Wonderful location and decor
The location is fab and it is nicely decorated but at £160 for a double room (junior suite) it wasn't good value for money for a 3 star.
Staff were friendly but breakfast was overlooked and service very poor especially as only 6 of us in the restaurant!
The hotel was lovely and an ideal location for looking round Lincoln.
Breakfast needed to be more organised and flow better. I appreciate it was busy as the hotel was full following a wedding the previous day but presumably this is a regular occurrence at this hotel. Customers were served out of sequence or left for long periods of time without menus or the tea/coffee they had ordered.
Great location, clean, tidy room, lovely breakfast
Bigger tv please Couldn't find if there was any wifi
The hotel has a spectacular location in the "Bail" area of the centre of Lincoln cathedral area. The room was spotless, roomy and comfortable. We had dinner in the grille, and it was one of the finest meals we have experienced, the fillet Wellington for two was just delicious! In addition the breakfast was great too and the staff were lovely. We will definitely return for a longer stay
No bad experience, our stay was perfect.
Sited adjacent to the cathedral and a number of interesting shops and restaurants. Only a short walk down to the main high street.
The room "suite" was poor value. Also, the (1990's) TV was not tuned and the bathroom door had to be slammed to shut it properly. Staff pleasant but badly in need of decent training for an hotel which places itself in this price range.
Comfortable bedroom as we purchased upgraded room
Although our fault for arriving early we just needed to leave our suitcase until room accessible just as a coach load full of visitors arrived and were dealt with rather abruptly.
The location. The room was comfortable. The staff were lovely and very professional. Having a car park was a major bonus.
Nothing - it was great.
Lovely spacious room with fantastic view of the cathedral. Breakfast was lovely.
The best location for the City centre
A little down at heel.
Location! We could touch The Cathedral!! The stay was for a wedding! Amazing!!!
Stayed here for my friend's wedding New Years Eve. Beautiful hotel. Good location. Staff were friendly. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was nice.
The bathroom was a bit dated and the breakfast took a long time to be served, but I think that is only because it was NYE and very busy.
Location,Lincoln ideal for my daughters graduation
Room was good but at a £150 a night very expensive TV lost signal no dressing gowns in room
comfort and general appearance very good
Car park is described as 'on-site' when it is across the road so had to drive round the block because I missed the small sign on the side of the hotel!
Friendly staff. A lovely hotel for a few days' R&R.
Roller blind banging against Venetian blind during windy night - windows left on vent - had to investigate at 5am! Creaking bathroom floor - v loud. Needed more choice on breakfast buffet.
Clean room, free automatic wifi.
Room was £75 with no breakfast included.
Comfortable, clean and convenient
Nothing really negative to say. Bit expensive for a one-night hotel stay but a great experience had
Perfect setting, shops and eateries around Bailgate are brilliant. Our room had a lovely view of the majestic cathedral. This has become an annual trip for us - it gets us in the Christmas mood.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was ideal for our needs and comfortable. Excellent cocktails in the bar with friendly bar staff before we headed out for the evening, and a delicious breakfast the following morning. Good parking facilities considering the central location.
As we were in the annex I appreciate that it was some distance from the boiler we needed to run the water for 10 minutes before it became hot. This was explained on a notice in the room and it didn't cause a problem, however felt it was not eco-friendly.
Great Bar staff, great cocktails & service, especially the strawberry dip recommended.
Historic hotel, modernised with friendly staff.
Restaurant staff friendly but inefficient. Dirty plates and cold tea at breakfast. No one followed up my feedback form. Nonetheless I would still recommend this hotel for those prepared to live with the above.
Food was quite nice
Very miserable and unfriendly staff
We had room 255. Loved it the fireplace the decor the walk in wardrobe and especially the bathroom. Very cosy! Able to alter heating too
TV rather small and bad reception. Stronger bin liners!
