Spacious room, clean linen, tea and coffee facility, lift to all floors
Noise. Did not sleep well. Although having non-smoking rooms, the room smelled strongly of stale smoke. Bathroom needed refurbishment, carpet and bed stained
Staff friendly. Good location. Pub next door selling reasonably priced food.
Location was perfect for us; the staff were friendly and helpful; breakfast was great value for money. Once a 'complaint' (mattress) was given to staff, it was addressed immediately. We will stay here again.
The mattress felt like we were going to fall off it all the time during our first night as it was so soft / flimsy and we asked for it to be changed. It was changed very quickly.
Was not clean and stanes on the sheets
Noisy! Got a very poor nights sleep due to doors banging constantly during the night. Wasn't comfortable with the policy of having to hand your key in to reception every time you left the building.
Friendly staff, easy parking, good wifi Good price for room. Pub with food 20 foot away
very noisy with window open all through the night, main road with hgv's at traffic lights. Only small piece of soap in bathroom. very 70's feel
Dirty room, bad smells, thin walls, terrible bed.
Everything was fine, I have no complaints.
THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND TIDY WITH ALL THE AMENITIES YOU WOULD NEED. THE BED WAS COMFY AND HAD PLENTY PILLOWS.
THE HAIR DRYER IN THE BATHROOM, AND THE TELEVISION WAS RATHER SMALL
Lodge is in a quiet area to enjoy a peaceful sleep.after a long journey - easy access to & from the major Roads in all directions

Exterior appearance shabby. Traffic noise.

A good value for money overnight stay, pub next door for a good meal. Easy access to the hotel from the A1.All in all a good budget hotel.
The staff were very friendly and the pub next door is friendly cheap and serves good food. Was close to Darlington and Aycliffe which was what we needed .
Furnishings are dated and the bathrooms could do with a complete refurbish . We had 4 rooms and all bathrooms needed updating .
The staff were so helpful and accommodating to my every need and I stayed regularly and was made to feel so comfortable no question was left unanswered and the staff so approachable I felt comfortable to ask for anything well done to everyone
I can't think of anything I didn't like
Good location for touring Yorkshire moors and dales. Good pub serving great value food next door. Very quiet, no disturbance at all.
Difficult to see sign for lodge until you pass it. Option of full breakfast would have been a bonus.
It was straight-forward and hassle-free. The breakfast was quite good.
The room smelled like old, cronic cigarrette smoke. Not like someone had just smoked in it, but more like people used to smoke in the room in the past and to old smell doesn't go away no matter how much you clean it.
David, on reception, was very pleasant and efficient. The he outside of the hotel was a bit offputting, being next to a boarded up building. Inside, the accommodation was good and it was outstanding value for money,
Being next to a boarded up building. There was no hot food available, but the adjacent pub was very good and incredible value for money.
The price was good and even better as it's close to a resturant
the first room we were given bathroom ceiling leaking, and smelt terrible, room no.2 had thick black mold round bath, would not recomend to anyone.
