In the centre of the cathedral quarter, this hotel offers old fashioned elegance, a refined ambience, good food and service, and friendly staff.

The White Hart Hotel proudly sits midway between the medieval cathedral and the imposing walls of Lincoln Castle. There have been hostelries on this site even before King Richard II gave the hotel its insignia of a white hart in 1372.

This is a perfect hotel at which to have a few days away from it all. Historic sites are within easy walking distance, including the city's magnificent 11th century cathedral, its Norman castle and the cobbled streets of Bailgate.

The hotel offers a diverse range of accommodation, from standard rooms to suites. The rooms are elegant and many have antique furniture. Some have views of the cathedral.

Area information

The hotel is in the centre of the historic area of the city, surrounded by small boutiques, galleries, antiquarian book shops as well as second hand and new ones. There are antique shops, and a short distance away is one of England’s largest antique centres. Golf courses and even a race course are nearby.

The hotel is 30 minutes from the A1 and the M180, and one hour from Hull ferry terminal.

Its character and location, close to the Cathedral and Castle in the old town. The naming of the rooms after past Bishops of Lincoln was so much in character. The staff were most friendly and helpful.

The trendy restaurant with hard surfaces everywhere was noisy and it was difficult to have a conversation with my partner without shouting. We ate out after the first night, although the food on that night was good and well presented.

the location is perfect for seeing all the main sites of lincoln and plenty of information in hotel to help see all attractions in the locallity

The noise in the hotel up to 12:30am was appalling, there was obviously a function on but as a paying guest this should have been made aware.

Friendly helpful staff, very good breakfast. Excellent location close to all the main attractions but quiet as well.

No lifts - room was hard to find at first and woud not have been suitable for people who had mobility problems.

Our booked room was rather alr-less and noisy (due to bar noise below) - and we asked for another room and the staff were extremely obliging, in fact offered us an upgrade.
