The Bloomsbury Park is een elegant Edwardiaans hotel. Het ligt tussen het financiële centrum van de stad en het West End, dicht bij metrostation Russell Square. Het heeft een restaurant, 2 bars en lichte, moderne kamers. Elke kamer heeft airconditioning en u vindt er een flatscreen-tv, een radio, thee- en koffiefaciliteiten, en een eigen badkamer met een haardroger. Vanaf metrostation Russell Square is het slechts een ritje van 10 minuten naar de theaters, winkels, bars en restaurants van West End. U bevindt zich ook op niet meer dan 10 minuten lopen van Covent Garden en het British Museum. Brasserie-Restaurant Bloomsbury Kitchen en de aangrenzende bar zijn stijlvol ingericht en hebben notenhouten vloeren, hoge plafonds en veel natuurlijke lichtinval. In de bar worden zowel lokale als internationale wijnen en bieren geschonken. Hotelkamers: 95, Hotelketen: Thistle. De meest recente reservering voor dit hotel was gisteren om 18:00 in Ierland

De service en de ligging. Toen wij er waren was de lift stuk. Dat was wat lastiger, maar kan gebeuren. De bagage kon je naar je kamer laten brengen en ze boekten iedereen op de laagste etages, meer konden ze niet doen.

Reden van mijn bezoek aan Londen was deelname aan een vakbeurs (Ecobuild 2012) in Exel. Het is een fantastisch en modern gebouw. De meeste kamers waren reeds vergeven of de prijzen waren 'sky high'. Daarom week ik uit naar de city. Onderstaand mijn argumenten waarom ik voor dit hotel koos: - Goede prijs/ kwaliteitverhouding; - Op loopafstand bereikbaar van Sint Pancras Station (10-15 minuten) met dank aan Google Maps; - Op loopafstand bereikbaar van Holborn (Underground/ sub) om naar bv. Excel te gaan (duurt circa 30 tot 40 minuten); - Om de hoek ligt een mooi park, met oude huizen, faculteit neurologie', gezellige bar (The Queens Larder).

Ligging is perfect. Prima hotel maar erg hoog geprijsd voor wat er geboden wordt! Als ontbijt erbij inbegrepen was dan is de prijs redelijk te noemen, maar dat is hier niet het geval! Prijs/kwaliteit is niet in verhouding.

Uitstekende centrale ligging, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, prettige en schone kamer, heel goed onderhouden kamers en gebouw. Parkeergarage op 200 meter afstand. Kamers aan de straatkant hebben gezellig uitzicht, maar straatlawaai wel hoorbaar.

- Great service. I didn't feel like my crutch was a problem during my stay. - The nearby area. - The view from the windows. - The lack of sound-proff walls (sometimes there were barricaded doors). I heard someone's alarm bell for hours one day.

Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Value for money. Unfortunatly the new lift was out of order. We had a 2nd floor room, so not so bad.

General hotel cleanness is good and the bar and restaurant are all very close to the main entrance (although the bar didn't stock Bacadi !!) Ideally located between underground stations of Russell Square and Holburn - it is a 10 min walk to the Palace Theatre Room was fairly clean but the old sash windows needed serious cleaning / attention Lift is still not working - as reported in a review about 6 months ago! Walls in the rooms were very thin so were noisy at night

Its location to Russel square station 4 min walk and holborn station 7 min walk and covent garden 12 min walk plus lots of shops bars near by. The lift wasn't working

The entire stay was a disappointment. The rating and description on booking.com is both inaccurate and misleading. Our room was not air conditioned as stated and the hotel is certainly not "elegant". The lift was not working which was not disclosed until after we checked in. The room was so small the door hits a bed before fully open. The only venilation was a window that can be opened only a few inches. Although the room is a twin, there is no facility for more than one set of linens in the bathroom and no place or shelf to put toiletries. The staff was friendly but generally unknowledgeable about topics such as theaters, transport to Heathrow, etc. A 10 pound per day charge for access to the internet is uncompetitive.

The breakfast was out of this world. Very very nice. The rooms were a bit disappointing. My mother recently had a hip operation and the lifts weren't working so she had to trek up three flights of stairs. The hotel kindly deducted the price of our breakfast from the bill because of this inconvenience.

the hotel was reasonably priced for its location. The rooms were comfortable facilities good The lift was being refurbished (not stated at time of booking and looked like it had been out of order for some time) so had to carry bags upto 4th floor. windows of the hotel are old not double glazed and the noise from outside with being in the City centre can be a little loud.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room 13 was on ground floor and of a decent size even for a couple. Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. Not too sure about value for money but I guess you are paying for location.

The staff were very helpful particularly paulo and roos anne the food was very good and the breakfast was super value at £10 with fresh fruit/yoghurts cold and hot buffet The rooms were ok but "tired" with windows that were thankfully part open but stuck! Could have done with air conditioning. Room was no smoking but as I pointed out to the indian gentlemen on reception there were cigarette butts on the window ledge which was filthy

The food was nice, staff very friendly but the room I was in (410) was the smallest room I've ever been in. I could lie on the bed, and touch both walls if I put my arms out!

- Central location - Staff were awful. Could not answer basic questions about how to get to major sights, provided wrong directions then couldn't be bothered with more than a half hearted apology. - Room was simply not clean. I could have written my name in the dust in certain areas of the room

Location is quite good and room was clean. The room had a window over a back alley and there was scaffolding against the building; with the steel bars across it the room was like a prison cell. Also, very small an little space around bed. In general the corridors and doors looked a bit scruffy.
