Breakfasts had a good choice of fare. Staff were very accommodating.

Hospitality was fantastic, we stayed for 2 nights and they were lovely and really happy to help, nothing was a bother. Rooms were very clean and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend to friends.

staff mr.jason is very helpful and do everything quickly. all facilities are perfect and clean. the location is not so good due to far from town center.

Lovely traditional building sensitively brought up to modern standards with very attractive gardens. Welcome is very friendly and helpful with a much appreciated freshly brewed coffee on arrival. Parking is easy and convenient. Breakfasts are a real treat!

We chose a small room for budget reasons and it was a bit cramped, especially in terms of access to the bathroom.

the staff is very helpful. beautiful view out of the window. everything is perfect except it is a little bit far from the town centre. however, if you enjoy a short walk in windermere it is the best choice.

Everything. Room large and comfortable. Location of hotel good for short walk into Windermere town (slightly uphill). Met by Anthony with tea and coffee, gave plenty of advice on restaurants and days out. Very friendly. Plenty of parking. Hope to visit again soon.

has a nice relaxing feel.we were made to feel very welcome. hotel was warm with spacious rooms, and a cumfy bed. very quiet location,and only 5 min drive to the lake. sandra and i fully recommend this hotel, and will stay again.

Great location, only takes less than 10mins to walk to the the Town Centre and less than 5min drive to Bowness-on-Windermere. The room we stayed in is clean and the lady who cleans the room and replenishes the tea is very sweet. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Lake District.

Poor sound insulation means the noise from other rooms, toilets flushing, showers running etc. is too intrusive

Very nice and clean Guest House, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave always made to feel very welcoming. The owners well always willing to help and advise on where is best to go and things to do.

The quality of hotel was excellent as was the standard of service. The owner (Anthony) could not be more helpful and really made you feel welcome.

We couldn't get the sound on Channel 4! But other than that, the stay was faultless.

Location and comfort

Excellent location only about 10 minutes walk into town for bars, restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and warm, with tea and coffee facilities and toiletries. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and well cooked. Most enjoyable.

Bathroom needs to be refurbished.

We liked the friendly reception we received, and very helpful on what to do and where to go . We will like to stay there again

Nothing we did not like

The staff worked very hard and were always pleasant, very helpful . The rooms were very clean and well looked after. although we did not have much time to go into the garden, they were very well kept . The actual situation of the hotel was ideal if you did not want to use your car, as the buses to Keswick, Grasmere,Ambleside etc. just stopped a few yards down the road. A great cosy hotel with no faults. Also good breakfasts. Only wish we had more time there.

Breakfast was very good. Staff friendly. Location good. Fair size car park.

Wireless reception very poor. Impossible to get connection from room. Could only get a poor connection from the lounge. Mobile phone signals poor but this is true of many parts of the Lake District and not the hotels fault.
