Very friendly, helpful staff, excellent location. Breakfasts very good.
The bar closes too early!
Excellent breakfast and evening meal.
Bathroom needs an update.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good food. Good value for money
Lovely location in small village. Good evening meal Good breakfast
Poor Wi Fi in all rooms other than bar, not great for business travellers.
I liked the location and character of the hotel and village and also its closeness to Bath. I found the manager and staff friendly and helpful and the food of good quality, especially the breakfast. I liked the fact that there was tea making facilities and biscuits of a nice quality and that the tv worked. I also liked that the manager installed an extra bed in the room, tried to contact me by phone to explain the room was going to be a little cramped and remembered everything when we checked in. This was all done at very short notice. Well done!!!
This is a small comment and didn't detract from our experience - the food service in the bar needs to be sharpened up a bit. My son (who has a broad experience of work in hospitality) thought the service was a little slow. Here's an example : On our second day, when we were waiting to order, the waitress first cleaned a nearby table, did a few other necessary jobs and then about 5 mins later took our order. Wrong way (or so I'm told) : Take the order, get a drink in the hand of the customer and then clean up (she was always working anyway - to be fair). That's all!!
The position of the B and B was perfect for the places we wished to visit. Nice to be able to pop into the bar and get something to eat. Breakfast good, plenty of choice and nicely cooked.
We were in the top room which was a tight stairway and getting the cases up was difficult with no offer of help for us oldies. The room is only just big enough it had no chairs, had to use the bed to read. Comfortable bed
Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff.
A lovely inn in a lovely quiet village and situated in a good area for bus route to Bath....loved it
Service and staff behavior clean comfortable
small rooms but really value for money and with some character. So all good
Narrow and soggy single beds
The staff were fantastic and the lodging exceeded our expectations! We ate dinner at the pub twice because it was so good. The breakfast is fantastic. Our room was very clean and met all of our needs.
Meals were excellent. Had breakfast and dinner both days of stay. Near to Stourhead for walks and Bradford-on-avon for cream teas.
Wifi and mobile signal strength were not strong
THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD,AND DINNER WITH FRIENDS WAS EXCELLENT VALUE.
SLOPING FLOORS,FELT AS THOUGH I HAD DRUNK MORE THAN I DID!! ALSO HAD TO GET OUT OF BED TO SWITCH TV OFF,
the food. the staff . the bar .where situated
bed too small. pillows too hard
The price of rooms and food was very reasonable, staff where friendly and welcoming. fairly busy daytime but at night time it was very quiet pub was always empty by 10pm. but that on the plus side made sleeping very good and nice and quiet if you needed an early night.
The size of our room was really small we couldn't put our clothes in the wardrobe due to the doors hitting you because the bed was so close. The bathroom was big and spotlessly clean. bit slow on taking breakfast orders but otherwise very helpful and polite staff.
Breakfast was excellent and water was hot.
Room no.3 rather exposed to the outside world.
Staff were very helpful, Rooms were excellent, Breakfast was fantastic, worth the money. We will be coming back :-)
Very helpful friendly staff ,breakfast excellent
Room bit tired but adequate.
This is a lovely pub with a good, very reasonably priced menu and friendly staff
We were at the top of the hotel. My husband is over 6ft and couldn't stand up straight in the shower or use the loo. The room is clean as long as you don't look too closely in the corners at the dust! Breakfast was not very organised on the second day. My husband got and finished his before mine arrived!
The staff were friendly and accommodating, breakfast was fantastic and the food in the bar was also good. The room was perfectly clean and in good condition.
Great staff and food, including a large choice at breakfast. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great price too!
The woolpack is a decent little pub in the village of beckington near frome. The accommodation was comfortable and homely. The cleanliness could have been paid more attention. We had room 10 right at the top. Beware of low beams! Wasn't a problem for us as we are both quite short. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking wasn't a problem carpark full roadside easy enough. Breakfast was plentiful and the choice was great. Ideal for longleat which is where we were headed. Also close to Bath which we squeezed in Sunday evening :)
Food stopped serving at 9pm. We were hungry at 9.30 and nothing else around for food. Cleaning could be more thorough. Behind sink in bathroom, beams and rads.
Lovely full English breakfast and good variety of other options. Evening meal in bar was amazing well worth the money. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Very friendly and welcoming.
Only real fault if I had to find one was the bathroom in the room needed updating and better deep clean. Otherwise whole experience was enjoyable. Would stay again if in the area.
Staff went out of their way to help you. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the breakfasts delicious . Following a four night stay at the wool pack , I had 2 nights at the 4 star palace hotel in Buxton , which was no where near as pleasant .
