continental breakfast okay and reasonably good value.
Front room very noisy. No shower gel in room. Bathroom old and as a result not very clean. Bed uncomfortable and not made properly I had to get up in night to tuck sheet in to stop myself from lying on the plasticised mattress. p
staff were very friendly and helpful, we were allowed to check in early, comfortable beds, dressing table and a mirror which was helpful getting ready, powerful shower, great value for money, will defo stay again :)
Near A1(M). Dog-friendly. Nice eatery next door.
Very easy to find from A1. Rooms were well equiped beds comfy, shower was very hot, quiet location, good nights sleep. For the price this was a very nice little hotel.
Minor detail, coudln't find out how to open the window further.
Not a lot!
Staff very friendly Easy parking W-fi a bonus
That would be picky For the price you could not ask for more.
Had two rooms both beds and pillows awful
Decent shower and hot water.
Bathroom had cracked sink, toilet and bath had been damaged and painted over. Very noisy with guests and traffic. Although supposedly non smoking hotel smelled of smoke, including our room.
The price and the staff. Rooms were also good value for money, clean and comfortable.
Nothing really, the lift wasn't working while we were there, however there are only three floors and the exercise was good for me, but my mother struggled. (Shouldn't smoke!!)
The location close to A1 and excellent price
No real problem but just a little dated but on balance not bad
The room has a bad tobacco smell. Bathroom has bad smell. Carpet stinks. The whole place smells bad. I can't believe there a hotel like this in England . They need to change the carpet and provide air refresher .
I was there on business for one night it was cheap with good public transport into Darlington all so a nice pub next door with reasonably priced food the room was very old fashioned but clean and tidy
On arrival the houses around were all boarded up and did not look nice , they had a fridge in reception where they sold cans of pop and bars of chocolate which is handy but the prices they charged was rediculous
A great welcome when we arrived and fantastic value. Spotlessly clean and the room very adequate with everything one needed. Dinner at the adjoining pub was also incredible value. Two main courses, a Coke and a pint of John Smith all for less than ten pounds. In conclusion, absolutely excellent.
Room smelt of smoke General feel of budget price hotel
location for family visit
there was nothing too bad - would use this hotel again
Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and although the furniture was a little dated, it was comfortable and very clean.
Made us very welcome.was an ideal location for where we were visiting various relatives. Staff very friendly and helpfully at breakfast.
reasonably priced, easy to find and comfy beds
smell along corridor and our toilet had a crack in it
Needs to be updated. X
very clean and basic as expected as we just needed somewhere to sleep, very friendly staff who were happy to chat and give information on the area, fridge in reception with drinks and snacks to buy and an excellent pub next door with great food.
the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, there was on odour in the bathroom as if there was a burst pipe under the floor
noisy slamming doors
Not very much. The breakfast waitress was very pleasant and helpful as was one of the receptionist male.
Furniture vans parked in the disabled bays for the full week day and night. Could not get my wheel chair into the bathroom as the door too narrow. I asked for a wheel chair access room. There was a disabled room but that was on floor one. The lift was and had been out of action for sometime. Still the booking was taken and charged even though it was known that disabled could not get to the first floor. My wife and I came to Darlington to celebrate our 25 years marriage. But have come back more tired and need a good rest after this terrible week away.
The location is good, value for money.
Not the cleanest place and very tired looking inside. Served a purpose, but only just.
Price and location to our chosen venue. Breakfast room was good and clean.
Very outdated furniture.Beds were very worn.springs felt in both mattresses so very uncomfortable.Light on wall didnt work.electric socket unusable, television remotes didnt work ( tried 3 different and brand new ones),no toilet paper at start or any shampoo or shower cream.Towels inadequate for shower..had to ask for 2 more ..also small..Breakfast minimal..
