Clean, fresh room. Good location for sights. Breakfast was spot on! Friendly hostess.

Not really a dislike but would've preferred a shower over a bath.

Everything about our stay was just great. A warm welcome, good clean rooms, large bath towels. The best home cooked breakfast ever. Helen Mulholland was just great as a B&B host, just the girl for the job. We wanted to stay longer, but no rooms available, so alas we headed home. Would certainly recommend, to any one travelling to Scotland or the Lakes.

Ummmmm Cannot think of anything we would change

We were made to feel very much at home with provision for us to access our room immediately. The bed was simply wonderful after more than 24 house in transit. Our hostess was a great First Lady!

Everything. Helen was a lovely host and very friendly and gave us loads of local tips. Our room was amazingly comfortable, more so than my own home, and spotlessly clean throughout the entire house. Helen also did a vegan breakfast for me including sausages, mushrooms, bean, tomato, toast and almond milk, which was delicious. Clifton is a beautiful village with a very nice local pub which does great food and ale too. We were camping the following night and oh how we missed the "cloud beds". Thanks Helen!

We liked the location. We were travelling between Manchestet and Fife. Perfect halfway stop. Walking distance to pub. Even though no-one home on our arrival (we knew in advance) lovely welcome note and key to room. Great breakfast. Nice chatting to owner.

Very clean, bright, airy room. Comfortable beds. Beautiful large fluffy white towels ! Hot chocolate in rooms for children. Sweetners (often omitted in many places ) and decent tea and coffee on hospitality tray. Lovely outdoor seating in well maintained gardens. Quiet location with open views over countryside. Plenty of parking. Wonderful greasefree breakfast. Very welcoming host who couldn't do enough to ensure our comfort.

    Leaving !!!

Room was fine , big with nice view.

Felt all was measured to keep costs to minimum. For example for this price basic breakfast with only one fruit . Location was poor for local eating to walk to , only one was booked and expensive. Would not use this again . over priced.

A very clean comfortable and spacious room in a very quiet but convenient location.

Can't think of anything more serious than that it would have been nice to have had some biscuits on the drinks tray.

Fantastic breakfast, very comfy beds and lovely location

Only minor, would have been great to have a fixed shower over the bath, rather than a hand held shower.

An extremely clean guest house in a very convenient location especially for the Lowther estate. Helen the proprieter was very helpful and offered an excellant service. Although relatively expensive we still believed it was good value. The room was very clean and we had the use of a lounge. The breakfast choice was reasonably good although on our first morning we had to be down for breakfast by 8am. The following day we had a choice upto 9am which we chose

    Limited times for breakfast
