Nothing. I booked in for 4 nights and left after two nights when I found alternative accommodation!! Tiny, pokey room. Wallpaper coming off the walls in the room. Restaurant was not open so had to have takeaways - eaten in my car in a back alley. No food or drink allowed in rooms. No car-park provided. Rated as 4...... 4 star ! 1 star would be more accurate.

Stayed here last year and obviously was good value, good old fashioned place to stay. Clean sheets, friendly staff. I was able to choose from the menu and select time I wanted to eat, the food was fabulous, portions more than you eat and service was excellent. I will definitely stay again if I need to go back to Hartlepool

there was no smoking signs in the room and my collegue smoked 2 cigarettes, The owner never mentioned no smoking in the room and charged me £100 for room cleaning as he had the window open when he smoked the 2 cigarettes. As they were only 2 guest rooms taken i think they needed more money, so £180 for b&b for 2 persons

It was filthy dirty, bathroom sink was hanging off of wall. I cleaned the bathroom before we used it. Bed's were so un-comfortable mine sank in the middle, my aunt's was like a board ? The lady was quite chirpy and helpful unlike her husband. There is no parking only along a back alley where my car was scratched. English breakfast sounded wonderful until it arrived, we even requested certain type of egg's i.e scrambled when approached, they were horrendous, the whol experience was awful and a complete waste of money. Hotel should never of even been rated

The manager arranged for me to move to a better hotel about three miles away because the room I had booked became unavailable on the day of my arrival. Although I was not charged extra for the dearer hotel, I incurred unplanned expenditure through having to take taxis and a bus as this hotel was no longer within reasonable walking distance of my destination. Also, there were no up-to-date railway timetables at reception.
