NIce surprise that the The Family room has a separate room for the 2nd bedroom - kids loved that and so did we. The hotel just seemed like they really cared, lots of freebies and little extras like both filter and instant coffee was a nice touch. The staff are really friendly and having only a small number of residents meant that they had the time to help.

Great room - India - so comfortable. Extras like lovely shower Products and real ground coffee. All staff were very friendly and accommodating. Menu choice - there were some unusual recipes which shows an interest in providing something different. But possibly a few more standard meals might be better choice We got an upgrade on arrival but unfortunately there was no bath though room was fab

This hotel is set in beautiful surroundings, lovely country walks just outside the grounds. The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable as was the rest of the hotel. We menu in the bar/restaurant was very good. All the staff we met were very helpful, polite, relaxed and very customer focused. All this made for a happy relaxed stay. Not able to turn the radiator on, slightly chilly.

We tried to follow the directions from booking.com, and they were terrible. Went wrong immediately leaving the airport and it didnt get better. When we eventually we arrived, after taking nearly an hour and a half for a less than 1/2 hour trip. We were told the kitchen was closing, but they would keep it open for an extra 5 minutes for us. It was only 8.30 pm!! The menu was very limited and the food lless than average. The breakfast however was good and well cooked. The hotel was very tired and could do with some refurbishment.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location. The radiators and waterworks click and tap on the top floor. A bit disturbing in the middle of the night.

We came for a weekend break and really enjoyed our stay. We were met by a warm, comfortable atmosphere, welcoming and friendly staff in a superb countryside location. Our room was very clean and comfy, and the food is delicious - particularly the enormous breakfasts which set us up for a day of cycling and walking in the New Forest. All in all I highly recommend The White Buck Inn and we'll definitely be returning.

I was pleasantly surprised by how grand it was when we arrived, and in such a nice location right in the middle of the New Forest with great links to the many paths across the Forest. They were very accomodating and managed to squeeze us in for lunch at late notice on mothers day, which was very nice The breakfast was o.k but could have been a bit better organised, other than that nothing bad to say it was great and would happily visit again

The room was lovely, but the food in the restaurant was terrible. Over cooked meat on both meals, and mash was cold and lumpy Great location to explore the new forest

The staff here are a major asset. Mostly young, they are extremely helpful and polite. The room (Indian Spice Room) was spacious, looked lovely, the bed was comfortable and it all looked set for a perfect stay until we tried sleeping in it... We ate in the restaurant in the evening; we both enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent. Breakfast was ok, perfectly acceptable for the price we paid. I would recommend this hotel but I might suggest a different room and to bring your own pillows! Unfortunately the room was stifling, we could not turn the radiators off and had all the windows open all night in a vain effort to cool it. The pillows were like flat bricks and I hate to think how old they were. For the sake of £20 for a new set I cannot understand why they haven't been replaced, as they make a major difference in the ability to sleep. The flask of fresh milk that I was expecting from other reviews has been replaced by the dreaded punnets of uht, but then to be fair, nothing else was promised!

The room was excellent. However the decor downstairs was delapadated and the cooked breakfast was poor. It did not even have all the elements on the plate as stated in the menu. Coffee was luke warm and ad to keep asking for more coffee and sweetners as none immediately available as I am diabetic!!

Very friendly staff; warm, welcoming and helpful. The room was a fairly small attic room but it had bags of charm. Loved the open fires in the dining area, though they could have been stoked up a bit more. Wonderful to wake up in such a peaceful location. It feels like a well loved hotel, but its a little tired in places. It just needs a bit more attention to tidy it up a bit and make it a fabulous venue.

The White Buck Inn was excellent. It was an ideal setting for a relaxing break in a very 'English' setting. A roaring fire, great food, very friendly staff and super room with lots of character. We loved it ! Location was also superb, being close to Burley (great village) and some fantastic walks.

Great location and nicely furnished rooms and dining/bar area. Great atmosphere and facilities for a family are ideal. Professionalism of staff needs a little work, dessert order was forgotten and general demeanor towards customers would help make this a fantastic place to stay.

“Have known of hotel for years and the exterior has sometimes looked a little tired. I was pleasantly surprised by the internal decor etc. The staff were very helpful. Our rooms were excellent - far better than in much more expensive hotels in the area.Breakfast, again, was excellent. The swimming pool was certainly large enough for family to enjoy. Situated in the lovely New Forest with plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Would definitely stay there again and liked the reduced price I paid.” Lynn, Nash |
