Underfloor heating-either too hot or too cold!!
Good location, comfortable room, nice bar area and good breakfast.
superb menu, food well presentated and delicious. Not even expensive. Returning very soon
The mattress on the bed. No food available from when kitchen closed at 2.30 pm until 6 pm. Not good for those who have just travelled a long distance.
One member of staff was extremely helpful. She was Australian.
The bath was extremely small I couldn't relax after a long day. The bed was also too firm for me but that is a personal taste
The rooms were a great size. The bar was lovely to relax in
My room and facilities on offer were excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the tea making facilities was a nice touch. The restaurant served great food at reasonable prices.
Green light of fire exit sign inside room kept us awake as used to darker room
The bed was very uncomfortable, broken springs, informed staff and was told that they will check it out but they are going to re-do some rooms soon!!!! Worse nights sleep ever.
The restaurant food was excellent.
The staff who booked us in were clearly shocked we are gay women and kept trying to talk us into a twin room rather than the double we booked. Feel cheap and cheerful chains of hotel are better value.
The bed was reasonably comfortable. Room service.
Breakfast - shambles. No "fresh brewed coffee" as advertised. We were pointed to sachets that were decaf and a dodgy urn. Eventually got standard instant. No brown toast. Come on, standards are slipping at TWE
Comfort of the room Cleanliness of the room

The bed queaked!!
On arrival my husband asked if we could change rooms for one with a bath. You would have thought he'd asked for the moon. However we were given a different room. It was basic but clean. The bed was very uncomfortable as the mattress clearly needs turning. We could feel the springs. The room was not soundproofed and the car park was right under our window. At breakfast we were advised to help ourselves from the buffet which consisted of juice, tea/coffee and cereal. There were no cups and no spoons and heaven help anyone who wants a continental. No cheese, meat, yoghurt or fruit. The only choice on the menu was a full English or variations of. No porridge. Toast comes ready buttered and when I asked for non buttered toast the waitress looked stunned, said nothing and turned on her heel. The staff were having their breakfast in full view and hearing of guests, which was enlightening! An interesting experience!!!
The hotel is in a good location for Sywell and Ecton. The room had tea and coffee making and was a good size.
Ordered egg on toast with beans and tomatoes, got bacon on toast!
Small tv, unable to order food at 5pm arrival, food was not available until 6pm. No fore warning of this on website. Very abrupt check in staff, unable to offer local alternatives for food and unable to locate/allocate room for us. Felt like we were an inconvenience. Not ideal for a first impression. Would think twice about staying here again and would actively seek alternatives. Hopefully one without a filthy shower mat.
Decoration, very polite cleaner, offered assistance and asked if there was anything we needed... The one credit that this hotel has to offer.
pillows were flat bathroom could be a little more sanitised
Room looked nice and was clean Restaurant was good and value for money Bar area was nice and relaxing Wifi
We found out on arriving at the hotel that we could have got the room £30 cheaper when booking a table in the restaurant - I thought this was very unfair as we also had a meal in the restaurant but apparently it had to be booked in advance to get this offer -I think this should be brought to your attention when booking as we booked our room a couple of weeks earlier
Room and food was all lovely and was in a great location for our stay
Waste bin hadn't been emptied following the previous guests leaving. Very uncomfortable (hard) bed and poor quality pillows. Noisy, both during the night and from about 6 in the morning (outside) although, in fairness, we were on the ground floor.
Breakfast was superb, after we'd asked for a cereal bowl and fresh, hot coffee. Room had a pleasant layout and was reasonably well equipped. Good location since we were visiting friends in the same village.
The hotel had character very charming. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room comfortable. Breakfast enjoyable. As we were visiting relatives we did not get chance to eat lunch or supper in dining room, but it was always busy. Pub was great especially the band on Friday night.
TV a bit small bath a bit small
Modern clean rooms great food
I think the deck area could be improved but its only a suggestion
Service, rooms, evening meal
Had dinner and steak in the pie wasnt great. Room is very tired, tv inadequate as is wifi. Breakfast very limited selection.
Bed very uncomfortable, we could feel the springs in the mattress. The mattress was also too firm for us. The room was very hot and as we were on the ground floor we felt uncomfortable leaving the window open all night but had to. Also the TV was very very small and a very dark picture.
Convenient for the direction we were travelling.
Friendly,quiet good food
