The hotel is ideally placed in the centre of Harrogate and is an extremely striking buidling externally. The internal decorations are contemporary, and some of the wooden furniture was a little jaded, but it was not unacceptebly so and all of the communla areas, rooms and bathrooms has high levels of hygiene. It had a professional but relaxed atmosphere and the staff in all roles within the team were polite and responsive and gave excellent service.

I liked the location of the Yorkshire Hotel I was disappointed with the lack of staff at breakfast, the lack of food available when service was still on and hadn't ended. I was unhappy about the time it took for staff to refill my coffee cup. The fact that here was no bread for toast. I was disappointed that there was a lack of choice with children’s cereals as my children were with me. I was unhappy that the plates were left under the lights on the hot buffet without warning and I burnt my hand. Staff were not available to supervise this area adequately. I was unhappy that there was damp in my bathroom seeping from the bathroom next door.

Good location and friendly helpful staff. Can't comment for all of the rooms, but the fourth floor and room we were allocated was quite tired and past it's best I felt. The bed was very comfortable though. Would expect a better execution of home comforts when away (limited Tea and Coffee and milk in the room), especially at the price being charged. The hotel's location is very good, though parking at the hotel is limited. It's ideal for the business traveller attending functions at the nearby centre. I would stay again, but would look to negotiate a better discount or look to have more included in the price.

Location was excellent - right in the centre of things, yet set back from the road, so quiet. Receptionist was very helpful. Our room was damp, with wallpaper peeling off and water stains down the wall. The doors slam shut, so we were woken by guests leaving their rooms from 5am onwards. There were blonde hairs all over the floor. The room was very cramped. Our friends were staying on a different floor, and their room was nice, so maybe we just got a bad deal.

We enjoyed our stay at the yorkshire, recent reviews were unjustified, we were pleasantly surprised, although the bed creaked and the walls are paper thin-we heard our neighbours argue at 3 in the morning. On the whole a nice hotel at a good price.

Location was very good in town centre. Entrance to hotel & Reception area good. Staff friendly and helpful. On site parking. Room size was adequate, very nice view. Room disappointing, decor desperately needs updating, carpets & furnishings need renewing. No toiletries in bathroom, only on request at reception! Very little toilet roll on holder, folded in v shape, therefore no mistake, was unbelievable. Breakfast should be included in the price. Unfortunately, only 30 parking spaces, luckily we got the last one. Facilities no better than well known chain of low budget run hotels.

Excellent staff and good breakfast. Single room meant single room and at £70 it was poor value. Extractor fan blowing all night outside the room with the window open because no Air Con. Very light, thin roller blind so light streaming in from dawn. Rotten nights sleep.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, great location to get around the town and close to local transport links to go further afield Hotel seemed very run down - stained carpets, missing enamel in the toilet and personal pet hate which was no proper double bed in the room, just two single mattresses zipped together.

The convenience of being on the doorstep to the shops and restaurants. Helpful staff, large airy bedroom with plenty of room for the four of us to move around even with two large double beds in. Sometimes you are unlucky not to find a parking space.

The size of the room and modern look to the room. Really liked that there was a separate living room area. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff were brilliant. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms themselves were basic, nothing special about them but they were clean and comfortable.

We stayed at The Yorkshire Hotel for the Christmas weekend which also coincides with our wedding anniversary. We were well looked after during our stay, fed well and were served by very good staff members. For our wedding anniversary dinner we were presented with a bottle of champagne with the managements compliments. We have stayed there quite a few times and have enjoyed our visits to Harrogate and the hotel.

The hotel staff were very helpfull after there was a problem with our booking, I booked 1 room for 2 x adults but with 2 x extra beds for 2 children, the room wasn't big enough for 2 extra kids beds so another exra room was made available at no extra cost, thank you ! Just hat our room never had the extra kids beds, apparently due to the info not being passed from the booking company t The Yorkshire Hotel booking / reception.

The location was central and the staff very pleasant and efficient. The parking is poor, the room was very badly finished off ie grout not cleaned off in the bathroom, stains on the tables, very poor quality furniture. Some of the lights were not working. The bed was very very uncomfortable and sunk down on one side. The pull out bed was no better. The breakfast was very poor lukewarm food and a very poor selection considering the price they are charging. I would not stay at this hotel again, the attention to detail is not looked at.

My room was extremely comfortable and warm after my long journey from the south. The staff within the hotel were extremely friendly and made me very welcome. The location was excellent as very central. The room I had seemed to be next to a generator or a room that was full of light and buzzing - made it difficult to sleep.

We found our stay comfortable, with very helpful staff, good views across Montpellier Gardens and particularly enjoyed its centrality - not to mention the availability of Radios 3, 4 and Al Jazeera tv news, which makes it a hit in our book!

The reception staff were very helpful and courteous. The room was on the small side but was very clean. We did not eat at The Yorkshire as were were going to a wedding at an hotel within walking distance. I would definately use the The Yorkshire again if we were staying in Harrogate.

Good location, but rather down at heel. Used as a stop over on way back from Scotland. Convenient. Hotel has seen better days. Room and adjacent corridors were shabby, and not well heated. Windows ill fitting and jammed with card board to stop them rattling. In view of these problems, it was not cheap. We expected better from viewing it's web site.
