The best aspect to this hotel is it's proximity to Central London. This hotel did not offer a good degree of comfort or even some basic amenities. Breakfast: a full range of the hot items in the buffet selection were not available at any one time in a 35 minute period in the restaurant. The self-service spoons were not cleaned or ever replaced within this time frame. Bedroom: totally lacking in any comforting atmosphere - 3 single beds arranged in a soulless room. One bed was under the TV, the wires to which would have been pulled out if anyone had used the bed and turned over in the night. For a 3-bed (twin occupancy on this occasion) one packet of biscuits was provided. The bathoom was tiny and there was no caddy in the shower for gels. |

Staff very friendly and efficient, the room and ensuite bathroom well decorated (refurbished), good central heating, large tv with all channels, good internet connection with bt Openzone, fantastic location - easy to walk around centre without getting tube. Room was slightly on the small side compared to other hotels but great for 2 people for a few nights, especially when not spending much time in the room. Old windows didn't keep noise out - noise from a building site or something throughout the night! |

The bedding was clean, the beds were comfy and the staff absolutly faultless. We were also provided with a free breakefast which had a excellent selection and tasted great. While I realise that I paid very little for this room considering its normal price I do not feel that the quality of the room was up to standard. The bathroom suite was mixed and mismatched from several and the shower cubicle itself wasnt necessarily dirty but looked dingy and grubby. There were water marks down the walls that ended in mucky marks at the skirting boards. I would definatly stay here again but if given this room again, I would be asking to change. |

Staff friendly and helpful. Everything very clean and comfortable. Hairdryer was a bit rubbish. Breakfast maybe a little expensive but not unusual for London hotels. Was worried when I saw some of the reviews online and I gather some people are given rooms which have not yet been refurbished. I don't think that's good enough. The rooms should be out of use till they have been upgraded. |

The rooms were very clean and the location was excellent. The receptionist! She was incredibly rude and lacked the most basic of manners! |

The room we were eventually allocated because they did not have our booking was horrible the floor was dirty the wallpaper was peeling of the walls with dirty splash marks on and the bathroom floor was disgusting. I have made a complaint to the hotel general manager as yet he has not come back to me. |

Location TV's plug wasn't woking. There was the same problem with the kettle (although I managed to make it work somehow). The sink was bad because the drain wasn't working properly, and water just stayed there. |

Staff pleasent & helpful. Food reasoable quality, but not outstanding considering the prices charged. The bedrooms are a disgrace, they are in desperate need of refurbishment. |

Staff were very polite and helpful - fantastic!. Breakfast was good. Location of hotel (near Euston and also to where I was going) was great. The price of the room was very competitive for a hotel in that location. My mobile broadband got a good 3G reception from the hotel room. Room was nice and quiet (being at the back of the hotel). The only problem was that the room clearly had damp with peeling and bubbling wallpaper. As it was just me staying, I was happy to go with it. If my wife and kids had been staying also, I don't think it would have been acceptable! I did notice that various notices had been displayed however that decorating was being done and appreciate it's an old building. |

I was appalled by the standard of the double room that we stayed in. The tiles were falling off the wall in the shower and there was actually grout in the shower tray when you got in it. I realise Thistle only provide basic accomadation, but surely there is a standard of hygiene/quality to remember. The room, it was worse than poor. |

It seemed that you had stuck me and my husband in what seemed like a single room, as the room was so small, there was only one towel, and tea and coffee for one!! The bathroom was so grubby. It was such a shame as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. I would not have paid £20 for this room. |

Reception staff were polite and helpful, entrance decor and style belies the run down nature of the rest of the hotel though. I paid £109 for room only, which is not bad for a weekday night in that area of London, however this hotel would never be my first choice in the area because of the poor quality of the rooms. The poor quality of the rooms, the rooms are in dire need of refurbishment. |

Winter Warmer deal gave us excellent discount & complimentary bottle of wine!Upgrade to large 3 bed room; good fresh bedding; quiet room; helpful, cheerful staff; reasonable cost parking nearby; excellent restaurant with friendly efficient staff. Slightly shabby corridors and room, both in need of freshening up (in contrast to smart restaurant & reception). Greeted in room by odd tangy smell in bedroom & bathroom (due to bad choice of air freshener?) tho' got used to it quickly. |

Very close to covent garden and the city centre The room did not have double glazing and it was on a busy street where the noise often woke us up. We arrived back at the hotel at 1230 am from a night out, there were lots of people in the bar but the staff said it was shut and we could not get a drink. |
