Dunstane City Hotel  

A modern, well designed room.

A minor issue was having to cross the road to the sister hotel to get a night cap before bed. A minor inconvenience that in no way distracted form our two nights which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Spacious room, luxury bathroom ,fantastic breakfast,bus stop directly outside friendly and helpful staff

- Price/quality of the rooms is not brilliant. Rooms are ok, but nothing special, paid 125 pound a night.

Great room, really comfortable, light, spacious with stylish modern bathroom and all immaculately clean. My experience of some other Edinburgh hotels in that price range (and many above!) is that they can be rather old/dusty/impersonal - Dunstane City is highly unusually good.

the staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was luxury. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. It was so close to City centre, will recommend to friends and family and will definately stay here again. Thanks to everyone in the hotel for making our stay great.

Comfortable and modern inside. Close enough to the city centre and Murraryfield to walk it. Close to Haymarket Station

Very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Buses right outside hotel to and from city centre.

I like the stuff very very friendly and helpful , Internet is fast , it's close to bus station.

The room is small and also the path room .

We received an email before our stay with different offers including room upgrades which we thought was nice. The staff were excellent, they couldnt do enough to help you and were always polite and friendly. Breakfast service was quick. Lovely bathroom, nice bath and toiletries! The decor was modern and stylish but fitted in well with the traditional aspects of the hotel, and the conservatory next to our room was a great touch, nice to sit and have an afternoon glass of wine in the sun after a busy day of sightseeing!

There wasnt much to not like apart from we felt our room was on the small side, but this is likely due to the fact that we were in the basement. There was some noise coming from above us but all in all it didnt put us off and we had no reason to complain. If we were to go stay again then we would likely upgrade to a bigger room.

Decor and appearance first rate, comfy room with very good facilities including fast wifi. Staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Handy for the city

Room was spacious, clean and very nicely decorated. Breakfast is full of choice and delicious, staff is very friendly and helpful. All in all a very charming structure.

We booked this because of the advertised free wi-fi which was broken all weekend. This seriously affected the work we were doing. Also the phone signal was very weak in our basement room. The shower temperature was also set too low, and I'm sure this will be rectified quickly.

Having the suite we enjoyed the space and the quality extras such as molten brown toiletries and the freshley cooked breakfast.

Room was nice and clean. A little smaller than expected but still a goos size. The staff make you feel welcome and the breakfast was good

The welcome we received and the general helpfulness of the staff were both fantastic. The room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent as well. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Dunstane City Hotel! Many thanks.

We left our car at home for this trip and as the Dunstane City Hotel is on a main bus route it was really convenient to get into the city .

The bar had no atmosphere about it at all.Two groups asked for crisps to go along with drinks these had to come across a busy road from the sister hotel.

Room was luxurious and large Breakfast was Continental/full Scottish, food was good and plentiful with varied choices. We were upgraded to a Superior room due to a problem that they hotel had with a fire alarm system prior to our arrival. A brilliant weekend at a brilliant hotel

rooms outstanding with quality furnishings , a comfy bed , bathroom especially nice , restaurant area beautiful , quality full english breakfasts , or continental , staff more than helpful , overall a cracking place to stay and will definately be booking again , first class would highly recommend

Excellent service and well presented in all areas.

Easy to find, warm and welcoming reception. I was told at check in that there would be an event in the hotel that evening. Apart from the occasional door banging, it did not intrude. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was good (included in room price). Dinner can be booked in sister hotel across road. Although located on the A8 the hotel was quiet
