accessible on foot and if required there were a number of bars locally to have a drink or food. Breakfast was good with all the items you could want.
no-one from reception or security did nothing about the noise of other residents though the night our friends had no sleep all night people where arguing out side on landing all night reception must have heard it but nothing was done
The cleanliness of the room could have been better, very disappointed. The hotel in general is quite dated and is in need of an update!! Would not stay here again, though the location is good.
Close to railway. The location is very convenient to travel around the city.
The deco. It a bit scary. To dark i.e carpet and deco on the wall in the corridor.
Not a lot really nice building just ashame the room wasn't clean and maintained
Cold shower, tear in bed sheets, dirty kettle, rip in carpet! For price we paid just don't feel was good enough will definitely being staying elsewhere on next visit to Chester
Close to the train station, 15min walk in to town. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Good Wi Fi. Lovely little city, will plan to stay longer next time.
Some rubbish left in the room from previous customers
Location good. Handy for station and short walk from town centre Beakfast was good. Free drink in bar with breakfast purchase. Very clean comfortable room
Old and cramped single room.
thw staff were very helpful and p;easant
the rooms we booked were in the basement and the bathrooms were very poorly maintained crack in ceiling top of tap missing shower curtain old hot water tap in sink not working
Location nice hotel staff very nice and helpfull
It was very noisey workman banging I'm in process of sending a email noise was horrendous I wasn't informed that there was work getting done b4 8am
The location was perfect for what I needed as my staff party was being held just over the road.
I was outraged that at 8am me and my colleges staying where woken up by work going on outside one of our rooms and above my room so we couldn't sleep. We were also never told about this on our arrival.
The staff are excellent. The room is clean. The food is very good however it is limited choice. The location for the train station is ideal however it is a good walk into the city centre.
There is no off street parking.
the location was very convenient to the railway station,. Reception staff very pleasant
The room was on the chilly side. The bathroom needs updating. The double bed had two single mattresses of different heights pushed together which was a little uncomfortable but the bedding was clean.
10 minute walk to centre of Chester, convenient for shops, sightseeing and restaurants. Very friendly staff, excellent self service buffet breakfast.
Only room with a shower cubicle which I required after an operation, but the shower head wouldn't stay in the fixing, had to use hand held. Only one cup in the room for two people and no spoon.
bed room to hot room tatty /pokey
Good location & Price, Nice en-suite room, Helpful staff
Thestaff were very obliging and helpful, food was first class and the bar was not overpriced.
Lovely bathroom Maid service was good. Refreshments replenished and plenty
Receptionist on arrival not very helpful. Didn't point out hotel 'facilities'. And didn't know surrounding bus stops! No hooks in bedroom/bathroom to hang clothes. couldn't open curtains due to position of dresser.
Food in the restaurant was good Staff very friendly and helpful
Toilet was very cramped The rooms decoration could have been smarter.
We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The pub up the road very convenient as I had only booked rooms. Wish I had booked with the Hotel direct as it may have included breakfast. Good location and we managed with the parking around the area. Décor good.
Told we had an executive room but did not find it so, no room for our suitcase even though we had a stand for it. Television not working that well, also trouble flushing loo.
The location is very good for railway, town.and bus connections to wales. The breakfast is brilliant. This was our 3rd visit to Chester and used this hotel each time.
Friendly warming staff. Clean, quiet and the location was excellent
Slight leak in the shower made it a little damp in the bathroom.
Building site at back of property, at least was quiet until 8.30.charged to park at sister hotel
