Service and staff behavior clean comfortable
small rooms but really value for money and with some character. So all good
Narrow and soggy single beds
The staff were fantastic and the lodging exceeded our expectations! We ate dinner at the pub twice because it was so good. The breakfast is fantastic. Our room was very clean and met all of our needs.
Meals were excellent. Had breakfast and dinner both days of stay. Near to Stourhead for walks and Bradford-on-avon for cream teas.
Wifi and mobile signal strength were not strong
THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD,AND DINNER WITH FRIENDS WAS EXCELLENT VALUE.
SLOPING FLOORS,FELT AS THOUGH I HAD DRUNK MORE THAN I DID!! ALSO HAD TO GET OUT OF BED TO SWITCH TV OFF,
the food. the staff . the bar .where situated
bed too small. pillows too hard
The price of rooms and food was very reasonable, staff where friendly and welcoming. fairly busy daytime but at night time it was very quiet pub was always empty by 10pm. but that on the plus side made sleeping very good and nice and quiet if you needed an early night.
The size of our room was really small we couldn't put our clothes in the wardrobe due to the doors hitting you because the bed was so close. The bathroom was big and spotlessly clean. bit slow on taking breakfast orders but otherwise very helpful and polite staff.
Breakfast was excellent and water was hot.
Room no.3 rather exposed to the outside world.
Staff were very helpful, Rooms were excellent, Breakfast was fantastic, worth the money. We will be coming back :-)
Very helpful friendly staff ,breakfast excellent
Room bit tired but adequate.
This is a lovely pub with a good, very reasonably priced menu and friendly staff
We were at the top of the hotel. My husband is over 6ft and couldn't stand up straight in the shower or use the loo. The room is clean as long as you don't look too closely in the corners at the dust! Breakfast was not very organised on the second day. My husband got and finished his before mine arrived!
The staff were friendly and accommodating, breakfast was fantastic and the food in the bar was also good. The room was perfectly clean and in good condition.
Great staff and food, including a large choice at breakfast. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great price too!
The woolpack is a decent little pub in the village of beckington near frome. The accommodation was comfortable and homely. The cleanliness could have been paid more attention. We had room 10 right at the top. Beware of low beams! Wasn't a problem for us as we are both quite short. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking wasn't a problem carpark full roadside easy enough. Breakfast was plentiful and the choice was great. Ideal for longleat which is where we were headed. Also close to Bath which we squeezed in Sunday evening :)
Food stopped serving at 9pm. We were hungry at 9.30 and nothing else around for food. Cleaning could be more thorough. Behind sink in bathroom, beams and rads.
Lovely full English breakfast and good variety of other options. Evening meal in bar was amazing well worth the money. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Very friendly and welcoming.
Only real fault if I had to find one was the bathroom in the room needed updating and better deep clean. Otherwise whole experience was enjoyable. Would stay again if in the area.
Staff went out of their way to help you. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the breakfasts delicious . Following a four night stay at the wool pack , I had 2 nights at the 4 star palace hotel in Buxton , which was no where near as pleasant .
excellent location, great meals and a bar with real locals
Bathroom a bit dated Wifi and mobile phone connection not great
Excellent meal value...brilliant breakfast
Abit noisy if windows open and too warm if closed
Room was very small and shower suitable for only a very short person. Weather was hot and room therefore uncomfortably warm as it had only a tiny window.
Food and service apart from the bar
Excellent location in a small village we were visiting for a memorial service at the local church. Easy to walk around the village and meet a few locals. Good food, including service. Friendly staff. Charming atmosphere even after England was losing its chance to advance in the World Cup.
I am 6" 4" tall. We ended up in a gable room (#11) where the sloping roof/ceiling only allowed me to stand up in the centre of the room. This created a serious problem with using the shower; there was about one foot of space where I could fully stand up.
staff and building location, very pretty
Parking a bit limited but room smelt very musty/damp
Not too far from Stonehenge and Longleat; excellent value for money; superb old features; delicious breakfast; quiet location; friendly local people and hotel staff;
We couldn't get in for a second night - fully booked - too popular.
The staff were excellent, especially Becky who was very helpful. The bed in my room was very comfortable and the shower was excellent.
The lack of net curtains in my room (no 2) meant that I had a lack of privacy and little sunlight as I couldn't really open my curtains.
location good for visiting bath, food good basic pub fare, good value.staff good.
car park always full, no reserved parking place had to park on nearby roads. Bit to much noise in room from road outside. Decor was a little tired .Room was a bit small and noise from floorboards from other rooms above.
