Swimming pool and gym looked a bit tired. Had to complain at 11pm because the noise from the function rooms was really bad, reception said a lot of people had complained and we should have been told when we booked in. Noise went on till after 12midnight.

The food in the restaurant was rather routine - and no muesli at breakfast. As always in hotels, no decent beer.

The standard double we booked was clean and fairly large. The window overlooked an internal roof top and that was unattractive- fencing had fallen down and the view was merely of aircon units and other windows.

I would prefer scrambled eggs in the breakfast buffet. I could only see fried eggs on offer.

The location is perfect for a short trip to Worcester, especially if travelling by train. It is across the road from train station.

The seagulls can be quite noisy, not sure I'd park a car there.

hotel is tired. our guests were given a room for people with disabilities. It was dark, dingy and depressing. We had to up-grade.

Great location. Handy for Railway Station and centre of Worcester It is an 'old' building but is very well maintained. Nice 'old world' feel to the room. Very good staff/service. Super restaurant service for Breakfast.. Did not have dinner or lunch for reasons shown under 'what we did not like.'

1) Listening, because of a connecting door, to the man in the next room arguing with his wife on the phone, then.. A little later.. Hearing him also argue but this time with his girlfriend. 2) Charges for Internet! (We went to restaurants in town that gave it free of charge.. so the hotel lost some business because of that.) 3) We hired a car at end of stay so did not need a car park..but.. If you have a car they charge lots for a car park. This kind of 'penny pinching' (Charging for internet and parking) will be losing them business! Why dont they add a few pounds to the room charge? We would probably have paid for it but got annoyed at what looked like penny pinching.

Hostility in reception at check out time. Failure of staff to believe what we had been told by the hotel over the phone re parking prior to arrival. We had been informed that parking would cost £6 a day and we reserved a space accordingly. We were charged £12.50. There was ample parking and there was clearly no need to reserve. The extra charge was because we had reserved, but we were told beforehand that it would only cost £6. Two largely sleepless nights. Noisey guests returning to their rooms throughout both Friday and Saturday night (as late as 4.30 am). Our room (310) was next to the lifts and the floorboards creaked loudly at that juncture whenever anyone passed. Not the place for a so called executive suite for which there was a higher charge. Staying at large hotels at weekends is always a risk. Never again at the Whitehouse!!

Breakfast was good; dining room staff were good.

The whole visit was spoiled by our treatment on checkout by the person who said she was manager of the front desk. Both the other couple we were travelling with, as well as my wife and I had, on the phone, reserved carpark spaces for two nights. When the booking was done it was quoted to us at £6 per night. I called on the phone a few days before the visit to confirm both the booking as well as things like, how we got in the car park; how we would recognise our slots, etc. When we checked in, we told reception staff that we had parked in the reserved spaces as they had been described to us - even though there were plenty of non-reserved spaces - and had a brief, friendly conversation about it. However, on checkout, our parking charges had been more than doubled and the reception manager refused to believe that - unless we could provide the names of the people we had spoken to on the phone - she would not accept that this had been done, and she not give us (or our friends), our agreed parking rates. Although we 'discussed' this for a while, she was adamant. During this 'discussion', all the other several checking-out customers also appeared to be complaining about billing/service errors, as well as their parking charges. When I returned later - to make sure I had the name of the checkout manager - I heard her say to one of the complaining customers, "I will take those parking charges off your bill". I don't know the context - but that is what I heard, and it was not reassuring. These incidents naturally spoiled what should have been an enjoyable weekend break. The reason for our visit was a School annual reunion which we often attend as well as share hotel experiences with other out-of-towners. We shall obviously never stay at the Worcester Whitehouse again, nor recommend it. This is a great pity - from the hotel's point of view as well as ours - as many of the other staff were more that what one would normally expect.

It was very central to the town, short walking distance. It was a special occasion weekend for us and on arrival we were uplifted to a better room which was a lovely surprise

central location, excellent staff, city centre car parking (very cheap for overnight stay), large rooms with comfortable seating for both guests (a lot of hotels only offer one seat per room), good on-suite facilities

Nothing to complain or comment about

It was central and the breakfast was OK.

The adjoining rooms - I could hear the conversation of the couple in the next room. A group of teenage boys running around the hotel until gone 12 o'clock. Paying for Wi-fi and carparking on top of your stay.

Hotel was lovely, had a Spanish feel to it. The rooms were spotless and the staff very obliging and courteous.

The seagulls were very noisy at night which kept me awake! Unavoidable!
